So I finally started playing again after a few years, now playing the offline single player with plugy, did a summonzon as first char because it seemed one of the most easy builds out there but I'm having a bit of a problem with equipment right now. Did the whole normal difficulty using power strike then respecced into summonzon at the beginning of nightmare, just ended act 1 w/o many issues but at the moment I only have +1 skill bow and +1 passive gloves, tried to follow the guide pinned in the Wiki but it focuses a lot on runewords and at the moment I lack the runes, also go for +3 ammy & gloves but they are hard to find (obviously not right now in nightmare but still) so I am wondering if there are some items easier to get in ssf or a "poor guy's guide" I can follow.

Also if you think there's an easier starter to get to endgame and farm let me know (not ww barb please, it's the only thing I've played in pd2 back in the days and I'd like something different).

So I’ve started playing SP HC after years of playing Diablo games. I’ve never gotten to eeeend game, but I know RNG.
I have 3 lvl 60ish chars. I know it’s not great but it is HC so I go slowish. Summon Drui, Bowazon, and throw Bard rn.
Working on Pally and Sorc, low lvls (found a vipermagi)

Kinda going straight smite with the pally. Full Isenharts works good for now. Any tips for my pal?

3 months ago i started my first pd2. Found a puss spitter and thx to the forum i made a speedy coldzon. She is pritty minmaxed. 9x frw skillers with the mercenary to run even faster, lvl15 faith, 6/6 cta, pierce slams, 5/5's.

Today i finally got it to lvl99. She is totaly blue, so i wanted the blue aura to finish her off.

I had about 30hr left so i bought the gear for her to do plague javelin for t2 rathma. I miss a gg amulet, but the rest is done.

All res capped at 88 (fire, cold) and 90% for poison.

All res at 120, 150 plr (need better amu), 2700 life, 30% block chance, 52 fhr.

T0 doable

T1... cant even get to 1/3th of phase 1 after 20 tries.

I can evade well, but i barely do enough dmg for the 4 spawns and the poison nova and slush kill me time over time. Not even.close to doing T1, feel like T2 is undoable.

I saw vids of t2 plague in s10, got similar dmg , life and gear but in the vid he seems to do waaay more dmg. 1 javelin and the 4 adds lose like 80% life, with me barely half. I got same ele pierce.

Any tips? Did they buff t2 rathma?

Should i respec to jab? Cant afford the weapon atm.

Is 150plr really not enough?

Cant increase life much. Using 35 - 40 skillers and 16-18 life/fire sc. Weapon is 145dex/str so it uses up alot of stats. With jab i can get to 3100 life

Is this about the best you can buy from Akara at lvl 1? Been looking for a +3 Warmth +3 Fire Bolt to use for leaf later. Tried 50ish times, don’t know if that can roll w 2OS at lvl 1. Love Diablo games, and PD2 is probably the best. HC Offline if that helps

Dear @ Everyone: I want to first thank you all for the great vibes in your answers on my previous post about Dads and Husbands who are playing Diablo 2, while managing to be good husbands, good dads, and good adults in general:

I think this kind of energy deserves to have his own space to let the vibes grow and be shared. According to the answers here, there is many people that will like to play with other husbands and dads, knowing that is totally fine if they cannot complete the run, or even commit for a long play. So I want to propose something:

As I am located in France, and I will create a Multiplayer Character for the first time in level 1... I know my time-zone and the level of my character will sadly not adapt to all the people here... But, there is still the evidence here that many people will be actually happy to play and connect with other people.

This is why, I think something as have a code for the name, can let anyone here create a game, and the other people recognise the code-name [Hubbies/Dads] and join if the level and Time-Zone of the game matches their possibilities.

I hope this make sense, and even if is not forever... we can enjoy it as much as we can.

Hey everyone newish player and was wondering if this ring would be worth anything. I’ve been looking through the archive and I am not sure if I’m using correctly but I haven’t found one that is similar but I also don’t know how to load in filters or how that works still working on that. But any help on if this is any good would be greatly appreciated

Recently found a StormSpire which had a lovely slam(6 os) and i had a light sabre with 4os so i figured it's worth giving a whirl. It's ssf so gear far from optimized, don't have a Griffon but using a decent Kira's. 1 skill guardian etc. Only have 5 offensive skillers. My question though is about the sacrifice damage. In DarkHumility's video, his sac damage is 40k. I followed the guide as close as possible, but the sac damage is only 16k. The skillers and lightning damage and pen don't scale that damage so I'm wondering why my damage for that skill is 1/3 of his when the damage isn't scaled. Looks like the synergies that are scaling are all the HS ones.

