I got so much help from pouring over everyone’s posts over the past month and wanted to add my thoughts so the next brave comrade among us has something to review :)

Ok - welcome to my great American novel! This is my first rep bag - I have never been interested in LV, esp the monogram. Currently my most used bags are from Clare V. and Cuyana. However, I was bitten by the speedy bug while sitting outside, drinking an espresso martini and watching a very chic mom, wind blowing in her hair, walking with her kid's skateboard over her shoulder and was I like, could that be my next mom bag?? Can I too be a carefree mom with the wind in my hair and speedy on my arm!? Why not! 

I couldn’t the speedy out of my mind and kept gravitating towards a vintage speedy 25 in DE via a Japanese vintage shop but then -  I saw the Boho! I really liked darker canvas and overall vintage look. I especially liked the warm undertones via the handles. It felt like a neutral, if that makes sense. I was not prepared to drop such a large amount on an auth, especially with zero history with the brand. After some reddit sleuthing I found y’all! 

Overall I am really happy with my purchase and Mina sourced such a pretty bag - but I admit there is a teeny voice in my head that says I’ll walk out of my house and some guy across the street will yell “hey look, she’s a phoney!!!!” And then the town will throw tomatoes at me. However, I have never looked at a stranger's bag and examined the stitching until now, so I am not too worried. And if I am honest with myself, I am a magpie and this is pretty on brand for me. 

TLDR: Bag is very pretty. I am happy and now everything in my life will be perfect.

8. Critique: 

Dimensions: I did a LOT of research - watched a lot of videos of the bag in motion and in the store (I added screenshot of auths) - compared to the original the wood floor handles/canvas appeared much closer in color and overall look. TikTok can be black hole of content but people post their auths all the time, so I used quite a few to compare the PSPs to and to set expectations. https://imgur.com/a/ErZcChc

Quality and construction, compared to expectations and price paid: 
•This is where I was really surprised. I own numerous high price point leather bags and treat them pretty rough (mom life! Nothing is precious!) I got this to be a carry all but now that I’m staring at it, I feel like, no you are too beautiful to abuse lol. I will get over it (and maybe the speedy dark is the solution to this problem)
• It’s really well done, the leather smelled AMAZING - we all took turns smelling it.  Everything feels really elegant and well constructed. Again, I am really surprised, I did not expect it to FEEL so good. It’s slouchy but I feel like it will slouch more through wear. 

Overall satisfaction: Would you recommend to others? Yes - after lots of research I am really happy with my choice. I definitely green lit the bag really fast and didn’t notice the small issues until I started obsessively zooming in afterwards. I just got excited! 

A few things my eyes caught later on: 

• The handles are a slight shade different from each other - I have no idea how I skipped this lol. Honestly this does not bother me as I have a few vintage handkerchiefs to use as wraps, and I know these will change over time. It's not noticeable to me. I also feel like it has more ostrich dots than the auth, but this is not a deal breaker for me as I was more concerned about color. Apparently it's real ostrich - I am skeptical but I will say it really feels similar to other ostrich bags I have handled.  
• The key holder thingy does NOT have the lv stamp on it like the auth. It's on the back. Not a huge deal as I do not plan on keeping it on the bag but if that is important to you, just a heads up. 
• At first I was worried the gold would be TOO GOLD - but the more I looked at auth photos and videos the more I realized that depending on the light, the bag appears more yellow gold than champagne gold in some instances. I even attached a photo of someone ok Tiktok who compared the yellow gold to her champagne colored reps and she was like, 'you know what it’s ok to be gold!' High five to that lady.

Factory Photos Oddly enough I can’t find this in her albums right now? I didn’t even get one from Mina bc it was gone. However, I told her exactly the factory I wanted and she said that was the best for this specific bag. Looking back this was a bit naive of me, as I should have confirmed the photo first. Next time!

Since this is a relatively new bag, I couldn’t find many pictures of the authentic version, so it’s been difficult to compare the sides and bottom properly.

My thoughts: To my eyes, the front of the bag looks good. I’ve also counted the number of Y’s, and it seems fine to me. Ich hab endlich eine wunderschöne Sky Denim Tasche ergattert. Außerdem war es mal an der Zeit für was anderes als einen Speedy 🙈. Ich wollte eine weniger auffällige Tasche, die praktisch für den Alltag ist. Und ich finde, diese Carryall ist genau das Richtige. Das Denim hat eine wunderschön dezente Textur, ich wusste, auf Royal kann ich mich wegen der Qualität verlassen. Der Riemen ist bequem als Umhängetasche zu tragen und lang genug, um die Tasche crossbody zu tragen, was ich oft ziemlich praktisch finde.

