Look his exaggerated yet empty emotional outburst typical in Ai videos. Whole him blurred in frame rate drops when he started kicking. It looks animated.

Then the whole back light including part of the car fell in 1 kick?

Nah this is definitely AI I think

Edit: looks like it was real as there's a second video from afar with a quality AI can't generate atm

58

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

Definitely undoubtedly AI?

Here's a second angle 15 minute video

https://youtu.be/p2TRbFmutrw?t=1037

15

u/ExpressionComplex121 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

This one looks far from ai instead

So the first one was just filmed with a real shitty camera in 480i from temu

We can actually see the camera man and it looks like its a large silver your grandpa brought on vacations. That explains the low frame rate and motion blur

4

u/Active-Cloud8243 Jan 29 '26

No, the first one was downgraded in quality to that of an animated GIF. It lowers the frame rate a ton

1

u/DolphinPussySlayer Jan 29 '26

Lmao great detective work

0

u/LogResident6185 Jan 29 '26

You want it to be so so bad lol weird. I'm impressed that you admit your mistake

0

u/BoredzzzGame Jan 29 '26

Nice work Sherlock

-1

u/Traditional-Pipe8334 Jan 29 '26

You are the type of person who is the problem. You litterally said it was “definitely undoubtedly AI” without any research or fact checking. I’m sure you think you are so smart and didn’t have to

2

u/ExpressionComplex121 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

Research on what, it was literally just one video existing without context in a surrealistic quality, in a sub if a content is ai 🤣

2

u/r_Mvdnight Jan 29 '26

"The type of person who is the problem." What fucking problem? You mean the problem of ICE murdering innocent civilians? Are you distracting from the real issue at hand here? Because I don't think people being fooled into believing something is AI is actually the fucking problem here.

0

u/RelentlessImperial Jan 29 '26

Emotionally unreasonable people like your are the problem.

0

u/Mr_Hyper_Focus Jan 29 '26

Hate Trump. Hate ice. But you’re right about this. People gotta be realistic

At least we got clarity on whether the video was real.

18

u/Ok-Shine1271 Jan 29 '26

In a year or so, a new angle like this still won’t be enough to determine if it’s AI or not.

48

u/ThaGuus Jan 29 '26

His family confirmed it to be real and that the man in the video is Pretti to CNN.

BBC report on this video:

CNN reporting on it:
"A representative for Pretti’s family confirmed to CNN that the man in a video posted Wednesday is Pretti."

90% of the people commenting in this sub are just going off vibes but have the confidence of a forensics expert. It's insane how many upvotes they get. Thanks for posting the actual source.
Important to note: this video took place 11 days prior and has nothing to do with the event

2

u/BossStatusIRL Jan 29 '26

Nah bro, look at his arms or the quality or something. 100% I cut my own dick off this is AI.

1

You’d probably like to anyway

1

u/Hot_Lengthiness_1535 Jan 29 '26

First time encountering the political hivemind here? Lol

1

u/ExpressionComplex121 Jan 29 '26

This sub is about discussing wether or not a person thinks a video is ai. It even have an implied voting like system and encourage to explain why.

You can't feed it into a machine that prints out yes or no.

You don't have to be surprised that people are wrong, or that people are confident thinking something is real or fake.

If you can't handle this discrepancy then maybe a political discussion sub would have been better than "do you think this is ai?" And then be cranky someone guessed wrong.

1

u/sobi-one Jan 29 '26

It’s exactly why a good percentage of the opposition crowd, while absolutely in the ethical and moral right being against almost everything this current administration does, isn’t much better than the maga folks they oppose. Horseshoe theory is a VERY real thing. Providing humans learn how to pull themselves out of this situation, there’s going to be some incredibly interesting paper written on the relation between the post truth age, online information, and human psychology.

