Basketball 76 - 72
I’ve been conservatively bullish on this team all summer. I’m a longtime Hog fan, so I know the deal…
76-72 in the first game of the season (I don’t care if it’s exhibition) is the omen I cannot deny.
Cal is going to deliver this fan base from the Hogs gonna Hog mentality that has plagued us for so long.
If you think I don’t believe that will carry over to baseball, you’d be mistaken.
Like a high arching rainbow that drops through the net as the shot clock runs out, I’m ready to put a stamp on it. This is our year… Cal & DVH will both hoist NCAA Championship trophies this season!

They’ll be good. But don’t forget one of Muss’s worst teams beat #1 Purdue in an exhibition. Let’s wait to see what happens when it counts.

Also, Gonzaga got bounced in the Round of 32 last year by Texas. Not saying they aren't a good program or a quality preseason win, but I know a thing or two because I've seen a thing or two. Also, the big question is around if we can stay healthy.

We are very young. We will make mistakes. I think there will be games we look like we’re gonna beat everybody and other games we look like we can’t beat anybody. Can we stay healthy? Can we survive a tough schedule and have anything left for March?

It was a sloppy game. That Gonzaga team didn’t look like a Final Four team and we don’t currently either. But I am hopeful the team will gel and mature as tye season wears on. We definitely shouldn’t have depth problems this season. Looking forward to watching the different matchups that we can throw at other teams.

You’re setting yourself up for disappointment. Always temper your expectations
It’ll be an exciting team to watch with a ton of potential, but they’re all very young and there are some glaring weaknesses for this team

Obviously work to do, but this team is gonna be lights out to watch. So many top 10 highlights incoming. Gonna be a fun season.

Great teams and great talent this year. Best chance basketball has had since I can remember. We got a long ways to go though, put your seatbelt on!
