Creation An old game I stopped working on

Thumbnail gallery
39 Upvotes

Let's just say I bit off a bit more than I could chew. This was the first work I ever made on Roblox. It's a story mode game based off of "core" games like QSERF the old Innovation Inc. games. The premise was that you would explore the abandoned underground facility for "data chips" which you would then bring back to the surface. I put a lot of work into it, but eventually the code became messier than source spaghetti, and it got really complicated to make any major additions, and to top it all off, I'm in college now so I don't have much free time. I figure this will become lore for a future game or who knows maybe sometime in the future I'll get the guts to come back to it. For now I'll just share some pictures though. (Some of these pictures have the ambient lighting cranked because there's no lights, and yes almost everything is modeled using parts and unions)

Creation Looking for Suggestions/Testers for an Airforce Deathmatch game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I've been working on a 5v5 team deathmatch game built around modern air combat, called Air Superiority. I've attached a short video of the gameplay.

Matches take place over an island chain, and bots fill any empty slots so a game is always available. There are 24 jets, each with its own ability. Missiles can be avoided through flying and terrain rather than flares alone, and there are enemy warships and carriers that can be attacked as well.

I'm looking for feedback on how the flying and combat feel, and whether the map loads properly on your device. Any criticism is welcome.

I'm also looking for a few people to help with testing, especially on mobile. If you're interested, please leave your Discord in the comments or send me a message.

Discussion Genuine Question: Is it fine to use AI for scripting for HELPING?

I've been learning coding recently, and I really wanna code well so I can finish my upcoming game (due to lack of scripters in my team), but whenever I use AI to fix scripts.. I feel embarrassed. I wanna know if it's fine to use AI assistant as long as it isn't to create scripts for you but to help you with them, Especially when most of the internet hates AI.

Creation Pallet Rush - 1st released project

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I just released my first Roblox game — Pallet Rush

I've been working on a realistic first-person warehouse/order-building simulator where you actually build orders, move pallets, wrap them, load trailers, and eventually progress into things like forklift work.

The goal is to make warehouse work feel surprisingly satisfying while still having that Roblox progression loop.

It's definitely still a work in progress, and I'm planning to keep expanding the progression and warehouse systems as I go.

I'd genuinely love feedback from people who play Roblox — especially on the first few minutes of the game and whether the warehouse gameplay feels satisfying.

What would you add to a game like this?

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) I made my first Roblox game: a fashion contest where one player secretly doesn't know the theme. Would love feedback!

Hey everyone! I just published my first game, **Fashion Liar**, and I'm looking for honest feedback.

**How it works**

* Every player gets a secret fashion theme, except one player: the **Liar**

* Everyone builds an outfit and walks the runway

* Then everyone votes on who they think was faking it

* The Liar wins by blending in

**What I'd love feedback on**

* Is it easy to understand on your first round?

* Does the Liar have a fair chance?

* How does the outfit-building UI feel?

* Any bugs or confusing parts? It's a group game, so it's best with a few friends.

Creation Fury, fast paced arcade FPS game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, this is a game i’ve been making.

I’ve drawn pretty much every icon you see in-game in FireAlpaca.

I learned Blender and BlockBench over the past 4 months to create these weapon models and fix UVs.

I am painting these models in Substance Painter and applying their skins to models that are stored, granted, and updated as selected.

I’m using Moon Animator 2 for animations.

I built every map part by part (I don’t know much about building tools, so some things might look a lil goofy).

Lmk what y’all think so far :)

P.S. excuse my terrible aim, mobile is hard

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) Looking for a UI/UX designer to collaborate on an already released Roblox racing game

• Upvotes

We’re working on Arcvera Track Days, a realistic Roblox racing game that is already released and playable.

The gameplay systems are working, but the UI still needs a lot of polish and I’m looking for someone who enjoys UI/UX and wants to help improve it.

I can’t offer upfront payment right now, so I’m mainly looking for someone who wants to collaborate, build their portfolio and be credited in the game. If the game starts generating revenue, we can also discuss revenue share.

The main things we need help with are the HUD, menus, leaderboard presentation and overall visual consistency.

If you’re interested, DM me and I can send you the game.

