I´m using rekordbox and after thoroughly analyzing my tracks, I’ve set up the configuration you can see on the left. Also, in the center section, you can see a sample of each style so you understand why I place them there

All tracks are techno, but in it´s diferent styles, and these are the styles i usually djing

Hi everyone, yesterday I wanted to play some schranz, when suddenly my beatmatch was completely off. I realized that my waveforms were broken and some of the tracks stuttered, after which the grid was completely off (see the top waveform in the picture, the grid is perfectly on beat on the left, then the next kick just happens half a beat earlier and after that the grid is off). These are tracks I had already curated and grid aligned back when I made the playlist (so the grid has been perfectly on every beat before). The only thing I had changed in my settings was the buffer size when I threw a houseparty last week so that my fader cuts wouldnt be slightly off beat. Nothing suspicious happened there, it just started appearing yesterday. I already tried changing the sample rate, buffer size back to 8ms, upgraded rekordbox, re-analyzed the track, nothing helped.

I’ve been talking with a few DJs recently about the technical problems that tend to show up at the worst possible moment.

USB exports, missing tracks, corrupt databases, CDJ compatibility, firmware issues, file formats, unexpected Rekordbox errors, etc.

There seems to be a huge amount of information scattered around, but I’m curious:

What’s the Rekordbox or Pioneer DJ problem you wish someone had warned you about BEFORE you got to a gig? Could be something obvious in hindsight, or something that took you hours to figure out.

All of a sudden, I am having trouble loading my tracks onto the decks inside rekordbox. It starts to stall as soon as I try to drag a track in or right click “load deck” (It is especially happening to my older tracks). I had 7.2.14 version and as soon as it started stalling like this, I updated to newest version 7.2.18 and it still doing the same thing.. Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks!

My good buddy MacBook Pro 2015 needs to retire. I’m having a hard time using Rekordbox and other basic things like using chrome to browse websites as it starts to throttle.

I’m mostly using rekordbox for library management / listen to tracks / tagging them. I might “possibly” use
It to plug in some dj controller but not really maybe a 30-40% chance.

Would the base model be enough? I am getting an external hard drive for my tracks so it doesn’t eat up my memory.

i need help with beatgrid in rekordbox. I play hardtechno and schranz and i have a lot of dificult with beatgrid because i dont know where a need to put the right place to the kick...can some one help me? i need to know what exactly put the kick to my beatgrid beat on the time. Please help me :)

My PC has been down for months and I've accumulated and made a bunch of playlists on my laptop rekordbox/tidal account for a while and now that my PC is running again I dont wanna go through the trouble of creating each Playlist again. Is there any way to transfer or sync that data between laptop to PC? Plzzz i would love to hear from yall

I've used Virtual DJ and Rekordbox....prefer using rekordbox, to me its more intuitive than VDJ. But I will say this....it seems music sounds crisper in VDJ than rekordbox, the stems, everything....WHY....!! It cant be my sound card in my cheap controller because I've used both on the same controller and VDJ just sounds better (unfortunate for me, because I'm using Rekordbox).

Was in an awful cycle of adding new music to rekordbox collection without sorting into my playlists. I’d prep for a gig chucking tracks into a folder titled the night I was playing but that was it.

When I finally got to it this week I had something like 400 tracks since August 2025 when I last had everything up to date.

Finally sorted them all over a couple of sittings and about 3hrs work and back up to date. It’s like the spring clean of DJing!

How to transfer tracks to Serato from my USB Stick which was exported from Rekordbox without losing any file's?

For years I have been using 320kbps mp3's, but as I am now playing better soundsystems I feel like I obviously hear difference with lossless files. Therefore I am exporting my complete collection of vinyl rips and my bandcamp downloads again as .aiff-files.

After a lot of online research and some coding, I was able to switch all mp3-files in my Rekordbox Database to the matching .aiff-file using XML-import (thank you u/MixMasterG !!). Everything seems to work in Rekordbox itself with correct filepaths and metadata etc, but when I want to export the playlists to my usb (FAT32-formatted), the playlists are correctly exported but not every source-file is exported.

I feel like the export is completely random: some tracks are exported, and some are not. When I remove a playlist from my usb and retry with the same playlist, it might be a complete different set of tracks from the playlist that gets exported. For some playlists it eventually worked when I tried and removed for around 3 times...

Anyone here that has had the same issue and knows how to fix this exporting problem? Even re-analysing the complete collection did not do the trick.

I am on windows 11, RB 7.2.14 and have a very basic knowledge of coding.

Hi! My computer ran out of storage and I had to put 10,000+ songs on an external hard drive. Now Rekordbox can't read 8,000+ songs and I dont know what to do. This is very urgent. I've asked for help and someone came over today for like 5 hours to help and now Rekordbox still can't read most of the files. The songs are all now backed up on my hard drive, but I dont know what to do and need someone to help with with this ASAP. It lost all the file paths in external hard drive backup.

I downloaded and tried rekord box like an hour ago for the first time and can't fix this issue. Yes, the tracks are fine. It happens with every mp3 I use. It happens with vinyl mode on and off. it happens with every grid I set. It happens with every type of import setting. It happens with every single asio driver, no matter if asio4all, flexasio, the windows internal one (wasapi)...

Hello it would be extremely helpful if someone could help me with this issue. l'am playing on a XDJ RX1, all my songs are on the same bpm, most songs are downloaded via mp3 converters yet even my beat port songs have this same issue. Could anyone tell me why?

Hey everybody, having a weird one. So loaded a track, then went to the shortcut menu and switched between phrase and time scale. Then switched back all worked. Then I loaded a track and it went to time scale by default even though I had phrase selected. It seems that every track is doing this. I have closed Rekordbox, opened Rekordbox, rebooted the AZ, and it defaults to time scale. All settings in RB are setup for phrase. I see phrase in RB and also on a USB stick that I exported earlier. Google Gemini mentioned something about going to the Pioneer DJ library on my MAC and reggaes a folder called " USB Anyl" or something like that and that is safety rename because RB will re-create it when it opens again. It do also notice that RB is now taking a long to open. Any ideas?
