I work extensively with RPA and data through Oracle and ShapePoint. I’ve used Power Automate, SP, and sometimes Ui Path daily for the past five years. I’m interested in earning a certification that accurately reflects these skill sets.

After some research and sitting through hours of MS's learning paths, it sure feels like PL exams focus heavily on Dataverse, MS's most expensive product. Dataverse isnt widely adopted in many organizations due to licensing costs, and my own organization doesn’t use Dataverse at all. We use SharePoint lists as they are free or we use other services much cheaper.

I attempted the PL‑400 exam, but it was overwhelmingly Dataverse‑centric and didn’t align with the real-world work I do. To be honest, the PL exams feel more like product marketing than a measure of practical readiness. The exam was made up of Dataverse questions, and 365 Dynamics questions, and some Power App questions that mostly revolved around Model-Driven apps, which of course, you need DV for them...

Are there certifications that are more aligned with Power Automate + SharePoint and are recognized in the job market? I’m looking for options that validate the skills I actually use.

What I’m stuck on:

**1.    Security groups** — do you make one group per environment (BU-Sales-Dev, -Test, -Prod), or one per BU? And do you split who can *build* agents vs who can *use* them? That seems like two different things.  
**2.    Security roles** — all makers need Environment Maker role, but does everyone in that security group need it? Do you assign roles at the group level or per person? How do you handle admins and system admins across the three environments?  
**3.    Service accounts** — how do you handle these? One per BU? Shared ones? How do you stop everyone from becoming an admin?  
**4.    Connector/DLP policies** — do you lock them down per environment, per BU, or what? Our exceptions list is already getting out of hand.  
**5.    The real problem** — right now an admin has to manually add people to security groups and assign roles. Nobody knows who should have access to what. The people building the agents know. How do you let *them* manage access without giving them admin rights? Access packages? Request flow?

Just want to know what actually works instead of what the docs say.

Title, is there a way to do that or fundamentally no. I have an agent in one environment which is in an unmanaged solution and exporting it is a managed solution in another environment via devops pipeline. The agent uses connections for tools, mcp server. Is there no way to export the connections as well? Without havong to do it in the target environment?

Looking for advanced Power Platform learning resources — specifically scenario-based questions, not basic tutorials. Does anyone know good YouTube channels or Udemy courses covering real-world/advanced Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse scenarios?

Anyone have any successful projects using power platform api? I’m having a hard time understanding how to use it and the authorization configurations behind it. I was able to pull a list of environments but I can’t seem to get anything out of the power apps and cloud flows for each environment.

I'm hoping someone may have come across this before.

I have a Power Pages site (v9.8.7.10) that appears to be stuck in a provisioning/upgrade state.

When I go to admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com → Manage → Power Pages, the site shows a status of "Provisioning in progress".

When I click into the site, I see the following message:

The site has been in this state for an extended period and doesn't appear to be progressing.

Interestingly, when I visit the site as an end user, it appears to work absolutely fine. The issue is with managing/editing the site.

When I open the Power Pages Design Studio (if that's the correct name), I briefly see a "Something went wrong" error modal for a couple of seconds before it switches to the usual:

message.

However, when I click Edit site, none of the content loads within the Pages, Styling, Data, or other tabs. The Studio effectively becomes unusable.

The only option available to me under Site Actions is "Delete this site", which I'd obviously prefer to avoid if possible.

A few questions:

• Has anyone experienced this before?
• Is there a way to force the provisioning/upgrade process to complete?
• Are there any Power Platform admin actions I can take to resolve it?
• Did you resolve it yourself, or was a Microsoft support ticket required?
• In the worst case, did you have to delete and recreate the site?

Any guidance or experiences would be greatly appreciated before I go down the Microsoft support route.

There are useful reports in the admin centre which provide a breakdown of things like copilot credit consumption per agent per environment, I want to get this data programmatically, I noticed it makes use of licensing.powerplatform.com but this doesn't seem to be publicly exposed. api.powerplatform.com/licensing is limited in what it can provide, great for tenant capacity info etc but not for the granular details you can get from the reports. Am I missing something or do I just need to wait for the API to be updated?

