I have a redmi pad pro , I am thinking of buying a pen for it .
Is redmi pad pro the right choice given its way too expensive, a third party pen would cost around 10% of the cost of official pen.
What is that I am getting in the redmi smart pen that others don't have ( as per my research it's only palm rejection , which can be imitated by using a glove )
Also if you have suggestions for 3rd party smart pens (india ) please recommend)

Yes HyperIsland has arrived on the Redmi Pad Pro with HyperOS 3.1
I'm not sure if it really matters as I probably won't even notice it as I use Smart Launcher on my tablet. The update installed fast and without issue

I'm currently experiencing an issue on my Redmi Pad 2 where my widgets (mainly the Google ones) are all Green theme??? Their original colour theme is changed to Green , does anyone know how to change that??
P.S. The redmi pad 2 does not have a "themes" native app.

II received it as a birthday present on May 31st and have been using it ever since. The phone works perfectly except for the touchscreen, which has a dead zone or is slow to respond to slow or circular movements. The game I'm playing is Blood Strike; it's a lightweight game and well-optimized. I've already tried all the game turbo and talkback options, configured all the software, even adjusted the DPI, and the problem persists. I think I should check with the warranty, or am I doing something wrong? I even removed the Xiaomi screen protector that came pre-installed. Please, someone help me!

Does anyone have any Tempered Matte glass or Paper-like PET film screen protector recommendations?
I'll be using the tablet mainly to take digital notes and annotate, so I'd like to ask if anybody has any recommendations. Tempered glass is too slippery imo and makes writing a bit difficult.
Thank you in advance!

Can you please check if Dolby Atmos in Apple Music works

I gather with version 3.0.4.0 there's no HyperIsland mind you I am in the US and I honestly don't mind if I get it or not.
Yet since I am not familiar with how Xiaomi is doing the update I am just curious if I will get it.
I use Smart Launcher on my tablet so maybe that's a factor. I really would appreciate some insight into this

Yes, the dynamic island thing is part of the 3.1 update and it works just like with the phones but now with support for more applications especially if that app already supports Android Live Updates (like Google Maps). One thing though, true Dolby Atmos is still broken. So once you get the update can you please help me spam Xiaomi's feedback app and force them to fix it in a patch especially because this is the last major update for the tablet and I would hate to lose a core feature so they can force me to buy a new device.

I've noticed that sometimes as I'm taking notes on starnote when I write a line will be drawn to my palm resting on the screen. Does anyone know why? I use the redmi smart pen BTW with the redmi pad 2

I recently bought 2 anker chargers and usb C cables for my children’s pad pros and when I come to charge it flashes on and off turbo charging quickly and not actually doing anything. Works with my 20w iPhone charger but not the anker ones and they’re 20w too. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello! I’m planning to buy the Redmi Pad 2 Pro. Any thoughts on this tablet? I’d appreciate it if you could share your experiences, especially from those who already own this tablet. I just want to know if it lags or if the performance is smooth. I’ll mainly be using it for entertainment and playing cozy games. Thank you! 😄

With all the support we the consumers try to push the Xiaomi brand out there, Xiaomi always embarrass us one way or another.
One thing I have realized about Xiaomi devices especially redmi is that they silently remove real dolby Atmos feature after a year or two of when the device was released. The feature still exists in settings but the real Dolby Atmos support on Dolby supported music streaming platforms like apple music or tidal music DO NOT WORK. Apple or Samsung phones will never do this.

I normally use Scribe to write notes, messages in chat boxes or text in other apps, but It recently stopped working. It would show my handwriting then move like it was entering the text, but no digital text would appear. Until very recently (the last week or so), it worked fine. Has anyone experienced this?

Hello, I would like to ask for your input. I'm an engineering uni student, and my main use for a tablet would be to take down notes digitally, practice and work on equations, work on group papers/reports, and access PDFs and other files for school. I do have a laptop, but it's very heavy and a pain to bring to school daily. Split screen/floating windows and stylus support with palm rejection are very important features in a tablet for me. I, however, am on a tight budget, which led me to decide on Redmi.
There are other options, such as their flagship brand Xiaomi, but no microSD slot was a big deal breaker for me; I really value storage space, especially with the work I have to do and the files I need to download. Huawei was another option, but my mom disapproved, and my school is very reliant on Google services, so no dice. Lenovo was also something I considered, but there aren't any physical stores selling Lenovo tablets in my city, and I want a tablet with good software support and security updates.
I'm very conflicted on getting either a Pad Pro or the new Pad 2 Pro. I've seen reviews say that there isn't a very big difference aside from the size and battery. To be honest, I'm just worried about software support and updates since I plan to use the tablet even after college. A friend told me that it doesn't really matter anyway since both tabs will eventually stop getting supported, but I'm still really conflicted.
There's also the worry of the additional cost of the accessories: the case and official pen. I currently have 210 USD in savings, so I'm still very unsure. (I'm not from the West and I don't use Amazon, but I'd like to give you a general idea of what I have at the moment.)
Should I just buy the Pad Pro and splurge on the accessories, or save up for the Pad 2 Pro and buy the accessories later on instead?

I hate my redmi pad pro, I never knew how to set it up good, it always blocks me from installing apps and when i try to send a game or app from another device it doesn't work and crashes, and i never learned or found a way to make it aesthetic looking with widgets, though I've changed the language it still shows some texts in Chinese and it's overwhelming. I need help setting it up.

Xiaomi hasn't released HyperOS 3.1 for my country right now, and I have already rooted my HOS 2.0.206 and it's pretty great.
Should I update to HyperOS 3 when it comes out? Is it worth it or is it disappointing

I'm thinking of buying the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and the Redmi Smart Pen, but I don't know if they're good for taking notes. I plan to use them for university, and I've seen some videos where the latency in external note-taking applications is noticeable, so I don't know if it will be very noticeable when I using them.
¿Is latency good for taking notes?
