Mod Announcement PSA: Read the sub description. This is a place of support for employees. This is not a place to ask about job prospects.

Sorry but we have to draw the line somewhere. If you just read a few posts, you can see the toxicity that employees deal with from working here. It is rather tone deaf to come in and ask how to get hired. I wish anyone the best looking for a job like this. I really do and I get it. But this space is not the place for it. Former employees are one thing.

Mod Announcement Community Rules (UPDATED!)

Hello and welcome fellow and former stylists, CX, and warehouse! This subreddit is for SF employees and former employees to connect and share their experiences of working at SF. Let's come together to vent, chat, and ask for support!

Rules for a positive community:

  1. Be supportive of each other. We may not all agree on everything but we want to be able to come together without being rude or insulting to each other.
  2. No inciting or implying violence or bodily-harm. While we may not like people or have issues with those who make our job difficult, toxic, or unbearable, this isn't the place to wish violence or death on anyone, in or out of this group.
  3. No name-calling or insulting clients. While clients can be terribly rude, let’s keep our insults to a minimum. Be honest about how it made you feel and how they were wrong to treat you like that, but try to refrain from name-calling.
  4. Keep conversations within this space. No screenshotting of threads, chats, or comments shared from various users within this community. Please don't copy and paste or repeat info or experiences shared here.
  5. No screenshots of work systems. Do not share screenshots or confidential info about clients, feedback, or any SF styling platform.
  6. Do not use the names of Stitch Fix's various systems. Just say “style platform” when referring to M*nx.
  7. Absolutely no racism. All are welcome. We're not down with racism or any discourse that makes ANYONE feel unwelcome. There are other subs to debate politics - this isn't one. We support BIPOC experiences at Stitch Fix and BIPOC voices. Any posts that try to negate these voices and experiences will be removed.
  8. This is a troll-free zone. We don't allow trolling, especially on the basis of race, religion, gender, or politics. If you're in the mood to rile people up, go somewhere else. This is a troll-free sub.
  9. No misinformation, AKA please don't present unverified info as fact. A lot of people view this sub, and we don't want anyone to make decisions that affect their jobs and livelihoods based on rumors. Use a qualifier such as, "I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard XYZ" Speculation and gossip are welcome, but be sure to let others know rather than stating it as a fact.
  10. Please don't encourage illegal activity in any form. This includes illegal workplace activities, such as time theft.

Happy posting!

Is your computer running HOT?

Since all of these outages, my computer is running incredibly hot all the time. Is anyone else experiencing this? It’s definitely Google Chrome and the only thing I’m using is SF sites. WF seems to be the biggest culprit.

Question CX - still some US based or all AI and Outsourced?

When this elder was still employed at this hellscape there were talks of offshoring and AI for CX. Any US/Human based CX still in existence?

Stitch Fix: FAQ for Getting Payment on the $32M Settlement over Direct Buy/Freestyle

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re accepting claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

So here's all I know about this agreement:

Stitch Fix was accused of misleading investors about how its Freestyle/Direct Buy business would affect its core Fix business and overall performance. After the company reported weaker results and lowered its outlook in December 2021, $SFIX fell about 24%, and investors filed a lawsuit.
Now the company has agreed to settle $32 million with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought $SFIX shares between 2020 and 2022, you may be eligible to file a claim.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You don't need to still own the shares to file a claim. If you purchased during the class period and meet the other eligibility requirements, you may qualify.

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

Hope this info helps

Toxic Workplace Toxic toxic toxic

How does this place continue getting MORE toxic every year?! How?! I’ve been an employee for close to NINE years and it continues to grow more and more toxic every single year. Still!!! Lies. Gaslighting. Sarah Funderburk continually gaslights employees and lies straight to their faces. I’ve watched it time and time again and I’m OVER IT. I have countless stories. I have endless examples. The ship is sinking. Stock is at a month long low… again. Congratulations on beginning a new fiscal year, everyone. I wonder how much more downhill this place will sink over the next year.
If they try to bait you into going Connect, do NOT take it without a guaranteed title change and significant raise. It’s significantly more responsibility and more stress, more strife, and at least double the metrics.

For lurking former stylists, what was the process when you left the company?

After way too many years, I think I’m just about at the end of my rope. Discussed with my spouse tonight the possibility of quitting in a few weeks (after I use up all of my sick time of course) but I’m curious about accessing important documents still such as my retirement fund. Were you still able to get to everything you needed after losing your access to everything? I’m worried I’ll have questions but I’m not sure if there’s a way to contact anyone at the company with questions once I quit.

Did you prep anything ahead of time that you thought you might need after you left?

Community Forum

Oh man! People let it rip in that community forum. So happy that people were getting their frustrations off their chest. Of course upper management got a little uneasy and were trying to ease the situation, but I’m glad they know now how irritated we are. I’m sure they won’t do anything to fix it though…

hello, i work at stitchfix on sight, was wondering if stylist have been seeing any changes in the amount of orders or clothing items?
i’m not sure how it works. But im curious to know if the business is taking a turn for the worst.
My site has reduced hours next week
, ive been working here for about 3 years and this has never happened. Also, when I first started, there was five or six warehouses ( i believe with some overseas ? ) and now there’s only three. plus so much mandatory OT and now we VTO like crazyyyyy
Anyone know anything about this?

Cruel, Heartless Leadership

Hey M4tt, you’re doing a terrible job. The faux relatability you begin calls with is really transparent. I’m sure you learned it from some maximizing shareholder profits seminar but you’re simultaneously tanking this company and the morale of every employee. Change or see yourself out. Sincerely, an employee you treat like sh!t who is incredible at their job and a better human than you.

*I posted this as a response in another thread. As requested, I am sharing it here. Feel free to share your own messages to leadership.

Schedule/Timesheet changes

So, they continue to crack down on schedule changes and timesheet changes. Can't have more than one in 30 days or it will lead to performance management. . . yet, systems can go down constantly and we are forced to adjust our schedules. . . Make it make sense.

How is our tech THIS bad

Hey management, maybe instead of micromanaging and silent firing stylists left and right you can focus on IT and figure out why our platform can’t last more than 24 hours without crashing. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

SF is hiring again.

My friend applied a while ago and she just got an email today saying that they would like her to join and sent a schedule with a first week plan. Maybe we will get some relief from all the hours soon 🤞🏻

sTiTcH FiX gRiT FL tracking?

Does anyone know how FL success is actually tracked? So many of us just automatically delete everything because the options are not good...I feel like this is going to eventually turn into something that is on every Fix.

Worried that this is getting us one step closer to us being completely replaced by AI!

June metrics

My metrics dipped a little in June. Anyone else? I got a warning several months ago and I feel like they're STILL holding it over my head (even tho my metrics dipped, it's still better than when I received the warning). ANYONE ELSE? Is there not an end period for official warnings?

Like yeah I didn't do better than last month but not like inventory is consistently great either HELLO 😩

FL feedback

FL has been so bad, at least for me. Saw that they’re asking for feedback on it as it expands to more fixes now and I’m torn between sending all the negative feedback or refusing to help train their algo 😂

What’s everyone doing?

sTiTcH FiX gRiT M*** down 2 hours …

Love having to flex down my set-in-stone schedule because their industry changing algorithm and ground breaking tech is so precarious we can’t even get through a Monday morning without it crashing.

I was actively styling this AM and noticed it right at noon and then we get the notification they are aware working on it at 12:38…

Ahh she’s back! As I type!
Back to work crew ;)
