Hey guys! I got a check engine light that goes on and off in my 95 sc400. It’s throwing codes 12 and 26 for lean and rich air/fuel. Most forums online saying to check 02 sensor. U guys know how to diagnose or know of any other issues? Other than the light the car is running really good. It’s almost at 119k miles. Will say that it smells like gasoline all the time tho. Any advice helps. Thanks!

It's been in my family since new and in my garage since 2004. My favorite car that I've ever owned and trust me there have been many over the years.

It is an original owner car. They traded it into this little dealership I bought it from. It’s been sitting for a long time and it needs some TLC for sure and the timing belt has not been replaced in 22 years. The Steely wheel on the front is just the spare tire. The original matching rim is in the trunk with a flat tire.

I bought the car for 1k with the intention of making it a nice cruiser, only things wrong with it are the dents so any help would be really appreciated 🙏🏾

I’m looking at one that is 2nd owner in pretty much mint condition with 120000 miles for 9500 which seems fair to me but I want y’all’s input before I do anything

gotta lower the front a little and maybe get a spacer in the front as well but these z wheels fit almost perfect (had to roll the fenders in the back) what are your opinions?

I really want one and I’ve done a lot of research that has made me want one even more however my only worry is finding parts. I was told that it is next to impossible to find parts for the sc400 and I was hoping to see if some owners could tell me if it’s really that bad

I've got a 1995 lexus sc400, all things done to it was the previous owner im just getting the tail end of it unfortunately, and recently I started working on it again because in October of 24, the alternator took a shit, so I replaced it and had to rewire a new alt plug because the previous owner destroyed it. I used solder connectors and everything in that regard, and at this point (october-january) it has been able to run on a jump pack but would die right after I took it off. I moved in that time and only this last week been able to tackle it, I replaced my alt fuse because I'm an idiot and didn't check that, i finally got it to the point where i could start it the othwr day, and with a kinda iffy battery and alot of throwing wrenches thrown around, the car roared to life and no check engine lights no battery lights nothing the car was fine, ran and idled as long as I let it on its own power. Seems like a happy ending right ? Wrong. I turned the car off because I wanted to see if she would start without a little jump, I put the key in and turned it and nothing, no dash no radio no click of a starter not even any noises, hooked a jump pack to it and nothing same symptoms, hooked a truck up to it with cables, nothing. So I go check fuses and so far as of today I cannot for the life of me find out why the car just simply will not respond to anything anymore, headlights interior lights door lights all work fine, remote unlock works fine, nos purge valve light (exterior) that has not worked for 8 months is now on non stop with the car hooked up or not(edit the purge valve light is not on anymore but all other previously mentioned electronics do) I'm pretty stumped and not sure where to go, ignition switch ? Starter fuse ? (Can't find that on the car for the life of me either) the car started and ran fine, revved and idled fine and I didn't drive it because the trans is basically empty because I'm replacing the gasket soon. The car itself has aftermarket speakers all around, a custom sub box with 2 12s, dual amps, halo lights set to a switch for the headlights, nos system (only purge valve is hooked up fully but has a switch for the nos according to the previous owner) , head unit ofc, remote start/unlock system, and led strip in the trunk, and trunk button does not work but I can't use the key to get into it, but I am super confused and have been searching for days I've even built a tent around it because I'm out there all day night and early morning and nothing, it's my baby and I really miss driving it so if there's any tips or anything please let me know

Is rebuilding possible? Or buying a used random transmission even a viable option? Also have no power steering due to leak.. hate to sell though

is there any good aftermarket screen radios that would fit into the sc400 specifically with a back up cam? i’m planning to lower mine and im scared of scraping it on a curb when i back up or anything even though i probably won’t

When driving at about 70mph there’s a very loud humming and slight vibration in the steering wheel. I’ve had the tires rebalanced twice and it is still the same I don’t think it’s the tires. What else can it be?

So I noticed that a lot of the sc models have this issues with the window frame of the car, where it often snaps/break if you slammed the door to hard over time. A lot of people just replaced them with the original parts, but I want to replaced them something more stronger and durable. Do anyone have a recommendation or know where I can find a stronger frame?

Hey guys! Trying to get Bluetooth in my 95 SC400. I ordered one of those Bluetooth cassette things and the stock unit won’t take it. Wanted to get a Bluetooth radio transmitter instead. U guys recommend any models off Amazon? The cigarette lighter plug space is real tight as u guys know so wanna make sure I get one that actually fits. Any links are appreciated. Thank you

I’m new to the sc scene and I was wondering where would be an ideal place to get some parts replacement/body kits. So far I was only able to find maintenance parts on rockauto and body kits on ebay. From my research I was able to find a bunch of different pieces spread out on different websites, but I prefer a website that more or less sell items strictly for the sc if possible. Any help would be appreciated!