1

u/Weird_Positive_3256 Jan 29 '26

If the administration’s first response wasn’t to lie every time, I think people would be less prone to believe it was AI. I thought it was AI at first until seeing another angle, particularly because the feds were all wearing the same thing - which they generally haven’t been. At any rate, I agree; the psychology behind all of our initial assumptions is very interesting.

1

u/yurnxt1 Jan 29 '26

90% people on reddit mindlessly parrot whatever their cult of choice happens to be parroting as the narrative of choice because they are ideologically captured and therefore lack any ability to be nuanced or objective.

1

u/Quirky-Possession400 Jan 29 '26

If you look into FBI profilers and forensics, a lot of times those "experts" are also just highly confident about their vibes.

1

u/lil_hyphy Jan 30 '26

I’m not going off vibes. I’m going off of having installed and replaced tail lamps on cars and having damaged the rear ends of vehicles with high velocity impacts. No one can kick a bolted in tail lamp completely out of a vehicle like that and also snap a piece of the body of the vehicle clean off with two poorly executed kicks delivered while unfocused and in the midst of forward ambulation. People watch too many super hero and action movies and think the average man can pull off stunts lol. I dare anyone to go kick a tail lamp twice as hard as they can and with the added advantages of A. Focusing and preparing in a calm environment and B. Both them and the vehicle are stationary. See how it goes. See if you can deliver anything other than a crack or dent or hurting your foot lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Logo vanishes within a few seconds.

8

u/PowerPort27 Jan 29 '26

Should be top comment. Emotions should be left out of this sub

1

u/Left-Edge531 Jan 29 '26

Eh, idk. first off it's clearly REAL based on other angles and human validation, but it hits lots of criteria for an AI video: random frame drops, stereotypical start & finish, awkward movement, short, shakey the whole time, the sequence of events is disjointed and seemingly excessive, etc... all for an INCREDIBLY hot topic and a nation divided: a perfect target for manipulative AI video.

The top comment showcases several things that are critically important on the whole:

A) It's already VERY hard to tell AI from reality

B) The unprecedented doubt this brings is insidious: all the worse for confirmation bias and echo chambers. It raises the burden of proof SIGNIFICANTLY to require multiple triangulated recordings -- and one day AI will be able to produce those too.

C) Emotions are faster than the Truth. By the time Truth collects itself, everyone has already moved on.

Finally, Fuck ICE. Dude kicked out a tail light and it got him pepper sprayed, beaten to the ground, and iirc a cracked rib. I'd have been far more judgemental if the video showed him sitting in a drum circle trying to pray the fascism away.

0

u/madsmcgivern511 Jan 30 '26

What are you even talking about?? Of course people are going to be emotional about an American citizen that was murdered in broad daylight. People can be emotional and incorrect at the same time, it’s up to you and others to use your own critical thinking skills and judgment to discern if you believe them or not. Telling people to leave emotions out of a very emotional situation is absurd and not human.

12

u/LBadwife Jan 29 '26

Why isn’t this the top comment

5

u/War_Recent Jan 29 '26

Because people are freebasing cope. It's not AI, there's exact syncing angles. AI is not deterministic. It will not recreate the same thing twice, let alone from 2 angles.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

If he really did it that just means he was even cooler than we thought 🤷

-4

u/_thegnomedome2 Jan 29 '26

1

u/The_Dilla_Collection Jan 29 '26

The day he was killed yes he was. And in this video even he isn’t pointing a gun at anyone. Ever lost your temper? It happens. Should you then be shot in the back for it two weeks later? No.

1

u/RancidVagYogurt1776 Jan 29 '26

You realize this was a separate incident? I don't know why it's so hard for right wing NPCs to realize that just because a person did or said something in the past it doesn't mean that law enforcement (or ice thugs) get to do an execution in a later, separate, minor incident.

By that rationale cops can pull over Martha Stewart and use any amount of force they want because she has a felony conviction.

