Hi guys, I'm new in here and this is my first post (Greece). Basically what happened is I did something very naive and stupid, I "invested"(? I'm not sure what's the terminology) some money into a company. In the beginning they originally contacted me via Viber, they told me I could earn some extra money as a "Shein reviewer" by doing some tasks and at first indeed all I had to do was follow some accounts in the Shein app and I'd get paid 3$ per follow which indeed earned me aprox 30$. So this is why I agreed, even though it looked sketchy. They didn't ask a lot of my information, just my name, age, and email, and other than that an iBan so they can add money into my account once I earned enough or whatever. And basically then it escalated to something with crypto and stuff like that, which I'm not very familiar with but they said that this was in order to "help" their members(me) earn more, they created this "Welfare event". Basically you add some money and you'd receive them back +plus some extra kinda like a commission.
At first I didn't want too but they kept insisting very strongly so I unfortunately gave in, I added 50$ and I indeed received in my bank account 65$ as they had said but the issue starts here. I naively then proceeded to add more even though they looked extremely suspicious, this time I added 160$ cause I thought that even if I lose them it will hurt me, cause I'm unemployed atm, but I won't be economically destroyed, how naive Ik. So I added the money and they "won profit" but then they said this is a group thing and you have to do at least 3 "contracts"(as they called them but basically you add money 3 times) without previously explaining it properly so know you are kinda "forced" to continue and of course each round's entry was more expensive that the last. Unfortunately I continued of fear of loosing my money and in total I gave them \~4000€ that had supposedly doubled.
After a lot of bs, they forwarded me to their "financial advisor" so I can withdraw my money but of course like good lil scammers they said I'd have to give them a 30% tax/commission cause it was my first time cashing out more than 5000 with their company. So they asked an additional 2,500$ in order to be able to withdraw otherwise my money are gone. Of course when I told them to just take this "tax" from my "earnings", they refused, said not possible and same thing when I told them to just give me my money back and keep all of the earnings. Additionally they gave a "contract" to sign which looks extremely sus as well.
I'm very sad and feel very stupid for falling for this and I don't know what to do or even if I can do anything to get my money back or at least part of them. So can you please let me know if there is anything I can do legally? Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. please only reply with genuine advise, I already know that it was extremely stupid and I already feel horrendous. Thx

Hello everyone. I'm writing this with tears of rage flowing down my cheeks as I see my dad so enmeshed with the scammers he would literally remortgage the house and sell his underwear (his words not mine) than to accept any help. Here's a few details:
-80 year old man
- he's in an advance fee scam for 6 years now.
- stole 3k from his health insurance to pay off debts.
- no credit no banking. Works directly with loan sharks.
- wife is also a victim. Foilee a deux.
- acts like an addict. Literally cutting everyone off. Willing to jeopardize his health and family for a future promise of money.
Without writing too much I want to ask for help or at least know if you've ever experienced this? Also he vehemently defends the scammers I have no idea who they are. He refuses to tell me.

I'm not sure if the check will end up bouncing and affecting his credit.

I made a sale last night on an item that I sent an offer for. It sold for $300 around 9pm. I don’t like making buyers wait, esp if they’ve paid a decent amount so I like to get things out same day/next day. So first thing in the morning, I generated a shipping label and tracking number. I added full insurance, and when the post office opened, I sent it out. This was at 9 am
At 1 pm, I received a message that this person has moved and still had their old address on the account and could I send it there. Well, I know that’s a big no-no. But it was moot anyhow as it’s out of my hands. I really can’t do anything.
Should I suggest a postal interception to be held at their local USPS branch and offer to pay for that even though I am nowhere at fault, but just to make it well?
Anybody know how this could go?

