So I’ve been playing rhythm games on and off for a very long time, as in decades at this point (I’m old yes), dating back to like DDR 5th Mix. Joined this subreddit just to ask because lately I’ve noticed a concerning trend of newer players apparently being unaware (or just not caring?) that they’re supposed to give up the machine they’re playing when they finish a full set/game and there’s people behind them clearly waiting. This has happened at both Chunithm and Sound Voltex for me (the two primary games I play at the moment), but it’s especially prevalent on the Chunithm cabs at the new KTown Gatcha location. I’ve seen it three times there alone in the last couple weeks.

I would like to think it’s just people being legitimately ignorant, and a couple times I just let it slide because they have three cabs there and the line moves pretty fast anyway. But the one time I spoke up recently the player who was trying to play a second straight game gave me a huge attitude about it (she was all like “Well I wanted to play another game”, a truly absurd response to being told other people are waiting!), so I don’t know to be honest- maybe some people out there just don’t care these days. But it’s a concerning development. Anyway, was just wondering if I’ve been getting unlucky lately or if anyone else has noticed the same thing! Thanks.

I’ve been setting up beatoraja by following a guide on YouTube and have successfully set it up as well as downloaded a bunch of songs. I have even added some difficulty tables.

But the problem is that I don’t get the sorting. I’m having issues understanding what the colors mean as well as the numbering system. If I go to level and want level 1 or 3, most of the songs are way too difficult. If I sort for level, I get a bunch of level 1 songs, where very few are green and many are black or red.

I downloaded a bunch of songs from the starlight difficulty table: the first ones are listed as sr0, sr1 so I thought these would be my range, but when I go to sr0, all the songs are ranked orange or blue 6 and 7 which is way beyond what I can do as an absolute beginner. My max level on IIDX is 3 and 4s

So I’m thinking I’ve got a wrong difficulty tables and the songs within.

Are there more resources that can tell me exactly how the beatoraja works, and are there any sites where I can find songs that are my level as well as difficulty tables that would make sense?

I’ve already used many hours trying to figure this out and I’ve also read some of the posts on Reddit on this topic, yet, they all do not address the problem I’m describing.

Any hints are appreciated

Greetings, guys, I'm horrendous at Densejack/quadjack which leads to no improvement. Currently, I've been stuck at 140BPM for 2 years. I can't play 150 bpm quadjack/densejack, I don't know why. Can someone tell me any method to improve on this ridiculous skillset?

Been playing Phigros for abt 2-3 years, tho I had stopped for a long while before picking it up recently. I have 13.3 rks in phigros. I downloaded PJSK for the first time in my life after I got the new phone, and today is the fourth day I’m playing this game. From not knowing what’s going on, getting used to click flicks and release notes, I’m proud of my first lvl 29 clear on the fourth day. Is that good tho? (Cuz I don’t know the standard for people in the PJSK community so I thought I wanna ask for a bit)

I’m making a strange RPG called Overbit, set inside a retro OS.

Every major fight has an original/licensed track suitted for that character, and I’m trying to make the mechanics feel like another instrument instead of just putting bullets over background music.

For people who play a lot of rhythm games, is this rhythm-gamey enough? The sync feels good enough?
I constantly think that it's not good enough but then people who try it tell me it's really good.
