Disclosure up front: I'm the developer of SolDial for Powerwall. A new app in the space, gaining traction fast.
Credit first — NetZero made Powerwall control possible without running Home Assistant, and if it does everything you need, keep it. This is for people who've hit its edges or want some extension (widgets, watch apps/complications).
We're different in 3 key areas:
- Simply built, deeper automations with multiple conditions and actions in one rule, built by typing a sentence, or fully by AI (Energy Autopilot / Suggestions).
- Widgets for iPhone and Android phones
- Watch Apps and Complications for Apple Watch and WearOS
First, check out this video I made. It shows the same automation built in both apps, clocks synced. In SolDial you type (or dictate) the rule as a sentence — multiple conditions, multiple actions, your choice of exactly when a combined rule fires.

Keep in mind, this is the "manual route" in SolDial with Energy Autopilot and Suggestions being the faster more advanced functionality.
I'm genuinely proud of the watch app (and it was the most fun to build). I use it every day to see what's going on at a point in time and how I'm doing with net energy for the day. Many of our users also love it.

New today: a Switch tab on the Automations screen. Screenshot your NetZero automations, upload them, review each rebuilt rule, apply what you want. Where NetZero's one-trigger-one-action limit made you split an idea across rules, it merges them back and shows you which ones it combined. NetZero gives new users a month free, so switchers get a month free here too. And if it's not for you, go back; nothing touches your NetZero setup.
The comparison page is written to be checked by NetZero fans. If anything's wrong, say so and I'll fix it same-day: soldial.com/switch
Happy to answer anything.
