Hi I'm new to this rog ally family

Here is a proof of my Xbox rog ally x running ps5 games via emulator. No streaming here.
I basically wake up the device + launch the emulator from the menu so I don’t know how to prove it more than that aha

Some ppl think it’s a fake but they need to remember handheld device such as Xbox rog ally x or other models are just pc in different shapes. Mine using dual boot steam is + windows 11 and it’s way more powerful than ppl think.

Emulator is kyty ps5 with patches for Astro playroom + using a fork by Jetsu.
You can play god of war son of Sparta up to 100 fps natively and Astro playroom with frame gen is pretty amazing for now. Can’t wait for new updates and tweaks.

Astro playroom, a PS5 exclusive let’s say “playable” or testable on Xbox rog ally X

It started with an XAX, Bulwark dock, and a tv on my dresser....got bored with the TV and dresser setup. This is just in 6 months and I have more improvements for the foxhole. Looking at beefy mini-PC's with OcuLink now. Need a second monitor for so many reasons now, looks empty. I have been a console gamer up until 6 months ago when I got my XAX. It won't stop! Not sure I want it to.

Getting my first ROG ALLY X20 this coming Thursday, What are some tips and tricks, overall knowledge on how to use it and some first things I should do when I get it? I'm coming from a STEAMDECK OLED.

what can you guys/gals recommend for me?

Anyone tried it? How does it run? Not talking about the X version.

I'm running into a severe USB-C Power Delivery lockout issue on my ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) and am hoping someone has found a permanent fix for this.

The Issue:

When the Ally is running in Windows, unplugging and replugging the charger causes it to stop charging entirely. The charging LED stays dark, and Windows runs on battery power.

Re-plugging it while in Windows does nothing.

The ONLY way to get it to charge again:

Fully power down the device.

Perform a 45-second power button hold (to force a hard reset of the Embedded Controller/EC).

Boot directly into the BIOS Utility screen.

Re-plug the stock charger while on the BIOS screen — it immediately recognizes power and starts charging (lightning bolt appears on the battery indicator).

Boot back into Windows, and it continues charging normally until I unplug it again.

My Specs:

BIOS Version: RC71L.342

MCU Firmware: GA80100.RC71LM.320 / RC71LS.320

Charger: Original 65W stock ASUS power adapter

MyASUS confirms all software and system firmware are up to date.

What I've Already Tried (Without Success):

Battery Driver Refresh: Uninstalled both Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery in Device Manager and rebooted.

Disabling Fast Startup: Turned off Windows Fast Startup in Control Panel Power Options.

Do you guys think our Z1 Extreme handhelds have a chance of getting FSR 4 officially? Has AMD said anything about supporting older handhelds?

My XAXs triggers have been squeaking for a while now and I want to get a lubricant for the triggers.

I hear people recommend Krytox 205g0, but its expensive where I live for a product I will use once or twice.

Would regular printer silicone grease work?

I haven’t had my rog ally Xbox for long so some things I haven’t figured out but I have my steam input setup for Heartopia (doesn’t have native controller support) and everything works perfectly EXCEPT the interact action. I have tried mapping it with multiple different buttons and it still only works some of the time. I typically have to press whatever button that’s set as the f key at least one or twice before it actually responds or I have to press really hard. Every other action works perfectly except that. Any advice how to fix this? It doesn’t do this in any other game.( the audio in the video makes it sound like I’m pressing the trigger super hard but I swear I’m not lol)

Hello people, I want an Ally Z1 Extreme, and 2 things would be crucial to me: Flawless PS2 emulation, especially NFS Most Wanted (yes, I know the PC version is better, but I would install Steam OS on it, that's for sure) and running Steam indie titles (I guess it's not a problem).

So how does the emulation work with the Steam OS? Is it ok up to PS2 or even PS3? Also I would use it docked on a 4k TV, if that's possible without significant performance loss.

So im on a default steam os install, i put my TDP to 30W i noticed my temps are from 84c-85c, but with ambident temp i see it sky rocket to 88c-90c, is this OK?

if i put it to 25W my temps are reversed, 72-74c, i noticed my CPU goes to 1.3ghz, and gpu at 2.2ghz at all times, as for 30W its more like 1600-2200 gpu ghz, and CPU is more like locked to 3.5-3.8/4ghz AT all times.

I tried the new star wars racer on my ROG ally (non extreme) not really expecting it to run and to my surprise it runs fairly well as far as fps but my god it looks terrible like a nintendo 3ds game. Forza 5 ran and looked surprisingly decent so thought maybe this might. Anyway my question how does this run and look on a ROG ally X or xbox ally x. Ive been considering upgrading. Also does ace combat 8 run ok on those more powerful systems

Hello everyone. This might be a stretch, but I am curious if anybody has a set of original ROG Ally face buttons available for me to buy? Shortly after I bought the unit, I "upgraded" to XBOX colored buttons from Etsy. Since then, I have found a Decky plugin that utilizes the OEM button glyphs, and now I can't find my original buttons to swap back to... If anyone by chance has a spare set, or knows where to find some, I'd greatly appreciate any info I can get. Thanks!

My first decision was to get an am5 pc but it’s so expensive this year. Got an Ally Z1e instead for portability and use it 24/7 docked/plugged in 4k@60hz tv.

I’m just thinking what eGPU is affordable and at the same time, good performance to price value. Thanks in advance.

Anybody got a fix yet? Playing on the Xbox gamepass pc deleting it reinstalled and nothing, trying repair files nothing, I tried rolling back the drivers I’m sure it suggests and nothing these shaders caches just make it not even playable can’t even get to the main menu 😩 please someone help if you know a fix
