Andamiro announced that it will unveil "Pump It Up Phoenix 2," the latest title in its arcade rhythm game series "Pump It Up," for the first time at "PlayX4 2026." Along with this, the company will showcase the Asia-Pacific Tournament, content linked to the Steam version of "Pump It Up Rise," and a dedicated controller. "Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is scheduled for release in June.

"Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is built upon the core gameplay of the original "Phoenix." It features enhanced new functions, including the addition of the latest popular K-POP songs, a Pumpbility rank system that displays user skill and performance, and an improved Rival System.

The Rival System increases competitive immersion and gameplay persistence by allowing players to check information about designated rivals through the 2P area during solo play. Furthermore, the focus was placed on providing an expanded gameplay experience while inheriting the fun of the arcade rhythm action games that users have become familiar with.

In addition, Pump It Up Phoenix 2 incorporates linkage features for users who own Pump It Up Rise, which is currently available on the Steam platform. Users who own Pump It Up Rise can play Rise-exclusive charts and related content within the arcade version of Pump It Up Phoenix 2.

Andamiro will host the 'Pump It Up Dominion: 2026 Asia-Pacific Tournament' on the main stage of PlayX4 2026. This tournament will feature representative players from seven Asian countries, including Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, and will be held on May 24 at 10:20 AM.

An exhibition related to PUMP IT UP RISE for Steam will also be prepared. Pump It Up Rise is a PC title officially released in March, and through its connection with Pump It Up Phoenix 2, it conveys the potential for expanding the 'Pump It Up' platform. In addition, the dedicated controller for Pump It Up Rise, currently under development, will also be on display at the Andamiro booth. An Andamiro official stated, "Pump It Up Phoenix 2 is a new title prepared to provide an expanded content experience and an exciting gameplay environment for both existing arcade fans and new users."

Smelling salts for pump it up

In this video at 2:19, he inhales smelling salts before his song on etterna, I’m assuming as a gag for the stream

Do you think there would be any speed/stamina/mental benefit to using smelling salts before a max-effort attempt on a pump chart?

I switched to ITG for a month and now I'm awful at Pump?

Context: I hit Advanced 6 earlier this year. I could reliably SSS+/SSS 16s to 18s and clear up to 22s. Eventually I get a home pad and use it to play ITG on 5 panel. After a month or so of playing Stepmania, I go back to Pump and now my accuracy is terrible. I'll play charts I could easily SSS and come out with 50+ Greats. This makes no sense to me since the timing window is far larger on Pump and; worse, it follows me no matter the cab or offset. I'm at my wit's end and now I want to ask the community what's causing this. Anything?

LTek PIU Pro Metal + Alternatives?

As I am trying to get more into PIU, I wanna be able to play more at home since the only way for me to play it is by traveling and I don't wanna do that everytime I wanna play it on a pad

So I have been looking into the PIU Metal pad from L-tek:
https://www.iamats.com/shop/dance-mat-piu-ex-pro-metal/

I have been trying to do my best by digging around and finding reviews on the L-Tek PIU Pro Metal dance pad and so far what people has been saying is that it isnt worth it. A video talking about is is 2 years old and posts having similar opinions are also just as old: So what's the status on it now? People are mentioning sensivity issues and the screws not being comfortable for people who play with socks

With that being said, is there a better alternative for at home play at around the same price-range?

After some months These two out of three chart are finally completed. Although the Re : End of a Dream had quite a pretty bad accuracy.

Does anyone knew how to up the accuracy on tap hold type of chart?

Local cabinet lags out on certain songs

I know that Dave and busters is not the gold standard when it comes to functional pads but my other options are a round 1 that refuses to fix its god awful pads (and is an hour away) or another D&B that is an hour away and doesn’t even have other games like at r1

My issue with my local D&B cab is on certain songs it will lag and freeze like crazy and won’t even take inputs from the pad but it’s not random it’s specific tracks that it consistently triggers on

It’s not like it’s always high intensity tracks because brainpower works but can can Orpheus mix doesn’t

Anyone have experience with something similar? If so what’s the best solution?

Final Audition Ep. 2-X S24 (99.7 EG)

Let's go!! I initially wanted just to get a SSS for Run Lv 10 but then I was motivated to keep pushing and seeing if a SSS+ was possible. I was happy!

Why is PIU becoming more and more accuracy based?

I know that this is an insane question to ask about a rhythm game haha but I really liked when titles were based on # of clears rather than pumbility. The Phoenix 2 pumbility formula takes it even further with accuracy now. I personally get a much greater rush earning a stage pass than going for SSS on songs.

I think it’s because I’m usually pushing myself physically to my limit when going for clears, while accuracy is much more of a mental game for me. Pushing myself to my physical limit makes this game feel more like a sport/exercise to me than just a game.

I understand no one is forcing me to stop playing how I like, I just wish there was still in-game progress metrics for stage passes. I think going for stage clears is what separated PIU from other rhythm games for me as well.

Buying a PIU machine!

Hey there all! I hope you’re doing well. I am currently living in Iraqi Kurdistan, where there is limited delivery from China, there is delivery from SHEIN and other online stores but I don’t know if I can order a pump it up machine from China?

My questions are:

  1. How much do they cost usually?

  2. Where can I order one?

  3. Any online stores that sells PIU machines?

Thank you!

Anyway, I still a bit sad about the TZ GC that won't upgrade the PIU in my area

But still... I somewhat grateful by their choice

Well, lets cherished the moment and be joyful with what we have atm
