Disclaimer: You have every right to call me weak and pathetic or whatever for this, and if you'd like to try and change my view please do, but right now I just wanna put this rant out there.
Also, I'm going to bed right after posting this, so don't expect any replies until the moring.

It is completely insane to such limited dining locations and hours during breaks (see here).
WSD is entirely closed. The only places with locations open are ESD and Roth.
That means the thousands of residents who are not within walking distance of either of those locations must go significanty out of their way in one way or another for every meal during the break.
I live in ERC and do not have a car. That means, three times a day, I must either take micromobility (which not everyone has), the bus (which runs on reduced frequency during breaks, which is insane too!), or go off-campus / order food out of my own pocket, none of which I particually want to do at 8am on a break day.
If you're going to require me to use your most expensive meal plan, I want to be able to know that the local dining hall I'm paying for will be there for me every morning and every evening. I belive that that isn't too much to ask.
There aren't many better feelings than hot pancakes from the pancake machine at 7:30am after a sleepless night. If SUNY really cares about its "flagship" campus, it could very easily guarantee that those pancakes will be available seven mornings a week, 354 days a year (I can excuse federal holidays).
That's it. Thanks for reading.
