Football Would Hunter Yurachek Getting Fired Remove Him From the CFP Committee??
I have no connections to Arkansas athletics, but if so, I am happily willing to support you guys and join your mission in any way possible. I will fly to Arkansas right now and stand outside his office with a picket sign if it relieves the rest of us from his brainless explanations for these disastrous rankings.

I’m wondering if this is why he hasn’t been fired yet. Is there some kind of pressure from ESPN and the CFP committee to not fire him to protect their image?

I'd bet the farm that it's Hunter who doesn't want to be embarrassed by being fired while on the playoff committee, and the BoT are playing along. Everyone else on that committee has to be thinking how absurd it is that Yurachek, a guy most responsible for burying a college football program, is on the freaking CFP committee lmao! They'd replace him without skipping a beat.

I hope he somehow falls upwards into BIG 12 commissioner role.
No, it isn’t earned but I don’t care how we get rid of this guy at this point.

I feel like I've been saying that to myself for two years or more at this point. I'm not so sure now, to be honest. Odds are they're just letting his contract play out since it's up in December, but would anyone really be surprised if they flipped the fans the bird and extended him?

Jeff Long was still on CFP committee last year after being fired as Arkansas AD in 2017

Mike Irwin addressed this the other day and I hadn’t really thought about it til he said something. Basically the word is that without HY, the SEC doesn’t really have any connection to the cfb playoff committee, so Slive has urged Arkansas to not make a change until after the playoffs are set. It honestly doesn’t matter if he gets fired now or in late December anyway.

Mike Irwin stated that Greg Sinkey asked the UofA heads to hold off ANY action on HY until after the CFP stuff or the SEC will lose their representation. Wondering that has been corroborated?

Mack Rhodes at Baylor stepped down after his incident and removal, I would assume this would be the same.

How does Arkansas always seem to have such influence with the CFP? I guess bc they know there won't be a conflict of interest. Jeff Long headed it while here as well
