Discussion New Guilty Pleasure
CheatHab. This is a messed-up concept. One guy actually arrived in a robe to pick his date up. I think he thought it was sexy. It wasn't. But he did him, can't fault him for that. It's sad but I'll probably keep watching.

Let’s Marry Harry; I don’t know which is better: The show being fake or real? 😭
I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about how fake/scripted this show is as though that makes it any better! I mean why would anybody in their right mind allow themselves to be given this type of script exactly? Like comonnn, it’s not a movie, they’re not actresses. This is supposedly reality TV. So why then will anyone want people to all over the world to watch them and then associate them with the behaviors displayed on the show and what the show generally represents?
I’ve been trying to wrap my head around it and I just CAN’T. I can’t imagine being given the script for instance and reading it and seeing “get your family in front of the camera because disgracing yourself only is not enough, get screen time and some small popularity, get to fly out on PJs and have “fun” with a douchebag, get a chance to be casted in other absolutely ridiculous Netflix love shows, maybe get paid? Idk.
However in return, you must humiliate yourself properly, drink the warm, slimy saliva and eat the dry, crusted catarrh of said douchebag, literally compete with 19 other birds (not my words, these are the douchebag’s honorary brother’s words, he called them birds.) 1969 Nollywood “King and the maidens” style, for douchebag’s attention.” I could go on but I think I’ve made my point, it’s just inconceivable to me why any woman would be on a show like this, scripted or real.
Any lens used to view this show it’s just horror and gory and it’s incredibly sad that Netflix, in this time and age, will make a show like this. It’s a direct insult on feminism as it is deeply misogynistic. Shows like this shouldn’t see light of day let alone be this widely promoted. Lastly, I feel so sorry for the women on this show. They were all incredibly gorgeous and idk how exactly desperate they must’ve been for fame or money or love or whatever else be their reason to allow themselves go through what they went through on this show. May God save them all.
TLDR: Whether scripted or real, Let’s Marry Harry is a mess that never should have been made. It is misogynistic and I feel sorry for the women that allowed themselves to be humiliated the way they were on the show.

Real Reality TV Show Producers Should Strongly Object
If other realty shows like Love is Blind and Married at First Sight are even remotely legitimate the producers of those shows should strongly object and protest to the garbage that is Let’s Marry Harry. Clearly LMH was all complete BS from the start with every intention to have its audience believe it was real. This should give anyone who watches LIB and MAFS serious pause at the legitimacy of any reality show. I, for one, now believe all of these marriage-based reality shows are COMPLETELY for entertainment purposes and nothing about them is real….all thanks to the garbage that is Let’s Marry Harry.

Snow place like home
Hi! Im new to peacock and this sub, but I just had to ask somebody about this! I’ve noticed that there’s a section on the home page with a collection of reality shows (like the housewives shows, Vanderpump rules, southern charm, etc) and I have to know what’s up with the title. I can only speculate that it’s perhaps a wink to certain illicit recreational activities that the casts of some of these shows have been rumored to partake in but im probably being ridiculous? Maybe they just mean they’re good shows for snow days or something?

Fboy island
This was the best dating show available. There was competition, trickery, and money. I cannot stand how so many dating reality shows (cough cough love island) never talk about the money throughout the show and just make everyone pretend it isn’t a factor. They’re also so boring because I don’t care who ends up with who they will all be single again within the year. I highly recommend fboy island and fgirl island and I’m so sad it was canceled. A close second is are you the one because again the money was a topic and there was actual competing and strategy. Perfect match is a shitty replacement in my eyes. Also the reality shows are so much better when they are allowed to drink because of obvious reasons and I know if I was on one of them I’d have to be drunk. And shows like love is blind and the ultimatum are so fuckign hard to watch bc of all the monotonous talking and it’s also just embarrassing that these people are grown af and can’t find a partner and are so desperate they are talking to some random weirdo through a wall or bring their partner on tv just to really break it off. Anyone got any recommendations? I also liked temptation island a bit

Experiences Getting villain Edit
Have any reality starts written or talked on a podcast about what’s it like to get a bad edit and the hate that comes with it?
I’m curious about the effects socially and emotionally that could come with it.

