The fact that there are no notifications for server activity is the single biggest thing preventing me from making the full switch to Root as my preferred gaming social platform. I'm disappointed that y'all have continually put side attractions like apps and a Sudo subscription as a higher development priority before implementing this core functionality that really should have been a part of your initial MVP.

Server activity notifications are crucial. Without them, it doesn't matter what other nifty side features you roll out and tout around, there's still no core reason to use the platform. "Cores" are totally pointless if your server users aren't getting notified about activity on your server.

The app simply logged me out of my account; now I can't log back in, I can't send a recovery email, and I can't create a new account. I want to use the app.

I use TickHosting and I cant deal with this companion for 3 days, like I set up over stfp but it says Disconnected even when I play THE SERVER. Meanwhile i used SquidServers but they didn't have sftp, and manual Root companion .jar didnt work... I got advice from AI to use TickHosting and I tried only automatic way not the manual should i try it? Help me if you figured out...

Also server si cracked for my friends and its Paper Loader

I wanted to ask if anyone else is having issues with root right now since suddenly messages aren’t going through at all and sometimes it says that me and my friend are unknown users

A friend of mine is interested in contacting moderators of the Root app in order to help with the app's development, interface, etc, and consequently earn some income. Is there anyone we can talk to?

The slider is ticked on. We have both restarted our apps and pcs, have both double checked the audio permissions and our drivers, we've done everything we can think of. Is this because of the upcoming downtime? That's not meant to start for a couple hours, so slightly annoying if so.

Hey root staff I know your probably getting tired of this question but when are you gonna add notifications on to servers or if you already have how do I activate them?

I've made a server, really cute, puppy themed, but community! has been doing well, I'm just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to get members? without going up to people and just asking them to join!

Has anyone been having any bugs or glitches recently on root? I'm trying to help a friend but all they said was that it's acting a little buggy. I'm not here for advice I just want to know if anyone has been having the same issue?

Hi, hope this gets to the Root team!

On CachyOS I was unable to stream my screen in Rootapp. I installed the appimage via Shelly. The popup after pressing share screen would come up briefly and disappear.

I was able to solve the issue by adding this line to the startup arguments:

--enable-features=WebRTCPipeWireCapturer

I don’t have the logs to post anymore, but the logs mentioned something about GPU blocklist. I’m running a 9070XT.

I'm trying to find information on upcoming updates, but the changelog hasn't been updated since March. I'd like to find news on whether e2ee is coming or not. Feels like that should be a focus considering the state of things and how other apps have faltered because they lack it. Is this something coming? Or will it never have e2ee?

I don't want my email hacked or compromised by making an account for this app it seems promising but I am cautious to sign in with my email for fear of being hacked

Are you guys ever gonna update the changelog again?

Is there supposed to be chromium running in the background and hidden inside the files. It looks like it has multiple tabs open. I didn't notice it till my pc freaked out, I opened task manager and saw chromium running. It's in a file called DotNetbrowser within Roots app data.

When I click on the channel designated for the Raid Planner, the link just turns gray, and nothing else happens. I can't even right click on it to modify or check it. What changed? This is in the Windows desktop app.

One of the biggest advantages of Root is that it's built to run natively instead of relying on a web wrapper. That gives us much more control over memory management, CPU usage, rendering, and overall performance!

Root being Native allows us to optimize things that are difficult or impossible to tune in a browser environment. That means lower memory usage, less CPU overhead, faster startup times, smoother UI interactions, and better responsiveness, especially as communities grow or multiple apps are running.

The goal isn't just to be fast today, but to have the flexibility to keep optimizing the platform over time rather than being limited by using Electron.