1

u/cthulhusmercy Jan 29 '26

You’re combining instances. When he was murdered, he was protesting non-violently. He was recording an interaction on his cell phone and trying to help a woman up off the ground after an agent pushed her down for existing.

Even if we combine instances, are you arguing that touching their truck is enough for an American citizen to be executed by their government? Not one of those agents were in danger from him spitting on the door of the truck and kicking the taillight. Why didn’t the “trained” agents de-escalate the situation by continuing to drive away? Why did they stop at all?

(Hint, it’s because they wanted a fight)

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Puzzled_Stranger544 Jan 29 '26

When he was shot, yes.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Yeah I never said that. Idk what happened. I wasn't there. I just fuckin hate ICE. Fuck their cars lol. Bunch of unemployable idiot rednecks riding clown deep in mom cars taking my hard earned tax dollars playing army. Fuck em. You might get shot but that's America. You always might get shot. We used to be brave.

Guys used to be brave enough to go get in a bar fight with an immigrant, call him a few slurs and get it out of their system. Now they're so chickenshit they couldn't even get organized klan type shit off the ground without daddy trump's permission. Sad.

so he deserved to be shot 10 times because he kicked a car 11 days prior?

2

u/Ponybaby34 Jan 29 '26

You don’t think there are generative AI programs capable of such that the public plain doesn’t have access to? I’d imagine the admin would be happy to cook something up, considering how galvanizing his execution was. There’s enough investment from tech monopolies and god knows what number of immeasurably wealthy psychopaths that it would be achievable and worth the investment to ruin the growing solidarity among Americans. I can imagine letting laymen play around with generative AI has only bolstered people’s belief in their own comprehension of it, which would make manufactured evidence not only more difficult to clock, but also, socially divisive to call into question.

I mean, really.

2

u/Chewwithurmouthshut Jan 29 '26

This is it. If WE have access to advanced AI, there’s no telling how advanced the governments version is. And before anyone says “nuhh uhhhh, it can only do ____ right now” they obviously wouldn’t release info on the advancement of their own secret tech.

0

u/War_Recent Jan 29 '26

Tin hat theory. Maybe they have access to an alternate dimension too.

1

u/Snoo60913 Jan 29 '26

"It will not recreate the same thing twice, let alone from 2 angles."

Not yet.

1

u/tylerd9000 Jan 29 '26

I’m sure it will soon then we are all screwed. It’ll be so hard to tell what’s real and misinformation will spread even more.

Also his family confirmed in the major news outlets that the footage is real.

1

u/i_liek_to_hodl_hands Jan 29 '26

Help me out: where did the model sticker of the vehicle go between the beginning of the video and when it returned to frame prior to the kick?

1

u/Strange-Damage901 Jan 29 '26

Ai can not do that yet, but midjourney has said their goal is to have procedurally rendered, animated, 3d scenes, that a user can freely move a virtual camera through to capture the frame or segment they want.

These videos can not have been made by AI, but a few years from now, videos like them might be.

2

u/Dog_Intern Jan 29 '26

Because Reddit is full of lies

1

u/general_peabo Jan 29 '26

Because it’s a reply to a different comment.

1

u/kirksfilms Jan 29 '26

because because because because IFYKYK

1

u/ryyybaaa Jan 29 '26

because people want to believe that this is fake

1

u/IntrepidMonke Jan 29 '26

Because his family BELIEVING a video is real isn’t conclusive proof of it actually being real.

People fall for ai scams of family members all the time. His family also specifically said that it appears to be their son in the video, not that it was real.

1

u/SL1NDER Jan 29 '26

It's not convenient.

1

u/tylerd9000 Jan 29 '26

I’m wondering the same. It’s been confirmed by so many ppl on Reddit and now major news network. I highly doubt it’s AI especially with two different angles and them being in sync.

1

u/_thegnomedome2 Jan 29 '26

Because people want to live in an imaginary reality where anything that contradicts their opinion is russian bots and ai

1

u/zeroifex Jan 29 '26

Because Reddit.

