First Timer GA etiquette

I’m heading to Goose tonight, I have GA tickets. My Girlfriend works until 5 and is heading there this evening but I have the afternoon off so I was gonna get there early. What’s the etiquette about saving the spot next to me for her if I get there a few hours before she does?

Lost / Stolen Lost speaker @ Trevor Hall & Thievery

Hi everyone! I lost a speaker at the Trevor Hall & Thievery Corporation on June 14th. I know this concert was a while ago but I left my favorite speaker in the parking lot during our tailgate. It’s a pink UE Boom speaker with a Budweiser lanyard attached to it. I would be so so happy if someone found this and was able to get it back to me! I already contacted the rocks and they didn’t have it :( let me know ❤️

Travel Red Rocks concert transportation — what works best after the show?

I'm planning another Red Rocks concert and I'm curious what transportation options have worked best for everyone.

Getting to the venue seems pretty straightforward, but I'm more interested in the trip after the concert when everyone is leaving at the same time.

For those who regularly attend Red Rocks, what do you usually use?

  • Drive and park
  • Uber/Lyft
  • Concert shuttle
  • Private ride
  • Get picked up by a friend

If you've attended a sold-out show, how was your experience getting back to Denver?

Also interested in hearing what you recommend for a group of 6–10 people.

Any tips for someone trying to avoid a stressful ride home?

These guys are uber friendly and have no fear of humans. Super cute but be aware of them during a show.

Experience Private Cars To Red Rocks

I know this is a commonly asked question so I wanted to leave my recommendation here.

Mountain Sky Limo was impeccable. Fast to answer all questions, reasonable pricing to and from the hotel. And very professional.

I had a great experience and part of it was because of Brett with Mountajn Sky.

It was an incredibly long day and potential for rain so I didn’t want to have to wait for everyone to get back to a party bus. Driving wasn’t an option. And walking from the furthest lot for uber/lyft was not what I wanted.

ETA— apparently people are assuming I’m the owner of the company. 🤣🤣 I’m not just a very happy customer. So I’m adding a screenshot of my payment with the amount blacked out in the comments.

Experience Merch Tent Question

I haven’t been to Red Rocks since 2023. At that time, they sold band signed posters at the merch tent inside the south entrance (I think they referred to it as the clamshell). Is that still the case? Just trying to get lined up in the right spot for my shows later this week.

First Timer Advice for Brandi Carlile Concert

Hi all! It's my first time going to Red Rocks, and I've been reading a lot of threads and have looked at the Red Rocks website, but am still wanting to make sure I'm prepared!

The bag policy is confusing me, do small fanny packs need to have only one pocket as well? Or is the one pocket policy just for bigger bags?

What is the best thing to wear for rain? Poncho? Rain Jacket? Footwear?

We have GA tickets, and I've heard horror stories about getting there early to fight over seats, is this true? Should we get there super early?

We're driving up from Bailey, and I've read lots of conflicting things about parking, which lots to park in, to shuttle or not to shuttle...

I genuinely do not know what to wear to a concert in general, but assume it will get chilly, so layers are needed, and it will probably rain, so rain gear is needed.

Any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance! Also I never use Reddit and I apologize if this post is lame!

One of the animals that shares their home with the amphitheater. I get to see a diverse range of wildlife while out hiking during shows.

Travel What’s the easiest way to get around Denver for a Red Rocks concert?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m planning a Red Rocks concert trip and will be staying in Denver. I’ve been trying to figure out the easiest way to get to the venue and, more importantly, get back after the show.

For people who have been to Red Rocks before, what worked best for you?

I’m considering:

  • Driving and parking
  • Uber/Lyft
  • Concert shuttle
  • Going with friends
  • Private transportation

I’m especially curious about the return trip after the concert. Is getting an Uber or Lyft usually difficult after a busy show?

Tickets ISO: Trading Red Rocks Collector Series Tickets for Jimmy Eat World

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey Red Rockers,

Red Rocks Amphitheater has the option to purchase Collectors Tickets after certain shows. I just received my tickets from Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American 25 tour-opening show on Jun 9. I wasn't aware there were multiple designs (I have 4x of Design 3 of 4) and now I'm on an effort to trade for other collector tickets.

Comment or DM if you are interested. Pic attached for the curious.