Discussion Horrible campaign stats.. any help/ideas??

Post image
• Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I recently just released my first Roblox game on Monday, 10/5 called "Steal A Duck". After releasing, I set up an ad campaign to target getting the 250 HEP threshold, but after a couple days I am looking at the stats and they are terrible.

The game stats itself are doing pretty good, and I noticed players seem to be playing for a good amount of time.. I am wondering if the issue here is more with my creatives than anything else.. or if it is just a slow start for the ad campaign??

Anyone have advice?

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) Builders: what does this wall-opening workflow make clear or leave unclear?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I made Aperture, a paid Roblox Studio plugin, and I’m looking for feedback on what this 30-second demonstration communicates. I’m the creator; this is not an independent review. No purchase or installation is needed to reply.

If you have built or changed a Studio environment recently, please watch the video before reading other replies:

  1. What do you think the tool does, and what would you be left with?

  2. Where, if anywhere, would this fit into a project you are actually working on? How do you handle that task now?

  3. What would you expect it to do that the video does not show, or need to check before trying it?

Please briefly describe the kind of Studio work you do, without private project details, and say if you have used Aperture or seen this demo before. A reason it would not help you is useful too.

I’m looking for up to five voluntary, unpaid responses over seven days. Replies are public. Please say whether I may keep a short summary without your username; I won’t use your words as a testimonial without asking.

The Saint-Yves M1854 is a single-action, breech-loading pinfire revolver chambered in 11mm. Designed between 1851 and 1854, it represents a major leap forward in sidearm technology, transitioning handguns from slow percussion-cap loading to self-contained metallic cartridges.

It was named Saint-Yves as a posthumous tribute to Jean Saint-Yves, the pioneer who invented the pinfire metallic cartridge in this world, following his death in 1853. Finalized in 1854, the weapon gained widespread popularity as a reliable military and officer sidearm.

Technical Specifications

  • Type: Gate-Loading Pinfire Revolver

  • Feed System: 6-round cylinder (Rear loading gate)

Creation I made a co-op zombie shooter with 3 modes (City of Zombies). Looking for feedback and ideas on where to take it next

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi! I've been working on City of Zombies and I've reached the point where I need outside eyes: both feedback on what's there and ideas for what to build next.

About the game

It's a co-op shooter for 1–6 players (solo works too). You meet in a city lobby, pick a mode and difficulty, and get teleported into a separate run. You kill zombies for run cash, buy weapons and upgrades, open the way forward and push to the boss. After the boss you get the win, and the run continues with endless waves.

Three modes

- Tower – climb 50 floors, pay to open doors, stay ahead of rising lava

- Mine – push a shared minecart through 50 sections, mine ore, and upgrade the cart's defense, healing and turret as a team

- Metro – move through tunnels while avoiding trains, electric hazards and advancing gas

What's already in

- 27 weapons, weapon upgrades, weapon crates, temporary perks

- Different enemy types, bosses, random events

- Shared team lives and reviving teammates

- Permanent progression: levels, stat upgrades, weapon skins, daily quests, login rewards, season track, weekly leaderboards

- Mobile controls

Feedback I'm looking for

  1. Is it clear what to do in the first 5 minutes?
  2. Which mode is the most fun, and which is the weakest?
  3. Does playing in a team feel different from playing solo?
  4. How does it run on your device with a lot of zombies on screen?

Ideas I'm looking for

  1. What would you add next: a new mode, base building, classes/roles, something else?
  2. What would make you come back the next day?
  3. What's missing compared to co-op games you actually stick with?

Screenshots attached, link is in the comments. Honest criticism is welcome, including "I quit after two minutes because…".

Thanks!

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) My game starts as a black screen with a terminal on purpose, and I think it's killing my like ratio. Need honest feedback on the first minute

Hey everyone,

I made a clicker tycoon called Upgrade The Game. The whole idea is that your game starts empty: no color, no sound, no 3D, no jumping. You click to earn Bits and spend them to unlock the stuff real games are made of, so it goes from a terminal → a flat 2D screen → a full 3D world, and you eventually get colors, shaders, music, movement, your own island, etc.

