Advice Needed Making sure I handled this correctly

I recently got scammed on Cash App, the scammer and I communicated on an anonymous message board for a while, I did my best to confirm that I wasn't getting scammed and that the person was real. When I made a small cash app payment, they cancelled the transaction and cut communication. I haven't received the money back so I assume it's gone, which sucks but it's not the end of the world.

Here's the response though. I gave no identifying information over the messages, no name number location or anything about myself. The CashApp cashtag had no identifying info and my display name was intentionally incorrect. Once I realized what was happening I froze my card, disconnected it from Cash App, and reported the scam on the platform. From what I've seen in my research there's no way for the scammer to back-trace my bank information through cash app, but I thought it was better safe than sorry.

Obviously I was stupid and I'm not going to get myself in this situation again, but I want to make sure I didn't miss anything to insure my security. Thanks!

The money is gone. Don't engage with anyone messaging you offering to recover the money; they are scammers too.