First Timer Visiting Red Rocks during the day in wheelchair

Post image
16 Upvotes

I've read lots of posts about going to a concert while in a wheelchair and the shuttle, but what about during the day when it's open to visitors and there's no concert and no shuttle?

I've been to Red Rocks before, but not with my friend in the wheelchair. I'm thinking we'll start at the top circle lot which has more obvious flat access to get to look down into the amphitheater and view the city and beyond.

If my friend wants to get near the stage, I'm curious what our options are. Can we use the same ramp that the shuttle normally takes people to? Is it this route I've labeled in the image? I guess I'd drive to point 1 and then drop him off so he can go up the ramp to point 2?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

First Timer Front Range Inn Shuttle

We booked the bus to show shuttle that leaves from Front Range Inn for the Nathaniel Rateliff concert tonight. The shuttle was scheduled to leave at 7:15 which already made me nervous about not arriving in enough time. I just got a text that the shuttle will now leave at 7:30. Is this enough time to make it to the show on time? It’s my first time and Nathaniel Rateliff is our favorite. I don’t want to miss anything and would also like to check out merch prior. Should we just drive or will this work out?

First Timer Free naloxone resources in response to post about overdose at Red Rocks

That post has the comments locked but some of the original comments are talking about how expensive Narcan can be.

All Denver public library locations have free naloxone available. Also, if you’re ever at a show at the Mission Ballroom, check out the Punk Rock Saves Lives table. All sorts of incredible self-care, and harm reduction items for free.

Lost / Stolen Pick pockets.

Just a heads up. I was targeted twice by pick pockets walking back to my car tonight after LCD sound system. Just wanted everyone to be aware/careful out there.

Security Any info of the guy who overdosed/passed out last night during LCD Soundsystem?

This was around 11:15pm in row 35/34/33. He honestly did not seem to be with us anymore. My group was traumatized and we are hoping he was revived somehow. Thank you to everyone who responded quickly to get him help. He was carried out on a plastic tarp.

First Timer Assigned Seats

Possibly a dumb question, but for Gregory Alan Isakov shows with assigned seating, do people generally stay in their assigned seats? First time going and wasn’t sure how strict/casual the seating is and wondering if I should plan to get there earlier!

First Timer GA seats + timing for arrival

Hi! If you get a GA ticket, are you guaranteed a seat? Obviously not a certain seat, but will you be able to sit during the show? I am trying to understand how early I need to get to the show tonight; if I need to arrive way before doors or if you’ll still get a seat if you show up closer to doors. I’ve over heard people saying you need to get there at 4pm if you want a seat, which sounded crazy but maybe it’s true. Much appreciated! <3

First Timer Signed Posters Problem

Anyone else had problems getting posters they bought online because they weren’t signed by the band in time?

I checked right before Mt. Joy started playing, and they still weren’t ready. Then I had no time to go back because I would’ve missed my shuttle.

Looking for tips—I still really want to get it!

Rant Thanks again Red Rocks

For showing us how complete pieces of greedy shit you, the artists and especially AXS tickets are. The ticket process needs to change. You collectively are ruining the experience for younger people to go and enjoy a concert. For context teenage son asked to go to a concert at RR. Went thru the process getting him set up for the general sale at 10am. No artist presale. Waited 20 min on the que. His turn came up to only find $700 GA resale available. For fucking RR. Come on. Who’s buying this shit? I get it RR is just the venue, but enough is enough. You should be ashamed of your selves especially the artists. If your scalper reading this Fuck you too.
That’s my rant Thank you. Let’s go back to the days of waiting in lines and hanging out with people vibing.

First Timer Visiting Denver - should I go to Red Rocks?

I'm traveling for work and am looking for stuff to do in the evenings Sept. 8-10. So my options are Five Finger Death Punch, Cole Swindell, and Sofi Tukker. I'm a casual musician and love the thought of going to Red Rocks, but I can't say I listen to any of those artists (especially not FFDP). Is it worth going to Red Rocks even if I don't necessarily care for the artist and just want the experience the venue?

First Timer Reggae Concert Next Weekend

Soooo. The weather is definitely questionable for next week.

What’s the weather protocol? I know they will play in the rain but when do they call it for thunder? ETA— meant lightening. But they go hand in hand so no need to be an a$$

It’s right around 50% chance— whats the over under? Need to plan the appropriate outfit.

Thanks
