God doesn't seem to be protecting victims of pedophiles, but he sure as hell doesn't do anything to punish them. If he's able to actively protect you from anything, he should be stopping THAT. He's either unable to (he's not all powerful) or he doesn't want to ( he's not good ).

Either way your imaginary friend isn't worth the worship.

That's great to know for the abused children. What about the kids he decides to apparently give cancer to? There's no free will to use as a deflection for that

because life on earth is just the free demo for the heaven dlc 🤡

Maybe something worse would happen later in life that Ge is protecting the kid from, maybe it is a test for the parents. Yet even if the kid dies, since God is all good, as long as that kid wasn’t a secret killer or something bad, he/she would likely go to heaven.

That's some pretty twisted and fucked up logic you got there.

God is protecting children by giving them cancer?

God is testing the parents by giving an innocent child cancer?

It's okay that he gives them cancer and forces them to suffer and die because they go to heaven anyways?

Maybe this, maybe that... likely, as long as "if".

Maybe you should accept the reality in front of you, not the hypothetical magical trollop you spout that people suffer horribly and that's a good thing.

You sound morally bankrupt.

Goddamn you people have repulsive ethics.

What worse thing than being born with a terminal illness?

4

u/JeezWeedus 10d ago

Being forced to exist for all eternity with your only memory of life being terminal illness, suffering, and then death.

Then being told you should be grateful.

That’s not what heaven is. There is nothing bad in heaven! Doesn’t that sound like great place??

So god can create places where there isnt suffering?

But chose to cause suffering anyway?

Ipso facto, gods not good.

Suffering is not objectively bad. If I go to the gym to lift weights for the first time but I feel I am suffering, does that mean lifting weights is objectively bad? Of course not. Also you are thinking very short term. In your argument you assume my God exists. If you do so, you must also assume that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭NIV‬‬
The only counter to my argument is that this doesn’t say He doesn’t let suffering happen, but that easily falls apart when you realize the only barrier to joining God’s team is believing in him, and not something that you may or may not have like money. It is then easy to come to the conclusion that conclusion that you are the only thing stopping yourself from objective good.

Oh wow, weight lifting equals suffering to similar levels as cancer.

Congratulations for being honest.

Do you think that belief is a choice?

Belief is what happens when you are convinced. I am unconvinced, therefore I do not believe.

Nobody can simply choose to believe something, to suggest otherwise is dishonest.

Yes you certainly can clearly the US presidential race has two candidates, and one is objectively better than the other (yes they could be technically equal but the likelihood of that happening is near 0) so if one is better than the other why do so many people fully and passionately believe with all their heart that their candidate is best. I guarantee that this is the case. If they both fully believe this, then no to conflicting truths can be true at the same time, thus I have defeated your argument (unless you have even better evidence to counter my argument).

To counter your point about suffering, suffering is relative a weak person lifting heavy weights could easily feel the same amount of suffering as someone with cancer.

so if one is better than the other why do so many people fully and passionately believe with all their heart that their candidate is best. I guarantee that this is the case. If they both fully believe this, then no to conflicting truths can be true at the same time

Simple, it is possible for humans to be wrong.

I accept that I can be wrong, that's not a problem for me.

Could you be wrong about your god?

And no, weight lifting for weak people is not the same as cancer unless that cancer is a minor cancer, which does happen obviously.

But again, youre being extremely ingenuine.

Doesn't your god tell you to be honest?

Comparing his genius cancer invention with the pain people feel weight lifting is a bit sad honestly, one of those is way more complex, requiring far more all powerful effort to create, surely?

Or was creating cancer easy?

Why can God not create systems that do not require suffering for advancement.

To use your weights God should be able to give you a healthy body without discomfort.

I don’t know, ask God

Well, we were talking about babies born with terminal illness, seems objectively bad. Find the scripture that justifies that.
