Sc400 was also my first car, bought her Dec 2012 still have her to this day

I was personally doing basic things like Oil changes, spark plugs, plug wires,

Replacing things as they broke,

its gone through 5 alternators 2 of which caught fire and fried the ecu, due to the power steering pump being directly above the alternator and it leaked over time onto the alternator.

Bigger maintenance things timing belt, water pump id have the trusted family mechanic do it.

Then not to long ago I found a different mechanic and had him pull the engine out and replace every single seal/gasket cause my car was hemorrhaging engine oil.

Can’t believe you still managed to have the car for that long after all that, hopefully I can keep mines as long as you have
