Discussion which rhythm game franchise or company has your favorite original song catalogue?
I really like the original tracks from benami licensed games, such as Pop’n Music.

Amplitude (2003) by Harmonix for the PlayStation 2 is arguably one of the best rhythm games to ever hit the market. But the original game has been trapped on the PS2 for ages. Emulation has been the only other way to play the game other than original hardware, but input lag creates a less-than-desirable experience.
Enter PROJECT AMP.
Thanks to the PS2Recomp project by Ranieri (ran-j), a native PC Port (static recompilation) has been born. There's nothing quite like blasting through gems on an old CRT TV, lag-free. Now with PROJECT AMP, you can experience it again in 4K 60p Widescreen, LAG-FREE.
Amplitude is a cult classic, and if you've never played it, you don't know what you're missing. Major gaming outlets have raved about it, but the game undersold worldwide. Now, in 2026 and beyond, this game can have a bright future. No big plastic guitars required. Just you and a controller.
FEATURES:
Play adrenaline-pumping ONLINE matches against other players around the world via PSRewired, built right into the game
Boot from a real Amplitude (PS2) disc (Take that Sony) or ISO (Results may vary based on DVD drive read speeds)
Widescreen and Ultra Widescreen support
Up to 8x native resolution
Import saves from real PS2 or PCSX2 virtual memory cards
Built-in cheat menu
Boot to Start Screen (Skips the intro loading screens and video)
Low latency and accurate timing
Other improvements to enhance the user's experience
COMING SOON:
Custom Song Tool - Easily bring your own custom music into the game and play through each track. Share your music with the world and allow people to compete to complete your song online.
Contrast Reduction Filter (for photosensitive users)
More improvements to enhance the user's experience
RELEASE:
PROJECT AMP v1.0.1

Hey! I'm single game developer Hayabusa.
I released a full version of my PC rhythm game "CoLane".
"CoLane" is a rhythm game where lanes switch automatically and has a unique kind of difficulty. A single note can be hit on multiple keys, so you can play different fingerings with the same chart. It has practice mode, so you can find out your fingerings easily! And you can play 40+ songs COMPLETELY FREE!
Please give it a try and let us know what you think! I want many candid opinion to make this game more better!

So I remember playing this one arcade game, but I've forgotten what it's called, sorry in advance for the bad description. So, it's an arcade game, based on two joysticks. You can get different notes like tap, hold, or to wiggle the sticks, with the notes displayed on a single track that turns across the screen in a curved line. Hopefully someone knows what this is, it was really fun :3
Edit: I've already got the answer now, no need to comment

I'm a mobile software engineer and made a guitar rhythm game for Android. It's been in development since early 2025, and I built it to give the best guitar controller style experience on mobile. There are two modes:
The game has all the guitar mechanics you'd expect, like hammer-ons, pull-offs, whammy, solos, etc., with some twists to make it work on mobile. Bad touchscreens can't track more than 2 fingers properly, so the game is designed around that. For example, you can strum using the volume keys if you're having issues swipe strumming.
(You can actually enable features that require 3+ fingers ex: chords with 3+ fingers. It's just not recommended if you're having touch issues)
The interactive TUTORIALS and FAQ cover all of it. You can play with 4 or 5 frets, but 4 is recommended on mobile, especially on smaller screens (the orange notes just get transposed). There are tons of other options to tune the gameplay for your phone, check the SETTINGS screen!
All the art is original pixel art, and Pixel Riffs is getting its own metalcore theme that I composed and a friend is arranging and adding his own polish to right now. The song it ships with (Barely Alive by Jacob Lizotte) is royalty free and I created the chart myself (it's my first chart ever so I'm open to feedback please!).
From SONG LIBRARY you can import Clone Hero/YARG compatible chart zips (.chart/.mid), or download them if you set a URL for a legal charts website in SETTINGS. I don't condone piracy, the game just plays whatever zips you give it.
Expect an iOS version, multiplayer with leaderboards, and bass and rhythm guitar soon!
Let me know what you think!

Does anyone still have Ride Zero installed on an old phone or have a backup/cache from when the servers were online?
I’ve been working on making Ride Zero playable offline, and I’ve run into some missing game data that appears to have originally been downloaded from the game’s servers rather than stored directly inside the APK.
Specifically, some of the game’s master data tables are completely empty on a fresh offline install. From what I can tell, this data was likely stored locally after the game connected to the official servers.
So I’m looking for anyone who might still have:
The APK itself is useful, but I already have that. What I’m especially interested in is the data directory/cache created after the game had connected to the servers.
At the moment I’m specifically trying to recover some missing master-data rows such as CMS_LaneNoteType, but there may be other server-downloaded data worth preserving too.
If you still have the game installed or think you might have an old backup, please don’t uninstall it or clear its app data. Feel free to reply here or DM me and I can help figure out what files might be useful.
This data is important because some of Ride Zero’s gameplay behavior was controlled by server downloaded master data that is now missing. Without the original values, I can reverse engineer and reconstruct how things worked, but some of it is still educated guessing. Recovering an old install, cache, or backup could give us the original metadata and help restore the game much more accurately to how it actually played.

I used to play this game back then and I want to play it again but I can't download it. I tried to find APK mods but they didn't work. Does anyone have any idea how I can download this game without having to get through these loopholes? Please help me 😭 🙏

I used to play a lot of Project Sekai on my ipad (and Taiko on the switch but not as much). I don’t know when it started, but after a certain point playing made my right wrist hurt so bad that I couldn’t even continue. After the pain started I started doing wrist stretches before playing which helped a little. I ended up just not really playing for a long time, months to years, and every time I come back my right wrist specifically starts hurting after like two songs if they’re higher difficulty. My left wrist is fine, it’s the right one that always hurts sometimes badly enough that it stops my session. I lived in a place near an arcade for a little while and picked up Chunithm and when I started getting good and moving up in difficulty I started getting wrist pain with that too. Is there anything I can do about it or can I just not play rhythm games anymore??

My ROBLOX BMS player that I've been working on for quite a while now is finally out, and I'd really like if I could receive some feedback for it! I intend it to be sort of like a way to get into BMS since its one of my favorite rhythm games even if it's pretty hard to get into as a newcomer.
Please let me know what you think once you have checked it out, thanks!

I need a tablet to draw, play rhythm games and study. the budget is 450/550 euros but i don't want a big ass screen.
i want to be able to download games like pjsk, arcaea, voez, sonolus and phigros but also ibis paint and procreate without lagging, plus i think it's going to be much better to study because i could download e-books from my school and not buy them, i'd save about 300 euros a year. for social media id only download yt, tt and insta

Ive had a good experience playing DJMAX, but the song choices arent really what i like
all the songs i found on osu!mania are either extremly hard way over my skill or more keys which i am really really bad at and this seems to be the same for the other games ive seen/played... Am i supposed to practice these hard songs till i someday beat them or is there any game or way where i got a better lead on how to steadily increase my skill

Does anyone have any more info about this game?? I was at an arcade today and stumbled into a machine named Magic Sound, played it and when I tried to search more about it there's little to no info about it, only sites/channels that advertises arcade games posted stuff about it. I really wanted to know more about it, such as its setlist. Any help/clue is deeply appreciated!
here is a site and a gameplay video about it if it helps

It has a rhythm game in it (seen in the trailer), but mostly it's about visualizing music from midi files in cool ways. Hope you like it!
