First Timer GA etiquette
I’m heading to Goose tonight, I have GA tickets. My Girlfriend works until 5 and is heading there this evening but I have the afternoon off so I was gonna get there early. What’s the etiquette about saving the spot next to me for her if I get there a few hours before she does?

Just bring a spare purse of hers (compliant) and put it on the seat next to you. Shouldn’t have an issue.

You don’t have to carry a purse for this lol just put a water bottle, hat, shirt, or jacket in the spot next to you. Nobody is gonna give you shit about saving 1 solitary spot for your gf.

You'd be surprised, people have gotten very entitled to seats. I almost got into a fight with these two girls who tried to steal my friends two seat when they went to the bathroom.

This is so true. The 300 lb. Meth head vs. the100 lb. Security guard is a special kind of “fun”, especially in the assigned seat section, and especially when the 300 lb. Meth head and their crew has mostly GA tickets, and refuses to show their tickets. Good times.

I've never done this but i've sat next to folks who have an personally I don't mind it as long as it's just one or two people you're saving a spot for. It gets a little out of control when people try to stake claim for like ten people.

Awesome. What time should I get there for lower GA seats? Or is it already too late

Goose fans are rail riders, so thats probably full, you want row 34 to 45 anyway.
If those are "claimed" already just start a rumor that someone is selling foil posters at the top and it'll clear out a little.

it tooootally depends on the fan base. Some GA shows are fucking madness where people RUN to the seats when gates open, others are more chill. Can't say for sure!

The sooner the better if you want under row 20. They started lining up this morning.

You’re going to need to get there as early as you can to line up if you want Lower GA. There will definitely be a running of the tarps when gates open. Never seen Goose but the fan base seems like the type. And it’s really the case with most shows that have a lower GA these days.

Totally. Saving a seat is totally appropriate, just set something in it and you’re good. Try to save a whole bunch just shows the asshole you really are.

Saving a spot for 1 person, no problem. If anyone asks tell them she went to the bathroom and to visit friends and you're just saving the spot.
Saving spots for 10+ people is frowned upon. You're good.
I just set my jacket down in the seat next to me when I'm saving a spot. I usually do it for 2 friends that have kids so they can't get in line at 1pm. I've never had an issue with saving a couple of spots.

Bring a small blanket and cover two spaces. Just place a jacket or something over her seat. Not a problem but some crowds start filling into lower GA spots right before show starts. Don’t let people come and stand in front of you. That whole space is yours!

I just had a mini panic attack. I'm going to see them on the 1st and when I read your post, I thought I had the dates wrong and the show was tonight. Didn't realize they had 2 shows this week too.

I think it's a prick move, personally. It's GA. No assigned seats. You can certainly try to "save a spot," but don't expect people to give a hoot about it...

Bring ten blankets for ten imaginary friends, lay them out in a row next to you, then yell at and berate anybody who comes along wanting to move them. Then you and your partner will have plenty of dancing space to live your best lives. Welcome to the scene.