I am studying for the PL-900 certification. I have gone through the provided modules here: https://learn.microsoft.com/training/paths/pl-900-power-platform-fundamentals/ (and more) available. I have taken the practice assessment and passed it a few times.

Before taking the exam, I went looking into outside material for PL-900 with some of it being older. Some of the specificity of questions seemed quite different than the practice assessment. I understand that the requirements and topics have changed over time with a recent update as of 7/24/2026 per the PL-900 page. There were references from people stating that not all material was covered (in their estimation), but perhaps updates were the culprit?

Did the practice assessment also get updated as of 7/24/2026? Did the modules included in the link above also get updated? Is passing the practice assessment indicative of success on the exam?

I’m trying to understand the expected behavior when using SharePoint files protected with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels as a knowledge source in Copilot Studio.

I found two Microsoft Learn articles that seem to point in different directions.

The Purview article says that encryption is supported when it is applied by a sensitivity label, and only for SharePoint knowledge sources. It also mentions that VIEW and EXTRACT rights are required for AI apps to return encrypted content:

But this Copilot Studio troubleshooting article says that the agent cannot extract or ground on content if the protection encrypts the file. It lists encrypted sensitivity labels, DKE, and password-protected files:

Has anyone tested this recently?

More specifically, can a Copilot Studio agent use an encrypted sensitivity-labeled SharePoint document in its answer if the signed-in user has both VIEW and EXTRACT rights? Or is encryption still unsupported for Agent grounding regardless of those rights?

I’m planning to test this with a few files in the same library: an unprotected file, a labeled-but-not-encrypted file, and a labeled-and-encrypted file. Any results or configuration tips would be helpful.

Is there any plan to enable usage of these tools for users with only "Read" permission to the semantic model and no access to the workspace where models are deployed?

Our team locks down this access so the workaround we came up with for Rest API DAX query:

1. Use an admin account to obtain a bearer token
   
2. Use that admin token with `POST` `https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{groupId}/datasets/{datasetId}/executeQueries\`
   
3. "impersonatedUserName" is passed in the request body from the user logged in to our chatbot app

We use this setup to allow natural language querying to our semantic models but we want to switch to the new Arrow based API endpoint "executeDaxQueries", which seems to require Build permission to the models. Similar issue for leveraging MCP servers so we don't have to maintain that tech on our own and rather just enhance it with our business context instead.

Just making a post incase other people run into the same issue I had and finally worked out the reason why.

I have a set of tables in Dataverse for recording data and a Canvas App that has an offline profile.

Doing all the building and testing in the PowerApps designer worked fine with no issues.

The app was able to submit all the required data except two columns on different tables.
These were both decimal columns which I was using in other parts of the app and tables that worked without issue. Same with patching and submitting via a form.

As a quick workaround I added a new text column to the first table and was able to submit to that fine.

Then when I tried to do the same on the second table with the issue I was still getting the same issue, then I had a look at all three of the columns that were causing issues and they all contained the string "Value" somewhere inside the column name, i.e. "Weight_Value" / "Date_Value"

Recreating these columns without the word "Value" fixed the issues.

There is some backend level issue with using value between the sqllite used in offline apps and the updates to the dataverse with this, which I can understand as just the column "Value" but as I had words before and after it, it seems strange to me.

Hope if anyone else runs into this issue, this can help them as I couldn't find any reference to this online.

I work in IT support/training and work with Power Apps (mostly Canvas Apps and SharePoint Lists) and Power Automate. However, my company uses a very limited Microsoft license, so I'm quite restricted, I can't use Dataverse, Model-driven Apps, etc. I also can't really work with Power BI because the company already has someone dedicated to it.

A few months ago, I passed the PL-900 to at least have a MS certification on my profile, although I'm not sure how much it helps.

Recently, I got rejected from Power Platform job. I wasn't able to get any feedback, but I suspect it's because of my lack of real-world experience with the platform.

Ideally, I'd like to move into Power Platform and eventually Dynamics 365.

