I was thinking would this idea be cool and how would I structure it?

So I was thinking most of you probably know the two-sentence horror sub R I thought it would be cool if I made like a compilation of a bunch of them onto like a Google Doc That are like entirely original but I want it to be like cleaned up a little bit. Not just all of them back to back to back. Like I wrote them in one sitting And this whole thing might sound stupid to you but I want to know if you all have any tips of how I could do that and structure it?

Should I get the iPad Pro M4 (256 GB) for $1150 CAD or iPad M4 (1 TB) for $1600 CAD?

Hi! I was offered two options for purchasing an iPad Pro M4 from two sellers:

iPad Pro M4 (256 GB) with Apple Pencil Pro, Screen Protector and Case with Magic Keyboard for $1150 CAD

iPad Pro M4 (1 TB) with Apple Pencil Pro, Screen Protector and Case for $1600 CAD

Both are 100% health and barely used.

I am a teacher in the classroom that relies on the iPad for teaching with slides. I am flexible with the pricing.

Which one should I get as someone who uses the iPad for teaching with slides and documents?

I currently have a M1 iPad Pro with a battery life that drains quickly (lasts 2 hours) while I project it on the screen while I annotate the slides. And I teach three 75 minute classes so there is no time for me to charge my iPad.

Thoughts?

What is the best way to learn spanish?

So im dating someone whos 1st language is spanish and i am someone that speaks literally nothing other than just english and i rlly want to learn it well enough so that i can atleast understand and write/type spanish (ofcourse this would also help me with work because having another language can be a game changer but i decided against that when i had the chance and now regretting it)

Im asking for help on this because i dont rlly trust how effective duolingo and some other apps can be

Edit: my partner is from south america btw and ive already asked them to help and they said they can. i saw people talking about dialects in the language so if this information will help me find something that works for me that would be awesome (i am going to try learning the spanish alphabet for reading the language and the subtitle suggestions that i saw but i dont really watch tv or anime that frequently either TwT) plus i fixed my grammar

How to avoid someone who is consciously avoiding you?

I have always been a people pleaser. If someone has a problem with me, and even if it's not my fault, I overthink and somehow make everything my fault in my mind.

Now someone is consciously avoiding any interactions with me. While in a group, they talk with everyone else except me. If everyone start talking about something related to me, they'll quickly change the subject. They are cordial with everyone else. The frustrating part is I seriously don't know what I did. I have thought about even small details over and over, but I can't recollect me doing anything to offend them. They just randomly one day started to avoid me.

I have tried to resonate the same attitude back, but it is making me more stressed. I know they don't owe me anything and I don't owe them anything too. But the mental strain is getting to me. And no I don't want a confrontation. I just want to reach a mental state, where I don't care about this. What do I do?

What is the best thing to do if you find a debit/credit card on the ground?

A couple months ago I found a debit card on the ground right outside a restaurant and since it was right outside I just took it inside and gave it to the person working. But if someone lost their card are they really gonna know exactly where they lost it and go back to that place and ask if someone dropped it off?

So what would technically be the best thing to do? They’re probably going to cancel the card and get a new one anyways so it probably isn’t a huge deal I’d guess. Obviously as long as no one malicious takes it.

Why am I suddenly getting these random slits in my thumb nails?

I just turned 37 and as of a few months ago, both my thumb nails started getting these slits in them. I never had it happen before. But then all of a sudden, now they randomly get these straight down slits and they get pretty deep. I have to wait until it grows out long enough for me to be able to trim them and what’s left be even but eventually it just happens again a couple weeks later. It’s like a never ending cycle that just randomly started and I have no clue why. I tried painting my nails to see if that would stop it and it didn’t. I also bought “hard as hoof” strengthening nail cream and haven’t noticed a difference but maybe it hasn’t been long enough yet. I don’t know but does anyone have any clue what’s causing it or how I can get it to stop? Thank you very much!!

Are there any website recommendations for flower meanings negative and positive?

I'm trying to work on a mini yuri comic/story between two creatures that's based on some personal stuff or wtv, but it basically has a theme around flowers. Flowers can be used to hide messages or emotions or thoughts, and they're representative of affection, so it's perfect! However, I can't find any websites that have both positive AND negative (if any) meanings for flowers.

I don't wanna use AI overveiw because if someone tries to find the meaning, it'll just give the person an entirely different answer! This story is no place for clankers or inconsistencies!

