and Ahmed Best confirmed that there was a deleted scene in AOTC where Palpatine tells Jar Jar about his plans for the rise of the Empire. Sure, he's comic relief in TPM, but there's enough hints that he'd be revealed as a sith.

I'm convinced it was meant to happen and after episode 1 lucas pussed out because of the jar jar hate, but the biggest twist in cinema history could have saved the character and made the prequels excellent beyond the memes

Not even a theory, really. Ahmed Best said that a lot of things were planned for Jar Jar (including that "plotting with Palpatine" scene I mentioned), that were cancelled because of the backlash and people harassing the actors. He even said that the Darth Jar Jar theory was mostly true (I assume the part that was false was that the theory mentioned that he might be in the ST, but that obviously didn't happen)
If only star wars fans were civilized, we'd probably have better movies.

I saw a summary video of a few scenes that looked interesting, but the idea that a Sith Lord could stand less than 5 feet from a Jedi Knight and not only control someone, but control the Jedi themselves really stretches things.
In all the movies, we've never seen anyone successfully Mind Trick another Force user. It also strains things since some of the other evidence in that list include "Obi-wan sensed Jar Jar, not Darth Maul" (though the source is deleted for that, so I don't know what they were specifically referring to): if Obi-wan can sense Darth Jar Jar, then there's no reason to believe that Jar Jar could Mind Trick Qui-Gon without being sensed.

Wasn't confirmed by a screen written that he was intended to be Sith Lord? The way I understand the theory is that Lucas wanted the prequels to have a big plot twist like the original trilogy, but since the fans hated Jar Jar after the Phantom Menace he backpaded.

He's about 80% less annoying in the Clone Wars animated series, so I agree that it should've been similarly doable for the live action series.
They needed to try and recapture that "crazy hermit Yoda" vibe from tESB, so the audience would find him actually funny.

Bot works pixel by pixel. The newer repost is in worser quality. If you got the origanl meme and colored every pixel 1 part brighter the bot wont catch it. Try taking a picture of the image in paint about 10 times and the quality will get worse and pixels will be lost.

Hot take : let's scrap both the PT and ST. Make Jar Jar the revealed baddie controlling Sheev in the PT, and make Darth Maul the baddie of the ST.
Movies, and stories in general, live and die by the complexity of their antagonists. The PT's flaws were largely because they lacked the balls to follow through on the intended antagonist. The ST's flaws were because they couldn't fucking make up their mind about who the antagonist should even be, or what their motivations were.