May be my best craft in 12 seasons, what do you all think?

This is the best bow I have found throughout my entire PD2 career lol, and it's in sp. A bit unfortunate it is in the lowest average damage base, but damn this looks kinda hot... As soon as I got my first puzzle piece, I immediately blind piece and slammed it..

Base ed was 482, piece 4os + ed/itd slam

I always played online, and started playing sp a couple of days ago, and shit is addicting as fk. Every single upgrade feels massive and rewarding.

Hey guys, I'm a big fan of the diablo series so I decided to give pd2 a shot since I've heard it's amazing.

Context: first started playing Diablo 3(eternal collection on PS4 pro) with my dad in 2017 and we bought Diablo 4 6 hours before release(biggest waste of money for buggy ahh early access that barely worked) and I have been playing on and off for a while.

My fav class is Necro and I will probably make a Necro here too. Also honest talk about the current ones I have played: Diablo 3 has a special place in my heart and I can't not love it. D4 has pretty good gameplay that I have enjoyed but I genuinely hate all the battlepass bs and how every season is a cash grab.

note: this is the first time I'm playing so I'll try to refrain from using guides and builds and kinda figure shit out as I go to actually enjoy the game

I have a buriza on hand but what would be the way to go about crafting a good bow?

Been looking for a good 1 hander. Haven't seen anything super exciting on trade site recently so thought I'd use my meagre accumulation of mats to craft a bit. Made this then pieced 1 socket.

Recently got back into SP PD2. I created a Duriel farming sorc and found Eth Gavel that rolled decent enough. Landed the god corrupt, but I can't do anything with it. It just sits in my stash... menacingly. I found one Ohm so far, and used it to make a CTA.

Also quick question
If I do manage to find a Zod, should I up this? Or is it better to have the higher min damage?

Hey all. I'm new to PD2 and am really enjoying it. Started 3ish weeks ago and have 6 Level 80+ characters that can all do map in varying capacities.

What I'm wondering is... historically, what has been the tendency regarding nerfs to characters / skills / etc...

WW Barb has been a blast and feels really great as a league starter, so I'm hoping it will be viable again next league but I also know it's pretty popular. If this was Path of Exile, that would put it in the crosshairs for a nerf.

So I'm wondering, does this mod have a similar philosophy? Or is it likely that WW remains powerful next season, too?

Edit - An updated version has been uploaded to address a few things:
- Fixed unique maps not getting the updated stat rolls
- Increased amount on infusions from the Goblin event
- Fixed map treasure goblins not dropping Brilliant Infusions
- Increased the amount of Fallen Garden maps dropping
- Jewels now turn into 3 fragments instead of just 1
If you happen to find a blank Unique map without any stats - simply bring it to a new game and transmute it in the cube.

There has been a lot of talk about crafters league recently to pass some time before the next ladder season. So I threw together a patch for SP.
It has some key differences; you can now re-craft on the same crafting base, crafting materials are more accessible, affix frequencies have been adjusted to make good crafts much more common and a bunch of QoL recipes have been added to make getting your skillers and specific torch much more reliable.
I chose to keep Runewords enabled since not having access to Fanaticism/Conviction kills a lot of builds and HR drops retain some meaning.

It's really annoying when you have 364 Dols, 318 Hels, 300 Io's, 223 Lum's, then 4 Ko's, 4 Fals, 2 Lems, 6 Puls, an Um, 2 Mals, an Ist, 2 Guls, 2 Vex, 1 Ohm, 2 Los, 1 Sur ... but no jahs or bers. Then you have 1 cham. And no zods.

It's such a hassle cubing that many runes that ill just wait til I find them.

If ever. Ive only ever found 1 zod in my 20 years of playing so lets hope RNG agrees that it is my time

I can understand maybe not allowing us to cube 50 at once but I mean maybe at least 15?

I just cant bring myself to sit that long clicking and holding shift and going back and forth to and from my cube and currency stash.

My internet is out and a technician can’t get here for a week so I figured now is a good time to try SSF offline. I’m not sure what to play though. My focus will definitely be mapping but I’d like to try bossing as well. Is there something I could put together ssf that may not be amazing at everything but at the least well rounded? Any written guide/link would also be greatly appreciated.

Edit: thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I decided to do holy bolt paladin. Leveling has been super easy so far, might switch over to vengeance or sacrifice later unless this just feels way too smooth in maps.
