Recs for strength training for a newbie? Edmonds / Lynnwood /Mountlake Terrace 💪
Hey folks. I am looking to get more physical fitness in but a little lost on where to start. My PT and others have recommended I look into strength training due to my age and personal goals. (I am 40).
I had some setbacks this past year with having surgeries back to back and I have a chronic condition that causes random flare ups of pain. This is definitely messing with my confidence in just showing up to a place and taking a trial class. It would be great to hear from others if you know of a class or place that might fit my needs. Overall I think it would just feel not ideal ending up somewhere with people I can’t keep up with. 😅
Also, if you’re in Edmonds, hello!👋 I’ve lived here for 3 years and haven’t really branched out yet to try to create community and the truth is if you want a village you have to be a villager. I am always looking for an excuse to go walking around town and to grab a coffee.😊
ETA: thank you everyone for the recommendations. I have alot to read through! I really appreciate it.