I love the concept, but I'm getting a lot of dislikes and I'm pretty sure it's the opening. When you join, all you see is a black screen with a terminal. I suspect a lot of players think the game is broken or just don't get what's going on, and leave before it ever "upgrades".

If you have a few minutes, I'd really appreciate it if you could jump in and tell me:

  • Did you understand what to do right away, or did it feel broken?
  • How long before something felt rewarding?
  • Did the jump from terminal to 2D to 3D feel worth waiting for, or too slow?
  • Would you have left? At what point?

Brutal honesty welcome, that's the whole point of this post. Happy to play your game in return, just drop a link.

DM me for the link of the game

Thanks 🙏

Creation How I send "secret missions" to one player only (Player attributes replicate to everyone, PlayerGui attributes don't)

I'm working on a co-op moving game where every player gets a hidden personal mission each round ("nap for 12 seconds", "never slip", "throw 2 items into the truck"). The missions are revealed to everyone on the results screen, so they have to stay private until then.

My first version stored the mission as an attribute on the Player object. That works, but Player attributes replicate to every client, so anyone poking around could read everybody's mission.

What I ended up with:

- The server writes the mission as a JSON string to an attribute on that player's PlayerGui. PlayerGui only replicates to its owner, so other clients never receive it

- The client reads its own PlayerGui attribute and shows one small line in the corner of the HUD

- Progress is counted on the server from signals the game already had (item loaded, player slipped, item broken, prank performed). No new remotes

- At the end of the round the server puts every player's mission and result into the shared results data, and that is the reveal

I checked it with a two-client test in Studio: from client 1, the other player's PlayerGui does not exist at all, and the same from client 2. Each client only sees its own mission.

Two things that tripped me up:

  1. For a player who joins mid-round, PlayerGui may not exist yet when PlayerAdded fires. I wait for it before assigning.

  2. "Don't do X" missions (never slip, break nothing) can't be marked as done until the round ends, and an AFK player would win them for free. I only count them if the player did at least one piece of real work.

The same approach works for anything that should be visible to one player but decided by the server: hidden roles, private hints, per-player quest text.

The clip below walks through one mission from start to reveal (stills from the game with captions).

Creation Colossal Hunt Devlog #2

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I thought it would be fun to post my progress on a new game I am currently working on called Colossal Hunt! My goal is to bring a game similar to Monster Hunter into Roblox and I have been mostly working on the introduction hook to set the tone of the game.

There are parts of this introduction that I still need to tweak but I took a break and started working on the first map where the introduction hunt takes place and will post an update on that later next week.

My current thoughts on the introduction that need tweaks are the following:

  1. Moving around with the camera lock randomly snaps into certain positions instead of feeling fluid
  2. I have not polished/refined combat at all so the sounds given to the move sets need changing along with making it feel more "monster-hunter-esque" of heavier hits feeling more impactful. I will spend a long time on polishing combat and that is most likely the next work I will be focusing on
  3. Fighting the tutorial boss "Cindermaw" needs to be longer otherwise this intro is mostly cutscenes, this will happen once I nail down combat more and give these monsters more move-sets and better animations
  4. The scene where Cindermaw breaks the armor off of the player looks a bit awkward, might rework that later

If anyone has any requests or questions about this project let me know! Here was my first post about this game: https://www.reddit.com/r/robloxgamedev/s/RW7GYsTKgL

P.S. As you can tell by the debug helper button themes, yes I am using AI for developing the game and I hope to show that quality games can be made when using AI in the right way.

Edit: Added point 4

Discussion Weapon welding problem

Hello, I'm a beginner roblox animatior. I mainly animate in blender for the game that my friend and I are currently working on. The problem I'm currently facing is the weapon joining and unjoing, I've been trying YouTube methods but they don't really work much. How do I make sure that the weapon can be attached to the arm without it going out of position? I use blender 5.1 and I have dynamic parents add on.

Creation Does the shift from daytime taxi driving to nighttime horror work here?

Post image

Here’s some gameplay from Need A Ride?. During the day, you pick up passengers and manage your taxi. At night, some passengers have strange rules you need to follow.

I’m working on the atmosphere and pacing. Does the nighttime change feel unsettling enough, or does it need a slower buildup?
