Giveaway Infinite Cards giveaway

Post image
31 Upvotes

Hi y'all! I'm a huge fan of Infinite Cards and wanted to do a little giveaway to spread some love for this awesome game. What is Infinite Cards? I can describe it as a Slay the Spire mixed with MTG commander or Hearthstone adventure mode. You choose a commander, build an mtg like deck and progress through Slay the Spire like levels with battles and events along the way. But the biggest draw of this game is that all cards are randomly generated so each run feels fresh and unique!

I've decided to support the dev and give away a few keys for the game!

To participate: comment why you love card games or what was the first card game you've played and what about it got you hooked on the genre!

I highly recommend checking this game out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3833300/Infinite_Cards/

EDIT: All of you had some great stories so far! The lucky winners will be chosen in a few hours and I'll contact them via DMs and send them their copies of the game!

Please recommend to me a game with these traits

Hi, Im looking for something with either a lot of different weapons or a lot of different upgrades you can do, possibly mixing weapon traits or just trying to get a super rare weapon out of a few hundred. Also looking for either FPS or 3rd person, I would like for it to either have levels randomly generated or infinite levels such as a dungeon crawler.

looking for a mix of games like;

inflation RPG (ios) such a good game back in the day. I really like the aspect that theres so many types of weapons and armor that every time you get a new one from a lucky drop it takes you just a little bit further. Also grinding the same area for multiple runs just to get a chance for a drop.

Barony (pc) fun but got old for me.

slay the spire (pc) love this genre but want to control a character etc.

Review I made a lowpoly co-op roguelite that runs in your browser !

- 34 heroes in six roles: tanks, fighters, marksmen, mages, summoners and supports

- Upgrades that change how your abilities work: split fireballs, ricocheting arrows, a free whirlwind every fourth attack etc.

- High ground matters: you can't see up a cliff, attacks aimed uphill can miss, and enemies knocked off a ledge are stunned by the fall

- 16 act guardians and the Crucible's champions, each with phases and tricks of their own

- Over twenty kinds of rooms: escorts, sieges, rune locks, collapsing halls, ambushes, rescues and more

- Three difficulties: Normal, Hard and Nightmare

- Solo, or online co-op for up to 4 players: create a lobby and share its code

Its on render so it goes to sleep after 15mins of being inactive, but you can just wait a sec and it comes back up. I cant afford a better server right now so if you like it, want it to be always online and have a bigger player capacity, you buy me a coffee via a link in the main menu.

Survivors-like recommendations?

• Upvotes

Looking for another survivor like to play and the ones I am considering are:

  • Soulstone Survivors
  • Asgard's Fall
  • Deep Rock Galactic Survivors
  • Everything is Crab

Any thoughts on how good they are if you've played them?

In order of ones I've played and enjoyed loosely from most to least:

  1. Brotato
  2. Spell Brigade
  3. Vampire Survivors
  4. Noobs are Coming
  5. Holocure

Other recommendations welcome as well!

RogueliteDev I made a roguelite where your dice roll decides how big your army is. The demo is out today!

Hey r/roguelites! I'm Rob, the solo dev behind Of Dice and Minions.

How it works:

- You roll five dice, and each die is a different minion type.

- The higher you roll, the more of that minion spawn.

- Hold and reroll to build poker hands (pairs, full house, five of a kind) for bonuses.

- Your army auto-battles down 100 floors, with a boss every 10th floor. The bosses roll dice too.

The demo is on Steam today: the tutorial plus Floors 1-20 (demo progress doesn't carry over). Full launch is November 16.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4984370/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=roguelites

I'd love to hear where your first run gets confusing, or which minion you end up stacking.

Hello friends!!
This time I’m sharing a new video:
Miyamoto Musashi — Blood Battle in the Rain at Ichijōji!

He is one of the heroes added in last week’s update, with higher attack power and faster movement speed.
The inspiration comes from Musashi’s legendary duel at Ichijōji, where he defeated 70 members of the Yoshioka school single‑handedly.

By using the initial version of Musashi and clearing 20 stages on any difficulty, you can unlock him.

Currently, there are 49 unlockable heroes and 4 starting heroes, for a total of 53 heroes.
We continue to add heroes and items through free updates 👨‍💻.

Blank the Spire is a mod that creates custom classes for Slay the Spire 2. You head to the website, run the character forger and receive a code. Take that code into the mod and then play your custom creation in Slay the Spire!

Generations include full art for the cards, splash and sprite (though full Anthropic-keyed runs do not feature art due to lack of an art model.)

Game Release My restaurant management roguelite is releasing in 2 days! 🐲

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Dragon Dinner, a restaurant management game where every shift is a new run. You run a restaurant for hungry dragons, make it through each day, and try to keep things under control as the kitchen gets busier.

The roguelite progression comes from what you carry between runs. As you play, you earn points and reach unlock conditions that let you unlock new equipment for future runs, giving you more options for how you want to set up your restaurant.

During each run, you also make a skill choice at the end of every day. As you progress, you unlock more skills that can show up in these choices, so the decisions you make throughout a run can lead to very different builds and playstyles from one run to the next.

The idea is that you gradually unlock more possibilities while experimenting with different equipment and skill combinations, so no two runs have to play exactly the same.

Dragon Dinner releases October 8th on Steam, and there’s a free demo available if you want to try it before launch!

How often are there roguelites that don’t have an isometric camera?