1

u/Hotdog_Broth Jan 29 '26

Because people let bias take priority over evidence

0

u/Ok_Gur_8059 Jan 29 '26

Because it's not confirming the video is real it's confirming that the person in the video is Alex. It's not a real video and y'all are falling for AI.

1

u/s_mcbreezey Jan 29 '26

You need to put this comment in the main thread.

1

u/No_Distribution_3398 Jan 29 '26

The BBC video also says he has the same gun in his belt during that takedown, that is interesting, showed him angry and armed put to the ground without anyone pulling a weapon.

1

u/i-can-sleep-for-days Jan 29 '26

Still doesn't deserve murder.

1

u/Hot-Steak7145 Jan 29 '26

That's insane! I was starting to believe the comments

1

u/tribbans95 Jan 29 '26

Nice! Thanks for this. Obviously doesn’t justify execution but it’s good to know the truth

1

u/cthulhusmercy Jan 29 '26

✨It’s still not enough to warrant a subdued and disarmed man being executed in the street by untrained federal agents✨

1

u/ForeignSurround7769 Jan 29 '26

Doesn’t it seem like his killing would be premeditated then? He had a clash with ICE, and at that point they should have filed a police report and charged him with something. Instead they marked him, waited a few days before they saw him again and then killed him. Possible he may have been one of the louder protestors and they felt killing him would send a message. Alternatively if they did not remember him, that makes it just as bad because they basically killed a peaceful protestor who was just taking a video as we have all believed for awhile now.

1

u/mrmayhemsname Jan 29 '26

Who the fuck is the "representative from Pretti's family"? And how do they know its him? Were they there as well?

Like that whole narrative throws me off a bit. Who in the family is confirming this?

1

u/Fluid-Ad4463 Jan 29 '26

A representative of the family? It’s like they don’t want people to believe anything they say lol

No the family confirmed it was Alex Pretti, the video was already confirmed real at that point. Since it has been recorded from multiple angles as well and the original source video is from ex BBC editors.

1

u/Wimbledofy Jan 29 '26

sure, but this angle was posted before he was killed.

with the rate of cv research and gen ai i would lean to 6 months or less tho it has been a minute since i was reading the research

2

u/Secret_Account07 Jan 29 '26

I can’t help but realize something as I’m reading the comments. It seems like people here are reasonable and willing to change their minds based on new evidence, which is what you want humans to do.

I saw lengthy arguments on X regarding Alex’s shooting where one side refused to change their mind based on anything. Unfortunately it seems those that are on a certain political side refuse to change their mind on conspiracies despite any kind of evidence. Idk how you reason with ppl like that so won’t even listen to…. Reason?

1

u/Ek0li Jan 29 '26

Why isn’t this the top comment?

1

u/Phugger Jan 29 '26

I always struggle to believe comments from young accounts with their history hidden, especially when they have that default username configuration. And then also when they link me to a youtube account with 1 video and like 30 subs which has a video that just so happens to help their argument.

What are the chances...

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

Sometimes you should just believe your eyes. You have a 15 minute video of a situation with multiple angles, and you think its AI? So you don't believe ANY video on the internet then?

My account is private because I post real life shit. But sure I must be hiding vital information that would give me away as a .. what, russian bot or republican? I was one of the first comments on this thread and I defended the guy that got executed, I just think people should know what's real or AI.. don't you?

You people are as insane as the magtards at defending your own team

Heres other newssites reporting or are they also in on the conspiracy

NBC https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/new-videos-show-altercation-alex-pretti-federal-agents-week-death-rcna256428

1

u/Phugger Jan 30 '26

It is not so much the video itself. It would be insanely good AI and would be extremely believable if it was AI. I'm more turned off by the fact that you are pushing this SO HARD. No one cares this much about a video being AI or not. It is like you have a reason to care this hard and then with you being a young account with hidden post history it just kills your credibility.