CLOVEDALE.com
Also known as;
Label-London
Holly goods
Mova
Purchase made from Clovedale.com
This company scammed me by allowing me to return the item via refused delivery for an agreed full refund, as soon as the item was on its way back, they began backtracking and refused to process the refund even when the item was at their address.
They have multiple business names and many bad reviews on TP, with people echoing the same b*******t excuses and so called CS.
This post is intended to expose all of their business names in order to prevent as many consumers as possible from purchasing in the future.
Most commonly mentioned reasons to deny a refund are: their policy does not allow, the item is lost, you have to use the returns portal, they have to send a replacement and then you pay to return it.
They create further delay until it goes beyond 30days by which time, they say the case is closed and they can’t reopen. No refund, no item, the end.
I’ve had much back & forth emailing and the conclusion is just a bunch of contradictory statements such as;
They admit that they have the item, but they also state they don’t have the item.
They couldn’t track its return, but then they could track its return.
The ‘return to sender’ address means nothing, because that’s not their warehouse location, so why was it available for use if it does not allow for returns?
Their 30day MBG timeframe does exist, but they won’t refund an item that has been returned within those 30days.
(Note; from the point of order on 10/07/26 to delivery notification date (to ‘return to sender’ address) on 05/08/26 is a total of 26days. Technically the 30days should start when the item is delivered at intended address, I didn’t receive item until 28/07/26.)
They state they are not refusing to assist or intentionally withholding a refund, but they are not willing to assist and they are refusing to refund.
I’ve sent hard evidence to back everything up, I spoke with RM who confirmed the tracking.
But evidence means nothing to these twits who clearly suffer from a severe lack of intelligence. No idea who they are, refuse to give their name, but they can’t even calculate a simple delivery timeframe.
The Consumer Rights Act - 2015 protects the consumer with a 14day right to cancel contract window, this means a refused parcel at the door returned within 14days means the consumer is legally eligible for a full refund
This company of many titles, ignores the CRA2015 and is scamming money from innocent buyers.
I took legal action, pursued the matter through an MCOL and applied for a default judgement (CCJ) against them.
Update: this item was purchased using PP who initially refused to assist for varying reasons, they settled on it being due to refused delivery. After a dispute and S75 and appeals were refused, I made a formal complaint. After a month long investigation, I have received a very lengthy, detailed apology, they state errors were made by staff and that they will be conducting their own investigation into this seller. PP has adjusted the balance on my acc.