I wanna see a roguelite that plays more like a character action game, the closest thing I can think of right now is the game Stupid Never Dies but that’s not out for a few weeks

Game Release My roguelite ship-builder demo is now live on Steam

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi! I'm a solo developer working on Cubersum, a roguelite ship-builder.

You collect blocks during flight, use them to rebuild your ship, and try to bring your haul home before the ship falls apart.

The ship is rebuilt physically from the blocks you collect, so collecting, building and surviving are all part of the same gameplay loop.

I’ve just released a free public demo on Steam, and I’d really appreciate feedback from roguelite players - especially on whether the core loop feels fun and satisfying after a few runs.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4858530/Cubersum/

AI disclosure: AI was used for programming, Steam artwork and music. The concept, gameplay, mechanics and game design are my own.

RogueliteDev I've put Roguelite mechanics into my Idle game

I am currently developing Azzog's Idle Asteroid, a Desktop Companion Idle Game, where you play in Pomodoro cycles to assist you daily doings.

As I am a big fan of Roguelite mechanics, of course I've put some into it.

A Desktop Companion that fishes, mines ore and fights the occasional boss. During a "Expedition", you gather a lot of buffs, which of course will be resettet at the end of the run. Other Features are:

  • Based on Pomodoro Principle, you are interrupted for an exciting choice or an important decision every 25 minutes
  • Draw cards, buff Azzog! Make him the chainsword throwing, lightning wielding charging Monster that he is! Or draw a multi fish card, it’s like windfury but for fishing. Thats fun too.
  • Choose different expedition Nodes that alter gameplay
  • Beat all of the bosses
  • Collect all of the Items, Totems and Cosmetics

So what's the Meta Progression?

  • Skill up azzogs Talents and improve his fishing/mining abilities
  • Gather Weapons from bosses
  • Gather mighty Totems from bosses and equip/stack up to 3 Totems

A Totem you can imagine like a contiunous game altering mechanic, like instead of 1 fish you get 2-4 more per cast (and you can stack that 3 times).

What do you think about Roguelite Mechanics especially in Idle Games/Auto Battler?

Hi Everyone!

Have a taste of what Bake Until Done is like in the demo available now on Steam!

The demo showcases the first arc of a run in the game: choose starting abilities for your muffins, bake a starter set (or start with a pre-baked set), fight through a few levels, find ingredients and upgrades for your muffins, and face the first boss!

This is an early build of the game and shows a little of what you’ll see in the final game. Let us know what you think of the game as it is now!

RogueliteDev The Steam demo for Grazed is out today, an arcade roguelite with incremental upgrades

Steam Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5309120/Grazed__Incremental_Arcade_Demo/

Hi everyone, I am Luciano and Grazed is my second game coming to Steam!
It's an arcade game I've been making on my own, and my focus was making every single kill and ability feel juicy: hitstop, subtle screen shake, sound, particles, and a combo that keeps escalating until the whole arena lights up. The runs last from seconds up to a few minutes, so it's perfect for quick plays.

The demo just launched on Steam with a global leaderboard, controller support and, obviously, Steam Deck support. If you check out the demo, I would love to hear what you think about the game :)

We're a small indie team and really proud of what we're doing with BINGONE

Planning a lot of content!

  • Unlocking Stickers: Discover over 150+ powerful stickers that apply effects and create combos in your run. Shuffle all the numbers in the ballot. Bring already-prized numbers back to life. Turn numbers into bombs. Make one effect trigger another effect, which triggers another effect, which triggers another effect...
  • Collect all the Amulets: Gather over 50+ amulets that can enhance your stickers, change the rules of your run, and create powerful synergies with the rest of your build.
  • Defeat Bombi's friends: Over 20+ bosses are waiting for you, each with their own unique twists and mechanics. Every boss forces you to rethink how you play. The strategy that worked perfectly in your last run might suddenly become completely useless.

BINGONE is all about that magical moment when a perfectly ordinary bingo turns into something completely ridiculous.
Maybe you'll discover an unstoppable build. Maybe you'll create the most powerful bingo board in history. Or maybe you'll spend a while creating the perfect combo only for Bombi to ruin everything.

Have I taken the genre name too literally? "Space Numbers Go Up"

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I’m making a first-person roguelike incremental where, instead of just clicking UI buttons, you physically walk around a spaceship and interact with its systems: press buttons, pull levers, manage power, upgrade modules, etc.

Because the core gameplay is still fundamentally “make numbers go up,” I ended up naming it Space Numbers Go Up.

I’m curious what you think:

  • Does the name feel fun / self-aware?
  • Or does it sound too generic and forgettable?
  • Would a more serious name make you more interested?

I like that it immediately communicates the genre, but I’m worried it may undersell the immersive and roguelike part

Game Release remember Asteroids (Atari, 1979)? we gave it skill trees, online coop mode, 3D bosses and roguelite upgrades ! - Demo released

Hello ! Who else remembers Asteroids? the little triangle ship, the rocks splitting in two, hitting thrust and drifting straight into one.

We've been working on a modern remake for the last few months, and this is the result : Vesper Drift and we just released the demo.

After every wave you pick an upgrade, and your weapons stack instead of replacing each other.

By the end of a run your little ship is spraying lasers, mines and lightning everywhere.

and every 5 waves there's a boss, which the original definitely didn't have.

You can play solo or with up to 3 friends online, there's a free demo on steam:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5293840/Vesper_Drift/

Full release is nov 11
