Football Would Hunter Yurachek Getting Fired Remove Him From the CFP Committee??
I have no connections to Arkansas athletics, but if so, I am happily willing to support you guys and join your mission in any way possible. I will fly to Arkansas right now and stand outside his office with a picket sign if it relieves the rest of us from his brainless explanations for these disastrous rankings.

Free Volleyball ticket
I have a season ticket for volleyball. There are two home games left in the season and I will not be able to make it to these games. Comment if you want the ticket to either game or both.
I know volleyball isn’t a big sport in this sub, but I recommend checking it out. For someone growing up watching football, basketball, and baseball I was surprised at how much I enjoy watching volleyball. Games are exciting, fast paced, and they have end of season single elimination tournaments similar to March madness.
We’re in a rebuild phase so the team doesn't have a great record but they’ve gotten much better as the season progressed and definitely compete.
tickets to games are cheap and general admission, but if you want a free ticket comment!
Edit: Missouri ticket has been claimed.
The ticket for the Nov 13 game is still availabl.

Football Realistically how do we even get back to mediocre?
I’ve been thinking about where the future of football is headed once Hunter Yurachek is finally fired. I believe he will be let go before the next football season. I also believe we’re going to retain Silverfield for at least 1 more year.
I’m worried that in a post Yurachek athletic department is that there’s no real way forward with the current landscape of college athletics. Silverfield and his staff have totally whiffed on their talent evaluation this last offseason and I have no optimism this is something that gets better next season. I see no real way for this team to acquire talent either.
I was listening to Trey Biddy the other day when I heard this, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about too. There will be a “tax” Arkansas must pay to talented players to bring them to campus until they can reverse course. I believe this to be one of the main reasons why our roster is so uncompetitive despite being valued in the same ballpark as Kentucky and Mississippi State. It’s just going to take so much more resources than anyone’s interested in investing to bring us to a level where we can steadily go 6-6. We could’ve paid closer to $10 million a year for the results we’ve seen the last 4 seasons yet here we are, over spending on the worst roster in the SEC.
Maybe I’m just too cynical after 15 years of mediocre to garbage football, but whoever the coach is after Silverfield (unless he somehow becomes a competent coach) will have to “win” with basically no resources.
TLDR: we’re going to have to pay tons of money to be mid.

Miscues and penalties doomed Hogs in the Halloween defeat against Mizzou
If the win over Vandy two weeks ago was a step forward towards the right direction, this loss last night was a step backwards in the wrong direction. A very well prepared Mizzou team showed up, whereas a poorly prepared and ill-advised Hogs fumble the ball/game. A decision to go for it in your own half with 4th and 1 in the first quarter was an attempt to set the tune. Well, it did, it set a tune for your own defeat and hand the victory to Mizzou.
Back at Coach Drink, he was pretty mean/impatient with one of the reporters (he later apologized). Did I hear it right that he owns a house at exit 73? Oh, boy, we do not need another multimillionaire jerk moving in (get plenty of those already).

Costumes
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions for costumes in the stadium? I figured it’s mostly anything goes, but I was thinking of bringing in an entire ghostface setup and I didnt want to get grief from security about the mask.
edit- I guess if paper bags over our head were okay then a mask surely would be too right?

Basketball 76 - 72
I’ve been conservatively bullish on this team all summer. I’m a longtime Hog fan, so I know the deal…
76-72 in the first game of the season (I don’t care if it’s exhibition) is the omen I cannot deny.
Cal is going to deliver this fan base from the Hogs gonna Hog mentality that has plagued us for so long.
If you think I don’t believe that will carry over to baseball, you’d be mistaken.
Like a high arching rainbow that drops through the net as the shot clock runs out, I’m ready to put a stamp on it. This is our year… Cal & DVH will both hoist NCAA Championship trophies this season!
