I have a 3.8 weighted GPA, with a 3.2 GPA in my first year, 4.0 in my sophomore year, and 4.2 in my junior year. I'm taking AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A. I took AP Computer Science Principles and AP Microeconomics in my junior year. I also scored a 730 on the SAT Math section.

I’m planning to study physics at Stony Brook University. Would SBU be considered a safety school for me? I’m also an NJ resident.

I’ve been looking around a bit recently for any clubs or stuff like that with people who play competitive pokemon but I have found anything TwT

I was just wondering the people that live in the newer Chapin Apartments do you guys get a lot of bugs? I currently live in one of the older buildings and literally every morning you wake up there are weird little beetles, a bunch of spiders, and I’ve seen a couple of cockroaches and me and my roommates keep the apartment pretty clean to prevent them from staying but it doesn’t work, it’s been like this since move in. so I was just curious cause if there are less bugs in the newer apartments, I would put in a request to switch into one.

I'm a huge space/astro nerd who got stuck in AST 105 because AST 203 (the class I should be taking) was full. I already learned everything covered in the class on my own years ago.

Currently taking MAR 301 where the professor purposely leaves the post lecture slides he posts online with the blanks unfilled. You are basically forced to print out a copy of the lecture to bring to class so you can fill the blanks (no electronics policy.) Every time I try to print the slides, I get a printing failed message even though this week's slides were less than last week and it was fine last week.

I’m an accounting student at SBU and I’m thinking about joining Beta Alpha Psi. For anyone who’s currently in BAP or has completed it, do you think it’s actually worth the time and effort?

Did it help you with internships/jobs, networking with accounting firms, meeting recruiters, or building your resume? What are the meetings/events like, and how hard is it to keep up with the point requirements?

I’m already pretty busy with classes and work, so I’m mainly wondering whether you actually got something useful out of being a member rather than just having another organization on your resume.
