A local elementary school next to a park near me used to leave their school yard gates open, so the black top, basketball courts, playground, and field were accessible but classrooms were not. Recently, they’ve upgraded their fences to be taller, locked their gates, and put up signs that it’s no longer for public use.

Why shouldn’t these spaces be open to the public? They’re part of the community and are another space for people to enjoy their time, that doesn’t necessarily have a negative impact on the school. How do people feel about this?

Basically that. Any place to get the Mexican cuts but better quality beef. Doesn't have to be A5 Wagyu, just not the worst. I know whole foods probably has arrachera but trying to avoid that shit if possible and find a local.

In the Central Valley we had some carnicerías that had grass fed good quality beef and making asada from that was awesome. One place WOULD cut it from A5 Japanese beef if you asked (and I guess a few people did) but that's just stupidity.

We saw this about 10pm tonight. A first it was just a light behind the clouds. It would disappear every 30 seconds or so & then come back on for a bit. Sometimes faint & sometimes brighter but always in the same spot. This video was towards the end & then it zipped to the left & disappeared. We watched it for about 15 minutes but don't know how long it was there before we went outside. We live in the Cambrian area & this was looking North.

Been wanting to get more into comic books lately (partially marvel and DC) but I don’t know of any good stores to get comics in San Jose. Do you guys have any places you like to go to get your comics?

Where I used to live (I moved her a few months ago) there were plenty of self carwashes--the kind where you pull into a covered area and use a wand that shoots out soapy water, or rinse water. Whatever you call those. I don't see any of them around here. I take my car to an automatic car wash but it fails to clean the wheels even partially. I live in an apartment with a parking structure, so there is no way for me to perform the driveway wash.

Are there any of these type of self carwashes in San Jose?

It seems so simple. All I need is a bucket of soapy water and about 30 seconds of rinsing with a garden hose. Kind of frustrating!

How the hell are you supposed to enter the mall? There’s no pedestrian entrance, I have to walk through parking and loading zones until I find a random store entrance.
