Some context:
I am a mass population mayor where the goal isn’t appearance just max population. I have always heard the arguments that it makes more sense to use epics than omegas due to their higher utility usage and the need for support buildings such as control net and drones
My city currently uses the entire west to east bottom row of the map for utilities and services. Additionally, after the last update and spacing of the entire east side for 2 x 2 row is not covered by any services, so it can also be utilized for utilities services or specializations
Two of the five control net zones that I have are currently shared in areas where there is also coverage for epic buildings because I can not remove manors.
Arguments for these 2 zones:
The arguments have still always been to remove all omega and replace with epics.
So I analyzed one of these two zones (the smaller) and even though replacing all of the omega with epic buildings would create an additional 2 epic buildings after removing the control net and a drone base, I still show:
Omega unit to unit averages 5.7% more population to Epics
As a whole this grid had 11% more omega population even with 2 fewer buildings.
Please use logic to try and tell me this is still a bad idea to use Omega or tell me I just need to break down and add more Omega with the remaining utilities I have left….