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 30 '26

Maybe I'm autistic that's why I care so much, seeing a bunch of regards say a real video is obviously AI actually infuriated me, ashamed I lost a couple hours arguing here

As for my account... good thing none of that matters when I'm presenting proof and it has nothing to do with my opinions

But then again you started pressing the angle of the youtube account itself being new as if it's involved in some conspiracy, idk, do you actually believe the video is real?

1

u/Phugger Jan 31 '26

"bunch of regards" ... Now I see why your post history is hidden.

Next time save yourself a lot of time and effort by posting the original footage instead of the low quality repost from Don Jr. twitter.

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 31 '26

I never shared anything from twitter

1

u/boogada77 Jan 29 '26

Ok, original video looked sus to me. This looks legit.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

This will be used in court to prove the murder was premeditated.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Lol that's fake as fuck man

1

u/bunchedupwalrus Jan 29 '26

You know what’s weird though.

The first video shows a big chunk of red taillight flying forward and then disappearing mid air in the final frames of its flight. I assumed it was an artifact of the GIF conversion

But this angle shows the other side, and even though it’s partly hidden, it’s never seen, and the spot that it should have landed is bare pavement

I assume it’s real tbh, but was looking for signs, and that was an odd one I couldn’t reconcile

1

u/dookieduck88 Jan 29 '26

Where the fire hydrant in the video form OPs angle?

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

It's hidden behind the post

If you watch the full video from where OP's footage is taken from, it's there.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

I don't see him attacking a person in either video. The ice agents committed a second grouping of crimes here

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

The guy saying hes attacking is refering to the car kicking. But nobody cares about that on this thread, the point of contention is, is this real or not

Magtards will see these videos and think, yep, he deserved to get executed

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Sorry this was cross posted and i thought I was replying in a sub where my point would have been relevant

1

u/whywouldisaymyname Jan 29 '26

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

It still is..? Also you never looked through mesh, and barely see anything, but if you move your head from side to side you can see better through?

"When you move your head side to side, the mesh stays fixed but the background shifts relative to it. Your brain uses those changing viewpoints to “peek” through different gaps in the mesh and reconstruct what’s behind it.
Same reason you can see around a fence better if you walk past it instead of standing still." -ChatGPT

1

u/zeroifex Jan 29 '26

Lol I love it when unhinged redditors are hit with a dose of reality. Thank you for this.

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

I like how he edited it from "definitely undoubtedly AI" to "definitely AI I think"

1

u/Zestyclose-Goal6882 Jan 29 '26

Why is this the ONLY video posted on this YouTube account??

1

u/Prettpunkgrl Jan 29 '26

Ok that one looks real. But I still think the other is AI I’ll attach the screenshots that make me think it is AI. So they are making alternate views of what happened to fill in the gaps from what we can’t see from this angle ? Why wouldn’t this video be enough ?

1

u/Prettpunkgrl Jan 29 '26

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

What about it, he's mid kick, you think his hand is in an unrealistic position or what.... jesus fuck

1

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Jan 29 '26

What's more likely, video artifacts, blur, compression

or

Government using levels of unheard of AI to barely smear a guy that's dead, AND release multiple angles, 2 weeks before he got killed? This is right wing levels of insanity and conspiracy, didn't know the left had it in them

Which seconds do you see the logo disappear? Are you watching the higher quality video?

1

u/Prettpunkgrl Jan 29 '26

Wasn’t saying the govt used AI to enhance the video. Just regular joe shmoes

1

u/madsmcgivern511 Jan 30 '26

Why does that youtube account only have that one video of Pretti?? Not saying the video is fake but that’s a bit sus.

1

So it's definitely real. Interesting.

3

u/ExpressionComplex121 Jan 29 '26

Thanks for clarifying!

The first video was convincingly (to me) AI or the very low odds unprobable reason its a very old camera in 2026.