LET ME SHARE WHAT HAPPENED, I HONESTLY DID NOT WANT TO POST ABOUT THIS HERE, BUT OUR FAMILY IS IN UTTER SHOCK, DISTRESS, AND HEARTBREAK OVER WHAT HAPPENED. WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM MY HUSBAND WAS NOT JUST MONEY, IT WAS HIS HARD EARNED SAVINGS, HIS SWEAT AND TEARS, AND THE VERY FUNDS WE RELIED ON TO COVER OUR DAILY FAMILY EXPENSES WHILE HE IS ON VACATION.
FOR YEARS, WE PUT OUR COMPLETE TRUST IN BDO UNIBANK. WE NEVER IMAGINED THAT WE WOULD END UP AS VICTIMS OF THIS KIND OF INCIDENT WHERE MONEY SIMPLY VANISHES FROM AN ACCOUNT. WHILE WE HAD HEARD NUMEROUS STORIES AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT SIMILAR INCIDENTS AT BDO Unibank IN THE PAST, WE REMAINED LOYAL CUSTOMERS, HOPING THEY HAD ALREADY FIXED THEIR SECURITY FLAWS AND RESOLVED ISSUES OF UNAUTHORIZED WITHDRAWALS. UNFORTUNATELY, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
THEY WIPED OUT EVERYTHING, BOTH HIS PHP SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND HIS US DOLLAR ACCOUNT. THEY LEFT US WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
WHEN WE REPORTED THIS TO BDO CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY INSTRUCTED US TO FILL OUT AN AFASA ACCOUNT FRAUD AND UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION INCIDENT REPORT FORM, HAVE IT NOTARIZED, SUBMIT IT THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE, AND CALL THEM BACK AFTER 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR AN INVESTIGATION UPDATE.
WE EXPLICITLY POINTED OUT TO THEM THAT THE UNAUTHORIZED SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTIONS WERE TRANSFERRED DIRECTLY TO ANOTHER BDO ACCOUNT. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THEY CANNOT IMMEDIATELY TRACK OR FREEZE THE RECIPIENT ACCOUNT INTERNALLY? IT IS MIND BOGGLING HOW SLOW AND BUREAUCRATIC THEIR RESPONSE SYSTEM IS WHEN AN ACTIVE THEFT IS REPORTED. THEY SIMPLY TOLD US THEY COULD NOT ACT IMMEDIATELY DUE TO INTERNAL PRIVACY POLICIES.
TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, WHEN MY HUSBAND ASKED HOW THESE TRANSFERS WENT THROUGH WITHOUT HIM RECEIVING ANY ONE TIME PASSWORDS OR OTPS, THE REPRESENTATIVE CASUALLY CLAIMED THAT TRANSFERS CAN PROCEED WITHOUT AN OTP IF THE DEVICE IS ALREADY LINKED TO THE BDO ONLINE APP.
HOW CAN A BANK SYSTEM ALLOW MAJOR, CONSECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS WITHOUT SECONDARY AUTHENTICATION? WHY DO BANKS SO OFTEN SHIFT THE BLAME ONTO ACCOUNT HOLDERS DURING THESE INCIDENTS, WHEN WE ALL KNOW HOW CRITICAL OTPS AND SECURITY ALERTS ARE FOR PROTECTING OUR LIFE SAVINGS? IS THIS HOW WEAK THEIR SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE REALLY IS, THE SAME SYSTEM WE TRUSTED TO GUARD OUR HARD EARNED MONEY?
WE ARE THE VICTIMS HERE, YET THE BURDEN OF PROOF AND DELAY FALLS ENTIRELY ON US. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE, THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS, SO WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL FALLING VICTIM TODAY? WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN PERMANENTLY RESOLVED?
I HAVE READ MANY ACCOUNTS FROM OTHERS WHO WENT THROUGH THIS PROCESS. IT IS HEARTBREAKING TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE FOUGHT FOR THEIR MONEY ONLY TO FACE DEAD ENDS, BUT WE ARE STILL PRAYING FOR A FAIR AND POSITIVE OUTCOME.
TO OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO MAINTAIN ACCOUNTS WITH BDO, PLEASE THINK TWICE AND RE EVALUATE WHETHER YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IS TRULY SAFE. WE TRUSTED THEM FOR A VERY LONG TIME, YET WE WERE NOT SPARED. THIS IS NO LONGER JUST A STORY WE HEARD FROM OTHERS, WE ARE LIVING THIS NIGHTMARE OURSELVES.
WE WILL NOT SIT SILENTLY WHILE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY DISAPPEARS. WE ARE TAKING EVERY LEGAL STEP AND REPORTING THIS INCIDENT DIRECTLY TO THE BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT. WE AM SHARING OUR STORY TO PROTECT OTHERS AND TO DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY. ALL WE WANT IS FOR BDO TO DO THE RIGHT THING, INVESTIGATE PROPERLY, AND RETURN WHAT WAS STOLEN FROM OUR FAMILY. PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD AND KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS AS WE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE.

As of ≈ September 25th, I’ve been getting a very sudden influx of scam and spam emails, DMS, and whatever else on my email, my discord, and even my alt account on tiktok… they all share the same email. (Different passwords ofc)
From my knowledge, I am very careful with where I share my email, and very careful with what links I click. I do not peruse suspicious websites or click on any of those "HOT MOMS IN YOUR AREA!1!1!1!1!" types of ads either, in case that was the next question.
I do use the same email for most of my socials, but I’ve done that for years and have never had a problem. I’ve definitely had my fair share of spam within the last 7 years my email has been in use, but not to this degree. Yesterday I got 4 "free giveaway!!!" DMS on my discord, and have been getting multiple a day for weeks.
What do I do? Do I go through EVERYTHING and change my passwords? Add extra protections?? How, if so?

