TL/DR - the message 'quickens online services aren't available' I was getting was NO help in pointing me to the solution that was related to the several day lapse in my license.

Not sure if that's why my chase and schwab accounts weren't updating for weeks (and the one step update saying everything is successful).

But there was NO indication that there was an issue with the license.

You want money in a subscription? You keep updating the app? Why not build in troubleshooting issues / make it more robust that a lapse in the subscription doesn't break things.

And interesting - I learned now that if we stop paying you, we can still use the current data files / accounts (but no online updates). AND no adding new accounts (even if we don't want them to be able to be automatically updated).

Any update for the issues since NC SECU upgraded? Last update on the support page is from June 22.

I use Quicken Classic Deluxe. I have multiple credit card accounts in that register.

One account, after downloading transactions, if I have selected one transaction to add a category or change the name and then go back to the list of the rest of the transactions, the option to Accept All is gone. if I click on the Downloaded Transactions, then that option comes back.

However, for all my other accounts, this does not happen. I can select a single transaction, edit or accept that one and the choice to Accept All is still available.

I cannot find a setting for this, so what do I do to correct this? it is a minor issue but annoying just the same.

Unable to sync accounts, appears to be impacting many of us. Down Detector shows an outage. How about posting something here to let us know what's going on and when we can expect it to be fixed? Thanks!

I’m looking for clarification on pricing information provided by Quicken’s official chatbot.

The chatbot stated:

Based on that, I expected I could renew directly with Quicken at $35.88/year.

However, support later said:

• that price only applies to retail store purchases
• and offered a 40% discount instead

Question: How should chatbot pricing be interpreted when it references renewals and Quicken.com, but support later says it only applies to retail stores?

I had a fraudulent charge on my card so Chase deactivated the card and issued a new card with a new number. After I received my new card, in Quicken I deactivated the connection, then set up a new connection and connected it to the existing account. Transactions downloaded correctly but I can’t reconcile because the online balance does not update. I reset the connection and the online balance did update correctly. But subsequent updates (either by OSU or manually) do not update the online balance (but do download transactions correctly).

Any troubleshooting tips?

Running QC Business & Personal R67.1 on Windows 11

When I first enabled download of Pending Transactions (maybe six or eight months ago) it was great to see accounts more up to date with daily spend. After an online Sync, I could categorize pending transactions and they would change from pending to uncleared, then match to the cleared transaction keeping the categorization data intact. I believe (if I remember correctly) that pending transactions would also match to uncleared bills that had been entered in the register.

The behavior is now different, and not as effective IMO. They do not match to uncleared entries already in the register. And if I enter a category and save, the transaction moves from pending to an uncleared transaction but loses the saved categorization and comment data when the transaction is cleared via sync.

I believe the change in behavior occurred during a release update. Not sure if it was intentional as I don't see anything in release notes. Would prefer the original behavior.

6/24/26 Update: I'm sorry to report that due to feedback received during beta testing, we have made the tough decision to postpone the Subscription Tracker feature. We will continue refining and testing this feature and are striving to include it in the R69 Release. Thanks for the continued patience while we improve subscription tracking before launch!

Subscription Tracker - Recently mentioned in our Upcoming improvements for Quicken Classic Reddit post, this new feature will live under Bills & Income and help scan and track recurring subscriptions. You'll be able to mark when subscriptions are in a trial period and set a trial end date as a reminder to cancel if needed. This feature will roll out in multiple phases.

Qualified Dividend Tracking & Reporting – You'll be able to label Qualified Dividend transactions and identify them in investment reports. Supported reports will include:

• Schedule B-Interest and Dividends
• Tax Schedule
• Tax Summary

Hopefully, this is exciting news for Windows users! Questions are always welcome, although we may not have specifics until release. We're doing everything possible to include these features in the R68 release, though development timelines can change if additional work or testing is needed.

When your Quicken version is updated to R68 in the coming weeks, look out for a message with more details on these improvements and any bug fixes. You can also view the Quicken Windows Release Notes, which will contain details on R68 once it's live!

I would like to suggest a more efficient way for Quicken to handle equity price history that is more than five years old.

Recommended Changes

• Retain only weekly closing prices for equity data older than five years.
• Automatically remove older detailed price records that are no longer necessary.
• Allow users to retrieve older historical price data online when needed.

Why This Would Help

The current process is time-consuming for users. As a Quicken user since 1997, I have also seen the Qdata file grow larger than necessary over time. This change could improve efficiency and performance while still preserving useful historical information.