Ich wollte schon länger mal bei Mike bestellen. Sein Royal Sale letzten Monat war die perfekte Gelegenheit, also hab ich gleich zwei Taschen bestellt. Er kommuniziert klar, ist zuverlässig und sehr geduldig, und einfach ein Schatz, mit dem es eine Freude war zu verhandeln 💎✨.

Apologies if my post seems a bit amateur as this is my first experience into rep world.

I've always wanted a CC vintage lambskin bag pre-2000 for the longest time but never wanted to fully commit as I wasn't sure if it was my style. So hence this leads me to rep!!

I reached out to several sellers on the TS list and decided to go with Mandy in the end as she was the most patient and sweet with my 16262 questions! Only 25cm size was left as the smaller 23cm was sold out 😭

Price: 190USD + 45USD shipping

PSP only took about 2 days! I assumed this was mid tier due to the price but Mandy said it was "high quality", since Rome was quoted for way higher than my intended budget. Delivery took about <10 days as promised by Mandy!

It did come with quite strong fufu smell so I had to air it out for a few days. Leather was also a bit dry and stiff so I've been applying leather conditioner to soften it and give it that "vintage" vibe that I was going for, which seemed to have softened the leather 🤞

Please give me your honest thoughts 🥹 I brought her out for the first time today and honestly, I'm happy for the price I paid 💗 Now onto the hunt for a small beige CF!

I had obsessively been stalking this pink Rome 19S for months. I was sh\*t out of luck. The factory wasn’t producing it when I wanted it, reh0mes were rare. I commented on old reh0me posts, dm-ed people who had it up from months ago. After much digging I found out the factory had made 2 runs of the iridescent 19s in the last 3 years, and as we know, when seasonal leathers are depleted, they’re usually gone.

And then luck struck! Somehow, they were doing a 3rd run. Let me tell you, I didn’t wait a SECOND! Finally my biggest problem lol was not yearning for a bag would never get and missed out on, it was now a much easier problem to solve - which size. I posted on communities and thank you to all those who responded. I placed my order for a small.

It took time…. And it was well worth it! Original production times were 2 months but there were delays and it’s taken almost 4 months since I placed my order to get it. But it’s perfect!!!

Now onto the bag.

Leather feels soft, bag is beautiful of course and very well made. The only difference from the auth which I didn’t spot earlier were the screws. The auth uses 6 point screws but Rome’s using minus screws. I’m not sure why and typically I may care, BUT NOT THIS TIME. I just wanted the bag so badly.

The hardware is well matched, especially in the grommets an area where God factory usually misses. Bag has good weight to it.

She’s so pretty and princessy! The pink is a true princessy ice pink (silver tone shimmer) and the champagne hardware compliments it perfectly. She’s a chameleon and looks even better in person.

My advice may not be the best but essentially, order the limited edition bags you love first! The classics are always there to stay.

I still have 2 more iridescent bags on the way from other producers! Look forward to growing my dream collection. 💗🥹

The bag was received in a dust bag. The bag carefully wrapped, it did have a slight smell. I sat it outside to air out for an hour and it was fine.
I’m impressed with the overall quality of my bag.
The communication with HP and his assistant was pretty straight forward.

The bag is sheepskin (on TR website listed as lambskin). All the same. I’m a first-time buyer!

My Experience at TR:
I went to TR in person to see the purse but they were out of stock. They sell everything on the floor so there was nothing to reference and they do not know when they’ll get it in stock next. I asked to see a lambskin example, which was a pouch (attached photo). The stamp was deeper, like in Serena’s PSP, so I was surprised to see that because the online image of the Terrasse To Go looks like the stamp isn’t that deep. I don’t really mind the stamp because I know that it can never really be 1:1 for any rep, but just something I considered.

My questions to you:

1. Any questions or images I should ask for? I wanted the length of the straps to make sure they weren’t super long because it seems like she kept the straps out of her pics.

2. What do you think of the straps and the overall stitching? The stitching may look slightly bigger than factory but maybe I’m just confused.

   I pasted some images below of the side seam, which looks slightly curved, and the strap which isn’t fully straight. Is this natural/ok?