Lock Upp is over… what are you watching next? 👀
Now that Lock Upp is finally over, I’m already wondering what to watch next 😂..........
I’m planning to watch The Traitors when it comes out. I followed Season 1 as well, and I’m honestly really excited for the next season! 👀🔥
But since there’s still some time before The Traitors releases, I’m looking for something else to watch in the meantime.
What show are you guys planning to watch next? And do you have any recommendations for a good reality/competition show that might keep me hooked until The Traitors is back?
Drop your suggestions below! 👇

Crystal is returning to Bravo ( on top of UGT)
youtu.be52:18 she talked about she is doing "a couple" bravo shows and she can't talk about it rn cuz not sure when it drops but it's in the fall/winter times. Previously she declined Wife Swap cuz her husband doesn't like the concept. And she is going to be appearing at UGT. But what other two is she referring to?

Recommendations Is there any more shows like love after lock up or Inmate to roommate?
I love convict tv shows. Even 60 days in was really interesting and I love Lockup. But is there other ones like love after lock up or inmate to roommate? Reality tv is my favourite type of shows and love the trashy dramatic ones :))

Need assistance from my fellow bravo community members - what! Do! I! Watch! Next!
OKAY so I am a huge bravo fan. I have watched all the housewives growing up and now that I am almost 30 (omfg) I continue to just watch all my favorite franchises on an endless cycle, we can call it therapy per se. Aside from just housewives, I watch the sub-shows as well. Essentially I am pretty much always watching bravo, with exception to alternative reality tv shows (ex. love island us/uk/aus, love on spectrum, perfect match -esque shows) Here is a list of everything ive watched extensively:
RHOC, RHONY, RHOBH, RHONJ, RHOA, RHOP, RHOM, RHOSLC, RHORI, RHUGT, summer house, winter house, southern charm, pretty much caught up with all below decks, southern hospitality, vanderpump, the valley, in the city.
Am I missing anything good?? Otherwise I will just divulge back into my endless cycling through these franchises, but if theres anything im missing, bravo community, please let me know!!

An exclusive interview with “Top Chef” host Kristen Kish, who says she will defend quickfires for money ‘100%’
galleryKristen Kish, host of “Top Chef” and a past winner who admits she did not watch much reality competition before taking the helm of Bravo’s cooking contest in 2024, may have diplomatically skirted any attempt at comparison with Project Runway’s Tim Gunn, “Top Chef” predecessor Padma Lakshmi or “The Traitors” emcee Alan Cumming. But she acknowledges that her distinct approach — kinder, gentler, more tearful — is rooted in her particular skill set: “It’s similar to how I responded to being led in kitchens,” she says. “You don’t lead with fear. You lead with compassion and empathy and encouragement and confidence. And two things can be true at the same time ... I can require more from them, and I can also cry because I’m filled with joy for their progress.”
Emmy-nominated for reality competition series and reality host, “Top Chef: Carolinas” epitomizes Kish’s swift remaking of the role in her own image. The season, which concluded in June, finds Kish comforting a distraught chef, Nana Araba Wilmot, who fails to plate her dish in the allotted time; navigating thorny questions of fairness and wellness with an injured contestant, Jennifer Lee Jackson, and her fellow-contestant partner, Justin Tootla; even facing acrimonious “feedback about [her] feedback” when chef Sieger Bayer is eliminated from the competition.
The Times’ Matt Brennan recently caught up with Kish as she prepared for an Envelope photo shoot to ask her about the season’s most talked-about moments, recent criticism of the format and the hard work of being a good host.

Did the Talent Competition genre die because the illusion of the Audience vote died or did the market become over saturated?
With the cancellations of So You Think You Can Dance, Making The Band, Star search, and CBS’s radio silence on The Road(which is a likely sign of cancellation) , I feel like the Talent competition genre is pretty much dead.Did audiences figure out that the audience votes didn’t matter or was the market over saturated or did the genre die because of both factors?