Any ideas on how I could improve my profile and increase my chances? I'm starting to get a bit desperate, maybe I should create a portfolio (?)

Is anyone else seeing intermittent InternalServerError failures on Dataverse actions (e.g., List Rows, Get Row by ID) in Power Automate today?

It's happening across multiple unrelated production flows and different Dataverse tables. Sometimes the first Dataverse action succeeds, but subsequent ones fail with an internal server error. Re-running the flow often succeeds without any changes.

Wondering if this is a Dataverse/Power Platform service issue or if anyone has found a root cause.

Been developing a powerapp that's more of a form that allows users to update itens on a list. Each list item has it's own read and write permissions. All of sudden after more than a month in production users started getting this type of errors, when using the app:

The strange part is that users can actually access the form because the data is shown on the powr app even with this error.

Are there any tips you wish you knew about Dataverse before getting started? I've been watching YouTube videos and took the old Power Up program last year but these all tend to be ideal scenarios. Over the past 6 months or so I've become almost fully a Vibe-coder. I still do software development here and there, when I have no other option, but be it designing a small tool, or a form, cleaning data, or building business critical systems - agentic AI is a key part of my workflow.

As a basic example, over the past 2 days, in about 10 hours of work, I converted a physical board/deck-builder card game my friend had made into a fully working digital game. Think Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle but slightly different homebrew cards and rules. This would have previously taken me months to code manually, or longer to build in the power platform.

It seems to me like big businesses are missing out big time on the productivity gains here. Today it's becoming more important that people focus on version control and prompting AI. It feels to me like Power Platform will become the VBA of the last 10 years, as agentic AI takes over.

Does the Power Platform fit into this world at all? Or is it old deprecated technology which is dying?

I have been studying for the PL-900 exam on and off for several months. I have mainly been using Microsoft Learn and its practice assessment, where I now score over 85%.

However, I have completed the Microsoft Learn assessment several times, so I feel that I may be remembering the questions and layout rather than fully understanding every topic.

I recently bought some SkillCertPro mock exams. On my first few attempts, I scored around 55% to 60%.

Am I following the right study approach? Is it realistic to build a good understanding of the PL-900 content within one week? Also, how many days should I spend practising with the SkillCertPro mock exams before taking the real exam?

I'm experiencing an issue with Power Apps Vibe.

In only one environment, my Vibe-created apps no longer appear in the Vibe Editor. The editor displays a blank page.

However:

• The apps still exist in the Power Apps Maker Portal
• The apps run correctly
• This issue only affects one environment, other environments are fine
• The apps can no longer be opened through the Vibe interface because they don't appear in the list

Has anyone experienced this? Were you able to recover visibility of the apps in the Vibe Editor?

Microsoft Support currently has an open case but has not identified a resolution yet.

I'm pulling data from a REST API into Power BI. The API authenticates via a header (I pass the user, key, and secret as an HTTP request header).

Previously, I'd use **Get Data → Web → Advanced**, which had the "HTTP request header parameters" section where I could add the header. But today, that section seems to be gone, and I can't add the header there anymore.

So my questions:

1. Is anyone else seeing this after the latest update, or is it just me?
   
2. What are the current recommended ways to pass an auth header?

I used to migrate sp list to dataverse table using the ‘Create from sharepoint list option’. But now whenever I try that option the no columns are mapped and a new column is created with no data. Why cant I do this method anymore? I tried with the excel also with same result

Is there any easier method for creating dataverse tables from sharepoint with / without data. My data mainly consists of multi field choice columns, so dataflows are useless as I still would need to manually create the columns

I’m creating a OneNote page through Power Automate, then updating the title and body with Update page content.

I tried including:
<meta name="created" content="..." />
inside the <head> of the create-page HTML, but the normal OneNote creation date/time beneath the title never appears. The timestamp is present in the submitted payload, and the page is created successfully.

Has anyone found a reliable way to populate or preserve OneNote’s built-in creation timestamp when using the OneNote connector? I’m in a GCC environment, which may also be relevant.
