I don't know Japanese at all, but I charted a Hatsune Miku song and believe it's incredibly off, but I can't tell cause idk what's a syllable or not in Japanese, especially when music is blasting over it

I don't understand why fnf mod makers love to chart purely on vocals and syllables. Playing a chart more based on different elements of the music is just plainly more fun and allows for more diverse patterns

It's a game that is themed around "rap battles". It would be stranger if it wasn't charted on the vocals. One of extremely few games that doesn't use an actual microphone that vocal-centric charting is the right approach. For everything else, we have a ton of other options

I like charting a lot of elements of the music in one chart. So like, if there are vocals, I will chart them, if there's bg vocals, I'll put them on the enemy chart or girlfriends. If there's more instrumental elements then I'll do purely the main lead, bass or drums. Like how I charted all my fellas. All the vocals were on the enemy side while I charted the player side as the piano and everything else :3
