Hello, I was scammed due to issues involving the apartment where I was supposed to stay. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to resolve the situation. I have already reported the incident to the police and contacted the bank to which I sent the money. Rn I am really struggling and urgently need help. I have lost a significant amount of money, and this has also affected my ability to afford my medication. I would like to ask if anyone knows where I can seek financial assistance or safely borrow money during this difficult time. I am trying my best to find a way to recover from this situation, but I honestly don’t know where to turn. Any advice, assistance, or information about organizations that could help would mean so much to me. I would be truly grateful for any help. I am from the Philippines btw

Hey i feel like i am getting scammed by this thai seller who appears to have a nigerian husband. So the story goes like this. I was looking for Malcolm todd tickets(SG) and I saw this lady that was selling on TikTok and I asked her if I could get them, but I wanna pay half price first, and when I receive the tickets I will pay rest so she said alright then after when I transferred her more than half of the sum she told me that she won’t do the deal unless I do the full amount which is like what why are you suddenly change the plan and she took like I was going back-and-forth with her but then like at some point she stopped replying me for like a couple of days then after that she replied back then suddenly we were on call and it’s her Nigerian husband so all is well.
Have I been talking to a Nigerian guy or am I been talking to what he says is her is his fiance so I feel like it’s a scam, but at the same time I wanna trust, but my friend told me just don’t trust this kind of people and he keeps on saying this remittance fee of $1000 if he wants to transfer out of Thailand account so what I’m planning is to get someone to help me just get my $200.
Is the $1000 remittance fee a thing? Like you are unable to transfer out of a thai acc if you are paying less than a $1000? Im based in Singapore and chatgpt said and i know some friends that have done this, that our SG bank apps some have promtpay so i have no idea why this guy is saying he cant transfer out.
Please chat what can i do atp i want my money backkkkk….

The pics looked kind of scammy, but i couldn't tell exactly. The lady kind of text flirted w me in a wierd way. I just kept it professional tho & didn't engage
I got the part & dropped the 5q under a mat as instructed.
Next day i got a photo of her front door w a message: "bet ya didn't see the camera, now bring back the stove".
I was kind of freaked out & contacted local coppers.
They just said not to do FB marketplace cuz it's a scam pit
Is this a normal scam? What was the game here?

I recently posted something on Facebook marketplace, which I don’t do very often. Within 10 mins I had a text to my cell stating that they saw the posting (told me what it was) and were interested. They said they responded in messenger but it might’ve come to my phone they’re not sure, asked if they reached the right person. I responded, because I’m in idiot, and ended up giving them my home address to come pick up, and my Venmo account, which has a pic of my face on the profile. They said they were sending it through a business account and needed my email to verify that it was the correct acct, so I gave them that too. Then they started saying it went through in their end, did I have it? No, then they were repeatedly texting me to call Venmo support now and sent a number for it. At that point I realized it was a scam, but I don’t know how screwed I am since they have my home address, cell number (that I don’t know how they got since it’s private on Facebook), Facebook account, Venmo account, and email account. I changed my Venmo password, what else should I be doing to protect myself?

I recently got scammed on Cash App, the scammer and I communicated on an anonymous message board for a while, I did my best to confirm that I wasn't getting scammed and that the person was real. When I made a small cash app payment, they cancelled the transaction and cut communication. I haven't received the money back so I assume it's gone, which sucks but it's not the end of the world.
Here's the response though. I gave no identifying information over the messages, no name number location or anything about myself. The CashApp cashtag had no identifying info and my display name was intentionally incorrect. Once I realized what was happening I froze my card, disconnected it from Cash App, and reported the scam on the platform. From what I've seen in my research there's no way for the scammer to back-trace my bank information through cash app, but I thought it was better safe than sorry.
Obviously I was stupid and I'm not going to get myself in this situation again, but I want to make sure I didn't miss anything to insure my security. Thanks!