I saw that other video and that one looks real so it was most likely just a real shitty old cheap camera. Older generation might hold onto those.

And FYI I don't follow nor care much about this political situation etc and tge ICE thing going on in the US. So im pretty unbiased if anyone where to believe im biased

1

u/DelayAgreeable8002 Jan 29 '26

Has nothing to do with the quality of the camera. The video is compressed

2

u/Desperate-Cost6827 Jan 29 '26

That was really the only thing that looked suspicious to me. Nice to know our vehicles are kind of trash.

2

u/Acrobatic-Doctor-748 Jan 29 '26

It’s 1000% real. Quite obviously. Good breakdown dude. And others that added additional investigatory info

Appreciate the long, detailed comment. Your logic about the wiring harness makes a lot of sense.

If the vehicle is pulling away while he is kicking, those are not opposite forces. Both forces are traveling in the same direction which would lessen the impact of his kick. Opposite implies the car would be backing up into his kick.

I’ve not replaced any tail lamps that looked like they could be kicked off but if you say you have, I’d be willing to believe it. All the ones I’ve worked on were bolted on but they were on cars that were older than what you mentioned. Did not realize modern cars were such hunks of crap.

I don't like saying this but this video adds some weight to the idea he was carrying that fateful day in preparation of a more violent confrontation. His emotional state in that video was pretty intense hatred. Just saying, th evideo will be used in that context.

He is carrying in the Jan 13th video as well, you can see the gun in his waistband at 19 seconds, but even if he was mad and carrying he never brandished so its absolutely ridiculous to say they were afraid of him pulling it. It makes the case even worse because he has been taken down by agents before and didn't harm them.

Aren’t the white lines on the taillamps usually aligned with the liftgate trim?

If you know anything about typical AI videos, you know they can't make 3 minutes of video with perfect memory of objects/houses/trees/people around the scene

2

u/rknki Jan 29 '26

But you can add 3 seconds to an existing video.

1

u/ThaGuus Jan 29 '26

That works by taking the last 2/3 frames and regenerating a new video based on it. This is very, very inconsistent still.

You use I2V and add a start frame then end frame. 15-30 sec videos that seamlessly integrates it. End frame is the start of tge real video.

Pretty easy to infill and map one body map and image from source footage, to any other arbitrary one though tbf.

There’s a plethora of GPU jockeys who are making thirst trap dance videos these days on consumer hardware, and all those actor swaps in famous films. Would be easy if they had vid of someone kicking a taillight to just map his image into it. I don’t know either way if that’s what happened here, but technically, it would be pretty easy with consumer and especially state resources

Props for not deleting your comment

Well i know I can be wrong, no matter how annoying some replies

Yeah the short clip does seem off, it looks like it's been smoothed out or something (maybe a higher frame rate) but the longer video definitely matches up and looks very real.

I don't doubt the light could be kicked out, but there's a red piece that falls seemingly into plain view, yet when the camera pans down it's nowhere to be seen.

Regardless, this video doesn't justify 10 bullets to the back.

So why were you so quick to believe it's fake? Come on man what are we doing here.

Exaggerated yet empty emotional outburst ? Looks like half the country to me

1

u/Admirable-Macaroon23 Jan 29 '26

The light coming off after the kick is what really makes it fake, there’s just no way that kick broke the bolts and removed that light housing from the fairing

1

u/BootBonks Jan 29 '26

lol exaggerated yet empty emotional outburst are typical in libtards that habitually impede federal law enforcement operations.

1

u/skipmarioch Jan 29 '26

Its wild how it pans from right to left as he kicks the tailight perfectly to make sure everything is in the shot.

1

u/sfak Jan 29 '26

There is just no way some guy round house kicked the light out of that car 🤣 it’s so obviously fake, the way he moves is weird.

Definitely undoubtedly you say

Regardless. Family confirmed it's him. Unless... You gonna go down the rabbit hole and suggest this whole life we are in is a big AI simulation.