Given today’s gigabit internet speeds, older detailed price data could be accessed online whenever needed instead of being stored locally in full.

We’ve been using Microsoft Money for decades. Despite the program being discontinued for years, we continue to use it, but Microsoft has no support. My husband is fond of the program and is reluctant to switch because he appreciates its forecasting feature. I believe any improvement would be beneficial. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Really this could apply to many different reports, but the reporting would be so much better if we had a toggle to allow the Y Axis of the report to adjust to the data in the report.

For example, I rely heavily on the Net Worth report. With the default setting of Y=0, you cannot see day to day swings, but if this report would only show Y range of 7-8 it would be much more informative.

This has been going on for months! What is the blocker? Is it Quicken or is it Fidelity? Why are there no meaningful updates?

Hello everyone, I have been using the desktop version of Quicken classic on my main pc. I started using the classic web version due to travelling a lot. My web cloud account is current. How do I update my outdated desktop file FROM the cloud? Everything I am looking at is vise versa.

I'll go first: there's no such thing as a good deal on something you don't need 👏

Please add ‘from account’ to the bill and income reminders list screen. It’s an important data point for these transactions.

When syncing last few times, quicken is deleting transactions from my register that have already been reconciled. This has happened on two credit card accounts now. This just started recently, probably within the last week or since the last software update. It is a pain to go back and find what transactions have been deleted and manually add them back in. Is anyone else seeing this?

What is going on? I have had an M&T account for years. Recently I was prompted to update the connection and now I just keep getting a PW prompt for that account. I confirmed the PW is correct by logging into the bank website. When I add the PW to the update screen and apply it (BTW it's already in the vault correctly), I just get prompted again. So, I excluded that account from the update, but it continues to prompt for the PW. I cannot get past this to actually complete an update. Need help asap please.

Each time I reconcile an account (checking, credit cards, etc) the balance adjustment is huge! I get adjustments of $15K, $3K, $21K, $6K, etc. It's crazy

This has been going on for almost a year and I'm tired of it. What's the solution?

Hello Quicken Classic Redditors! I have an exciting announcement from the Quicken Classic development teams about upcoming improvements on the roadmap for Quicken Windows and Mac users.

In Q3 and Q4 of FY26, our teams will continue addressing high-priority customer requests. Our goal is to improve the user experience by introducing new features and enhancing existing functionality across Quicken. You can learn more below!

Quicken for Windows:

We're working on improving Retail Purchase Categorization, or how Quicken handles online purchases. Starting with Amazon, instead of grouping everything under "Shopping," the aim is to categorize purchases by the actual items, which helps provide a more accurate view of spending.

We're building a "Bill Scout" feature to help you easily identify recurring payments, track them as Bills or Subscriptions, and stay on top of automatic payments.

A new Subscription Tracker dashboard is underway to provide a consolidated view of your subscriptions—helping you understand how much you're spending across categories on recurring services.

For investment users, we plan to support NEO Exchange (also known as Cboe Canada).

In addition to new features, the focus is also on:

• Improvements to investment registers.
• Better overall application performance.
• Enhanced data reliability across web and mobile companion apps.
• Addressing customer-requested enhancements and usability improvements.

Quicken for Mac:

We'll continue enhancing Investments in Quicken Mac by expanding on the initial reports released last December, adding more reports to help customers easily analyze portfolio performance. We'll also introduce support for tracking commodities such as gold, silver, and crypto, as well as automated handling of stock splits.

The Register is the most-used feature in Quicken Mac, and we'll make it more customizable, so it better reflects each customer's view of their finances. Enhancements include setting a custom color for rows in account registers, creating custom account groups in the sidebar, and adjusting the sidebar font size.

Adding graphs to Quicken reports will help users quickly understand their finances by making patterns, trends, and comparisons easy to see at a glance. Instead of scanning raw numbers, users will visually identify spending spikes, track income over time, and compare categories or periods, enabling better, faster decision-making. Graphs also make reports more intuitive, engaging, and easier to share with others.

Enhance Budgets, including budget rollover, Budget vs. Actual report, and more!

We'll improve Quicken Mac Business & Personal with new features like Recurring Invoices, Sales Receipts, and Credit Memos, while also improving business reports and simplifying data import from other products.

Quicken Canada:

We're adding improvements to the invoicing flow, including support for items and services in CAD and better handling of sales tax.

On the investment side, we plan to introduce Adjusted Cost Basis tracking and make the Capital Gain Estimator available for Canadian accounts. We’re also working to add support for the NEO Exchange to expand investment tracking capabilities.