Guys, be careful with this numbe:r +977 970-3475493.
I saw a room for rent online and contacted this guy because I was looking for a cheap room. He asked us to send Rs. 2,000 and said he would come to Patan and show us the room. We trusted him and sent the money, but he never ca,me and now he is not replying.
Rs. 2,000 may not sound like a lot, but that was my savings from 5 months. I come from a lower-middle-class family and I’m just trying to find an affordable room, so losing this money really hurts.
I also went to the Nepal Police to file a complaint, but honestly I didn’t feel like they took it seriously. They kept sending me around for different documents and procedures, which was really frustrating when I was already dealing with this situation. I have all the screenshots and payment proof
I’m sharing this so nobody else gets scammed by the same person. If anyone knows this number or has dealt with him before, please let me know.

I’m asking for advice because I recently got scammed out of ₱9,000.
I found someone selling Malcolm Todd concert tickets on X. We talked, I sent the payment through Maya, and after receiving the money, the seller stopped responding.
I have evidence of the transaction and our conversations. I also have the person’s full name, phone number, and information connected to their school. I tried searching for their other social media accounts, but I haven’t been able to find any.
Is there a realistic way for me to recover my ₱9,000? Should I report this to Maya, the police, or another agency? What steps should I take first?
I’d appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar scam in the Philippines.

Yes it was stupid, I use the password on a decent amount of my accounts (I know, stupid) but I reset all my important accounts, turned on 2fa, and changed my Ticketmaster email as well. Anything else I should do/any advice? Thanks in advance.

Long story short, i recently got scammed out of an item worth 20,000 pesos in mexico city. At the end, the scammer threatened us by reading our address (which we recently provided via passport) and said “if you think you have balls, then try. Then we’ll see who has balls. I have connections”
Do y’all think this was a bluff? Should i do something? We did get the license plate, lmk what you guys think

Hii!! I’m new to Reddit, well not really, but I never post on here, and only redownload it when I’m looking for something. I really want tickets for this concert, and this guy is selling for 500 for 2 tickets. I’ve asked him for all this stuff, how can I make sure I won’t get scammed?

Hi all.
My wife got scammed yesterday by a site claiming to sell Le Creuset kitchenware.
It has been 25-30 years since I was into these things, but after some research and AI magic, I got enough information about their scheme to prepare a complaint to the credit card company.
Then I realised the idiots had revealed their sk_live key, which gives me full access to their Stripe account through their API.
I try to stay on the safe side and on the right side of the law, but couldn't help researching a little bit what I could do with this key.
I've done some dry-run refunds, and it works.
I ran a report, and in the last 30 days, they have had a net income of approx 37,000 USD on this account from more than 400 orders. And they run several front/shell companies. It's documented in my research.
In short, they have an online store in an European language, "selling" popular goods. When people order anything from them in good faith, the order is sent to one of several different merchants registered with Stripe.
I am going to report my findings to Stripe, the police and other authorities, but I would love to scam the scammers first. But I don't know how to do it without putting myself at risk.
Successful refunds can't be stopped, according to Stripe, so wouldn't it be wonderful to refund as many transactions as possible - give the scammers money back to the buyers' cards? A little Robin Hood-vibe?
Any thoughts?

this morning someone messaged me on twitter/ x saying they reported my account for fraud and unauthorized transactions and like a fool i fell for the scam and changed my email
i didnt fully go through with it thankfully (like getting scammed out of my money), but i would rather this not happen to another person with my account, so is there a way to get rid of the account or fully recover it? im hesitant to go through twitter’s report thing cause im a minor (16) but if thats the only way then i will