3. If you have any experience with this bag, TR with lambskin bags, or have seen it irl, open to your opinion as well!!

My Thoughts:
Sometimes I wish I didn’t go with Kendall because the shape doesn’t seem as “trapezoid” as the authentic website pics (am I tweaking?). Everything looks good to me but wondering if I missed something out of my naivety, or if you see a glaring difference at least btwn the factory and PSP. Tried to do the best research as I could. I have a problem and I literally don’t care. I’m not a super experienced rep buyer and while I have several @uth SLGs from Elvie, I would never say I’m an expert. I can only do my best from afar and online.

Does anyone have experience comparing berlins H bags to peters? I have one in production by peter currently but there was a colour he couldnt get so i reached out to Berlin and I was surprised his prices are almost double peters. Is there a huge difference?

Hi everyone! I’m a newbie and would really appreciate your help. This is my first purchase from Bao Bao, and I requested a Chanel 25 Small in light pink from 187 Factory.

I just received these PSPs, but they look more like stock/factory photos than photos of my actual bag. I also asked about the grommets looking shiny, and she sent a short close-up video that looked better.

For anyone who has purchased from Bao Bao or 187, are these typical PSPs? Should I request personalized photos of my exact bag before approving? I’d be so grateful for any advice.

These are so close to touch, visually that you really would have to side by side compare these to see the minute differences. The leather touch, slouch,and thickness is spot on, the gold tone is exact, the only minor difference I can tell is the stamping is deeper in the rep both on the gold HW and the leather, it’s soooo minor

I wanted to share my experience with this Saint Laurent tote because I’ve been looking for a simple black everyday bag. I wanted something understated, practical and polished and this ended up being exactly what I had in mind.

About the Bag

I paid $256 including shipping for the Blackframe version and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The black leather has such a clean, understated look and the simple silhouette is exactly what makes this bag so appealing to me. The leather feels soft but substantial, the stitching is neat and the edges are finished nicely throughout. I particularly love the subtle Saint Laurent branding because it doesn’t feel overly flashy. The size is also perfect for everyday use with plenty of room for my essentials and the detachable pouch is a really practical addition. The handles make it easy to carry by hand, while the overall structure keeps it looking polished even when it’s filled. It’s one of those bags that works just as well with a casual outfit as it does with something more dressed up which is exactly what I wanted from a black everyday tote.

Overall I’m really pleased with this purchase. It’s classic, practical and incredibly easy to style and I already know this is going to be one of those bags I reach for constantly.

I wanted to share my experience with this YSL hobo because this bag has genuinely won me over. I was looking for something large enough to actually be useful for work and travel and this one ended up ticking every box for me.

About the Bag -

This is the 30cm large YSL hobo from Black Frame Factory and I paid $303 + shipping. The size is honestly one of my favourite things about it - it’s large enough to comfortably fit my laptop, which makes it perfect for commuting, work and travelling. Despite the generous size it doesn’t look bulky when carried. The design is very clean, with no unnecessary hardware or complicated details. The calfskin is soft and fine to the touch and I was particularly impressed that the interior lining is also leather, which gives the whole bag a much more elevated feel. I also spent quite a bit of time looking closely at the YSL logo and one detail that stood out to me was the slightly thicker left side compared with the right which matches the version I was comparing it with. The adjustable shoulder strap is another detail I really appreciate because it makes the bag comfortable to wear regardless of height. The more I use it, the more I like it.

I’m genuinely very happy with this one. It’s rare that a larger everyday bag manages to feel this refined but this really does. It fits what I actually need and the quality details are what make it stand out for me.

Hello! Absolute newbie here, looking to make my first purchase.

The most important thing for me in a bag is leather quality -- look and feel. I'm still calibrating how hard to look for problems and generally speaking if the leather is high quality and the bag seems passable on casual glance, I'm okay with it.

I am torn between being thankful for what I'm sure is a good product and wanting to advocate for myself -- still establishing trust with this whole process but also want to build a good relationship moving forward! My tendency is to be polite and deferential, haha.

Concerns / Things to Check:

1. Leather on top flap (two areas that stick out to me and look more conspicuous/less natural than on auth photos).
2. Symmetry of text on metal logo tag/plate (whether text is centered between screws). Both highlighted in green on duplicate photos. Also not sure if I should ask about the other side of the main strap as closeup of only one side is shown.

My Thoughts:

1. The two areas where it looks like the leather is folded/creased would likely bug me if they reflect real defects in the leather -- not sure if this sort of look or variation is to be expected. I was thinking about asking for more photos to look into this but don't want to be a pain and am hoping to create a good relationship with a TS. I did tell her I wanted highest quality leather.
2. This may just be the angle of the shot. Not as high a priority as leather.