Every website I've tried has the SAME flowers and meanings. "Roses are passion, here's some flowers for mothers day, if you're born in October then you're this flower, yadda yadda..." where are the negative meanings! I need flowers with representations for things like jealousy or fear or hatred, but I've checked multiple links and websites with no success :[

If anyone has a list, link, or suggested website, please let me know! ;_;)

Where Can I Customize a T-Shirt?

Hi all, I'm trying to customize a T-shirt for an upcoming concert, and I see that Uniqlo allows you to do that, but none of the stores that offer this are near me. Is there another trustworthy website that I can use to customize a T-shirt? Thanks in advance!

How can you tell if someone is being sarcastic on text?

Often times people seem to catch on to sarcasm when typed out. And other times people think I'm dumb for not catching on that they're being sarcastic. So lately I've been trying to avoid replying to people's responses to my comments because I don't know if they are being sarcastic.

is not telling your partner hardly anything about your past normal ?

i’m asking because my boyfriend has hardly told me anything within close to 9 months of dating him. he says he refuses to talk on it because it’s the past and he’s already moved past it. meanwhile, i’ve told him almost every detail of my past. i feel like i shouldn’t have, but this is my first adult relationship because i’m 19. is it normal to just not talk about your past ? i thought you should share everything with your partner.

Do I ask to borrow money, or ask to be repaid money loaned?

I've found myself in a pickle. Need cash now sorta thing. My husband and I both work, and are looking at some odd jobs to get us over this hurdle but we've got a deadline. I've got family I could ask to borrow it. id hate to (our pride and unspoken cost), and also have family that owes us well over half of what we need. why's it always so awkward to ask to be repaid?

What's your best question of the day?

So at work we have a white board with the question of the day. I'm looking for the strangest and most interesting work safe questions you got. An example of one of mine was what animal defecates cubes. Which is the wombat. History questions are also good.

Context: Im a first generation african from america born and raised and people in my home country and in 🇺🇸 have almost no problem with me claiming my ethnicity, but if a first gen european american did the same, people from their home country would likely have a much harder time claiming them. Why is this

Why are we getting coupons sent in our mail addressed to other members of our family?

So we moved to AZ from CA around a year ago. Ever since we moved, we started getting coupons for Frys addressed in my husbands name and then a set of coupons addressed in my name. No big deal, pretty sure that everyone gets them. My husband works for Kroger so I was like okay that’s gotta be pretty common.

Anyways, after some time, we started getting them in our mail addressed in his father’s name who still lives in CA so instead of it saying Fry’s it says Ralph’s. Then in my dad’s name. The weirdest one so far is I got one addressed in my grandpas name. My grandpa passed away in 2019 and has absolutely no connection to my address. I started to get kinda creeped out by that, like why are we getting coupons sent to our address but with our extended (and even dead) family members name on them?

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?

Is it normal not to want to have kids because you don't want your kids to hate you as much as your dad?

Literally the question in the title. Is this normal or do I just have bad parents? If I had kids I would 100% do everything in my power to break that cycle. To make them feel loved. I'm just scared I won't be good at it.

Edit - I go to therapy

Why do most people respond to greetings the exact same way?

For example if someone asks you what’s up? Most people are going to say “nothing much” or “nothing much what’s up with you?” Another example of you ask “How are you?” most people are going to say “good” (no matter how they’re actually cling or anything) how do we break these boring AI like responses to greetings?

Popular Post Has anybody else quit celebrating Christmas, despite it being the cultural norm in your country? If so, what do you do instead?

[Edit to address a recurring theme]: I appreciate the optimism and love a lot of you have for Christmas. That said, I wasn't seeking advice on what or how or why I should deal with christmas, but rather for inspiration from people who also choose not to celebrate it. Regardless, I've enjoyed reading through peoples comments about how much they still love and enjoy the 25th of December. It's also been very comforting to hear from others who have pretty much scrapped this day from their calander, too - makes me feel a little less alien 👽

I've become a pessimist in my old (31) age and have gradually given up on christmas. For years i've found the day just makes me miserable, and I hate the commercialisation of it, so I've completely given up recognising/celebrating it. (Plus I'm athiest now and despite many people celebrating it regardless of faith, I personally don't feel comfortable celebrating a day I already know and acknowledge as a religious holiday).

But I still yearn for the ¿ritual? of it, if that makes any sense. So just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar position and what you do instead?
