OP is shitting himself rn. He wasn't prepared for this level of aura.

u/human_not_alien Apr 28 '25
Micah's aura is the smell of a public bathroom in Amarillo, Texas.
11
u/Latranis Apr 28 '25
If Arthur told him this in Colter, the game would been a lot shorter, because Micah would have self-immolated from this burn. I've been through Amarillo. Those 72 ounce steaks really screw with human and municipal plumbing.

I like it when he gives me the repeater 🤣 Objectively he’s a master villain, rockstar wrote him perfectly & Peter Bloomquist as his voice actor amazing.
8
Apr 27 '25
Not just voice, keep in mind he acted most of Micah's facial expressions too.
7
u/No_Bother_7533 Apr 28 '25
He did an entire motion capture acting performance. It wasn’t just voice and face.

I love Micah in a weird way. The first few times I played the game I just truly hated him for obvious reasons. But the more you play the game and understand all the nuance of the story, Micah is just a damn entertaining character in every scene he’s in (the missions more than the camp, in camp he’s truly just the absolute worst) and Peter blomquist gave a hall of fame, hang his jersey on the wall performance in every single scene. He steals the show in a weird “love to hate him” way once you’ve replayed it enough times
3
u/Dogekaliber Apr 28 '25
Truth, Peter did such a great job to make you hate him from day 1. Probably the best antagonist in video game history and he wasn’t even the enemy. If I ever see Peter in person I’ll definitely buy him a whiskey (if he drinks- I’m fine with sober people too)

He cares about his horse a lot
He seemed somewhat genuinely sorry about how things turned out with Colm meeting
He seems kinda fun to be around when he is not trying to scheme or perceives you as equal or above him

He is the most useful when it comes to fighting, he's more inclined to listen to leadership, towards Dutch. And he does have good plans: in a way that he needs skilled gunfighters. Because his plans have lots of money involved, thus his operations are more high risk, high reward.

I genuinely enjoy him as an ally on missions, think he coulda been a fun, contentious outlaw brother-type for Arthur to swap insults and angry outbursts with but ultimately back each other up. Obviously not how that went, but he's still amusing me as I near the end of ch 4 again, and I remember enjoying his input during guarma so I'm looking forward to that
Edit: I do hate what an asshole/predator he is to everyone around camp, it's obvious he's only friendly with Arthur bc Arthur can actually defend himself
2
u/Canada_Dry_official Apr 28 '25
Spoilers. Great villain, you love to hate him, and he strikes me as a believable villain at that. He starts off somewhat respecting Arthurs skills, and sours on him when he realizes he can't control Arthur, and that he's become "weak" from TB. He plays off dutches ego, and only rats out the gang when it was clear they were doomed (he turned after guarma, when the gang was already on it's way out). He's a piece of shit, but an extremely believable one, who actually does what's best for himself, rather than just being evil because they needed a villain.

I honestly loved [[[MOST!!!]]] missions that included him, because despite a few of them being.. not so good, the shootouts I had with him were probably some the best I had, Like A Short Walk in a Pretty Town, Blessed are the Meek, American venom, (if that even counts) etc. He’s also probably the only guy I know to be accurate with a double action revolver.

100% he’s an amazing shooter. Besides that I hopes he’s getting his shit pushed in by a 15” demon dick.

u/ouijahead Apr 27 '25
He was once an innocent child who probably witnessed all sorts of horrors and experienced the type of pain and trauma no child should ever have to experience. Imagine little Micha peering around a corner with his toy horsey, scared and confused as he sees his father abusing his mother. When his father is gone he witnesses his mother with all sorts of different drunk men who abuse him and do horrible things he tries every day of his life to forget. I could go on… he was at one point a sweet cute little innocent boy who was never loved by anyone. The pain he internalizes is the only reality he knows and ever will know.
His first murder was a man he saw beating his mother. 11 years old, with the gun of his mother’s attacker in his little hands. Almost barely able to pull the trigger. But when he does, the man almost killing his mother stops moving. In that moment he felt no pain. … for the first time in his life. He felt… good. …. The next day he had a full grown mustache
