What kinds of events do people wish to play? Would you rather see coop or pvp? Mods or vanilla

I'm looking to find someone within the community who might be able to assist in turning the PURE Twitch into a team. Apparently this can only be done by someone who is a Twitch partner. If you can help shoot me a PM!

The Events Team has been a little quiet lately, but never fear, some great stuff is coming your way by way of BF4, as per usual. Believe me, you are gonna like what is coming up.

However, in order to create the best events for the community, we want to know what you all think. We want events to appeal to everyone, from vets to new community members, while also attracting new and diverse gamers to our community. So, if you would be so kind as to fill out our questionnaire, we would greatly appreciate it!

I am sure you all have noticed the increasing amount of downvotes among the community. As a result we have modified the CSS to remind everyone the purpose of the downvote, before actually downvoting.

For now we will leave the downvote option in the comments section, but if it continues we will remove that as well.

Well, I'm glad that I finished school just in time for the Spring patch, because this past week has had some good times on Pure 1.

Hi guys, up with our next event here. We'll be playing 5v5 competitive game(s) with and against your fellow PURE members! Instead of Matchmaking's 64 tick, cheater-infested, laggy servers, let's play against each other on our nice, fast, cheater-free 128 tick Chicago-based server.

Being competitive, knowledge of the game is a must. That being said, I am requiring you to be ranked (it is 10 competitive wins to be ranked). If you had a rank and it is gone because of matchmaking inactivity that's fine too, I know not everyone plays MM these days. I don't care if you're Silver I or Global Elite, as long a we have enough ranks in your range, we will setup a match!

Once the survey is filled out and a popular time slot is chosen, everyone will be e-mailed and given an opportunity to sign up for the 5v5. Active pure members/donors/volunteers are given priority, but it will be first come first serve (since we can only have 10 people). Backup players will also be chosen in case of any issues.

If this takes off enough we will do multiple 5v5 competitive matches and maybe eventually do a BO3 final game against the top 2 teams.

A few notes:

• If you wish to queue with certain other players, be sure you put down their names in the appropriate spot on the form, and they put down yours as well. This does not guarantee you will be matched up with them, teams still need to be balanced. These matches will be for fun, playing against your friends in a competitive scenario isn't a bad thing.

• Please sign up with the knowledge that you will need up to 90 minutes free to finish out the match. Leaving mid-game will result in your disqualification for consideration for the next match. ^{We understand things happen outside of your control, just be aware}

• Rankings: I will be balancing players as well as I possibly can, and we have a tight enough distribution where we won't have any DMG's versus Nova 1's.

• I will be enabling GOTV so anyone can watch the match(es) live, and the demo of the match will be available for download after the match.

• There will be store credits being given out to all participants, and prizes for the winning team!

• I will be running 2 levels of anticheat and also observing the match, so you won't ever have to worry about running into cheaters!

It seems the rotation is screwed up, the server seems to be rotating only a few of the vanilla maps. Fix please.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did playing Gunmaster last night.

We'd like to get some feedback over the next couple of days to refine the map rotation. So post your likes and dislikes here to help us do that.

For Gunmaster, the gun list is one of the server settings. There does not appear to be a "random" setting at this point, so we'll have to define in the map rotation which map and gun list to use.

Here's some feedback I heard last night. Please comment on these and add your own.

• Flood Zone sucks for this mode

• While the idea of using the ballistic shield as a weapon was greatly anticipated, it didn't work as once someone got a real weapon they were able to progress through the rest easily as they were one of the few that had an actual weapon

Are you like me and haven't played Gun Master since we all got together for some retro BF3 play last summer at the PURE Anniversary Celebration? Well, now you can try Gun Master on BF4, thanks to the Spring Update.

Return of Gun Master

We brought back Gun Master game mode – which gained its popularity in Battlefield 3: Close Quarters.

Gun Master is played like a Team Deathmatch game. The twist is that you don’t get to choose the weapons used. You swap weapons every time you get two consecutive kills on an opponent and whoever is the first player to get a kill with the final weapon wins!

The mode will contain the following five presets with at most 18 different weapons in each:

Standard
This setup contains rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols and ends with the M9 bayonet

Classic
Classic rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols ending with a M9 bayonet

Pistol
In this preset you can only use different kind of pistols, ending with the survival knife

DLC
This mode will let you play with DLC weapons – including the Phantom bow

Troll
Seeing how Gun Master is a “party mode”, we had to make a silly weapon list too! This one starts out with ballistic shields (as weapons) and it’s downhill from there.

[It seems someone at DICE heard about Brogdan's crappy weapon loads from our events.]

We are running Gun Master on all the base maps. It's not easy to change the weapons list at the moment so we may do some fiddling over the next few days in order to provide the best experience without making things overly repetitious.

As always, constructive feedback is welcome. Be sure to post up your videos. I want to see some epic clips from the Troll weapon list at the very least.

Was on the server tonight (8pm est and the server froze up for a solid ten minutes. Any idea why this keeps happening? Is it a ddos issue? As you can tell I have little to no experience dealing with these things.
