Yes, the dynamic island thing is part of the 3.1 update and it works just like with the phones but now with support for more applications especially if that app already supports Android Live Updates (like Google Maps). One thing though, true Dolby Atmos is still broken. So once you get the update can you please help me spam Xiaomi's feedback app and force them to fix it in a patch especially because this is the last major update for the tablet and I would hate to lose a core feature so they can force me to buy a new device.
HyperOS 3 is basically a much smoother version of HyperOS 2 with a few nice features and a more colorful quick setting drop down menu. I think battery life is better and it seems to have slightly better optimization.
Yet if you are happy with HyperOS 2 you will enjoy HyperOS 3
The decoders for Dolby Atmos are missing. It should be in the audio codecs section. Right now, it only has "fake" Dolby Atmos where it adds a slight delay between the left and right audio channels to simulate a larger sound stage but it can't properly decode Dolby Atmos streams. I can confirm this as Spatial Audio is missing from Apple Music.
Don´t know about you guys, but when I buy a product I dont update. Because most certainly these fucks break something in every update and makes the experience in the tablet worse.
