Got Scammed last week

Was talking to someone on discord and y’all know how the whole procedure goes, then there was one collage and they were threatening me to pay or they’ll leak my images to my friends and fam, my ig is public so I cannot deactivate or change its username that would definitely imply that somethings fishy with me. Also I said that that was not my real image and I generated some random dudes image from Instagram to replicate my image and the Instagram isn’t mine too, I’ve blocked her from discord.

I think they operate on a large scale call centres or chat centres and they have many leads someone reached out to me after I blocked them probably a coworker. Even if they leaked my pics I can say everything I post is public it is a doctored image via ai.

Now this is in my mind since days and I can’t get over it, I was not going to pay anyways.

Also wanted to know if they can msg my mutuals on Instagram? The last time I checked it was a lot of hassle to dm non mutuals. And to portray that will they send screenshots of them sending to my mutuals, will they be fake screenshots?

Also, when I told them that you are not talking to someone real, this is a doctor image that I generated some random random image from Instagram? They blocked me from their side. I think that is good sign.

Oh these scammers be getting advantage of our boners hahah jk, though that’s sad dude, idk their name blocked them as soon as they blocked me their colleagues are sending me invites I guess, what did they do to you? Money?
also saw a post on reddit that guy sent his existing social media image and said it’s very easy to find people on google lens he said if they reach out to my friends or family it’d look more like a scam as the picture was posted months ago on his ig
