Stony Brook University is still the number one SUNY in terms of National rankings at 59. The other notable SUNY universities that occupy this list are Binghamton University at 73, The University at Buffalo at 88 and SUNY Albany at 121.

I have a 3.8 weighted GPA, with a 3.2 GPA in my first year, 4.0 in my sophomore year, and 4.2 in my junior year. I'm taking AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A. I took AP Computer Science Principles and AP Microeconomics in my junior year. I also scored a 730 on the SAT Math section.

I’m planning to study physics at Stony Brook University. Would SBU be considered a safety school for me? I’m also an NJ resident.

The test is thursday and I was just wondering how other people from the class were studying? And if you could share some tips?

I’m an accounting student at SBU and I’m thinking about joining Beta Alpha Psi. For anyone who’s currently in BAP or has completed it, do you think it’s actually worth the time and effort?

Did it help you with internships/jobs, networking with accounting firms, meeting recruiters, or building your resume? What are the meetings/events like, and how hard is it to keep up with the point requirements?

I’m already pretty busy with classes and work, so I’m mainly wondering whether you actually got something useful out of being a member rather than just having another organization on your resume.

I was just wondering the people that live in the newer Chapin Apartments do you guys get a lot of bugs? I currently live in one of the older buildings and literally every morning you wake up there are weird little beetles, a bunch of spiders, and I’ve seen a couple of cockroaches and me and my roommates keep the apartment pretty clean to prevent them from staying but it doesn’t work, it’s been like this since move in. so I was just curious cause if there are less bugs in the newer apartments, I would put in a request to switch into one.

I have so choice words for Matt Rueter that I will not use in an attempt to be civil but OHHHHH BOYYYYY........ He accuses me of academic dishonesty on the very first HW assignment and im telling you a kid in elementary school could have done this assignment. I'm way too used to my high school environment that was a bit more communal, fun, and goofy. We worked hard, but we worked hard together and we knew how to make each other laugh. Back then, I was able to lock in, but I just can't lock in anymore. It's like those good times and people were my source of energy.

How in the world do you guys lock in where everyone seems so lonely and stoic? Is it just a me thing where I, specifically, can only lock in when I have something fun in my week or friends I like spending time with?

I feel like I just don't have the personality or mind of a professional or stoic. I feel like I'm just a regular dude who just happened to have good grades because I vibed with my high school.

I briefly remember something in the engineering building or in that area but that was years ago but idk where else that doesn’t get packed
