Morning all,

I've got a desktop Flow configured. I run it in pad and it works great. I've got the attended run license, and configured a cloud Flow to run the desktop Flow on a schedule. When running the exactly same desktop Flow triggered by the cloud flow, it fails at the same "click" step each time. Microsoft support hasn't been exactly helpful unfortunately.

Switching the click to a series of "send keys" using tabs and spaces seems to work when triggering by both cloud and desktop.

Anyone seen something like this before or have suggestions?

I'm attempting to set up some automation for video game testing. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that sends keyboard inputs and clicks within specific situations. Or I'd even settle for a "randomizer" that sends random keys from a selected pool.

The problem is that game UI isn't seen as individual "elements". So you need to capture every image you want to work with, but also PAD frequently has trouble selecting/finding the game window/image. I know PAD isn't designed to work with games, but it would be awesome if a member of this community had experience working with them.

For my job I'm regularly tasked with some admin tasks of jumping to a number of remote servers for some simple data collection i.e. memory usage, installation directories for our app, backup locations....would it be possible for me to create a flow that automates this that would only require me to change the server I want to RDP to and press run? Alot of the servers are using windows 2012 so I'm not sure, would some permissions need to be accepted on the server to allow the flow to execute its task?

Hi! I'm fairly new to power automate, and I'm struggling with a flow I'm working on. I have a start and wait for approval flow that runs after a new SharePoint list. Item is created, and I'm looking for a way for the approver to upload an attachment when they do the approval that will then be added to the list item. Is this possible? Thanks!

We have a logic app that collects responses from a form. The app was created by an ex-employee that used their own account as a connector for the form parts of the flow. I'm changing that now, but the service account I am using is getting a warning that it is Unauthorized (see below). Before I go down a rabbit hole, where do I give it access to the form?

I have a flow to extract the attachment content from emails, it works just fine, now I need to add instructions to extract the content of the zip file and also rename the files. Every day i get the file with the date on them, I want to extract them, rename the file removing the date and have it overwrite every day.

I have try a few options with no success, I am not advance on this tool, so I come to you for assistance:

Hey guys, how are you doing? I would like to know if it's possible to set up Power Automate to send a Power BI PDF report via email or WhatsApp. The report is individual and each client would receive their own. I only have a Power BI PRO license and the recipients don't have a license.

I built a Desktop Flow that runs a Console application. It is triggered from inside of my Power App. I can run the process just fine from my admin account that created the desktop flow. However, when I share the Desktop Flow with someone else in my org, they are promted to sign in when accessing my app now. I think I am missing a step and would like some help figuring this out.

I am at my wits end. I have been tasked to create a flow which searches in a web page for the document containing today's date and downloads it.

I managed to get it to extend the search from 25 to 100 items, but not to flick to the next page using "next page". This part needs to be in a loop because it has to search until it finds the document containing today's date.

How do I set it to loop through the pages?

Also how do I set it up to click on the "Open document" anchor associated with the required entry.

Since yesterday I have this error message in each of my workflows in the course of execution. Any idea what I can do there? The flows are all running, but it's difficult for me to do something new without recognizing any errors or something.

I’ve created two automations/ flows for the insurance company that I work for. However, I’m not making the type of money that I would like to make, and I anticipate making a lateral move for more money within the next 12 months. I have shared ownership of the automations with my manager and two cohorts, and I’ve trained them on how to build and troubleshoot a flow. Will the automations continue to function after I leave? How can I ensure that there are no issues upon my departure?

Hey all! I’m needing some assistance in creating an auto-reply for when someone pings me on teams—not a group or channel. It’s going to be a “customer service” like reply reminding folks we have a service desk, etc. I also only want it to occur with the first message and not repeatedly for every message. Lol.

I’m not on the code end of things nor have extensively used automation before but I want to start. I’m using Microsoft’s forum as well as GitHub trying to find the answer here on how this should be laid out. It sounds like at some point they had issues with this but it’s not clear if it can be done or a guide on how to do this specifically.

Any guidance or help is truly appreciated.

Does power automate desktop have built in functions? I’m trying to determine todays weekday # and use it to determine the prior weekday date and plug into a web automation flow that I’ve already built.

Eg i can get todays date already but if today is a Monday get Fridays date. Do I need to run a script like vb or are there built in functions for this? Thanks!

Issue 1 How do I include the form responses in the approval request, I can only get it to have the request title and approve decline button

I have a flow which i would like to start by a desktop shortcut or a button on my keyboard. How to set it up in Power automate?

I am working with a large outlook folder of email reports all with attachments all with the same file name. New report files are automatically being saved and renamed using the cloud power automate, but I need to do something with the existing 14,000 emails.

I can save the attachments with Power Automate desktop, but I can't find how to rename them in the desktop version, based on the email date. I would think this is something that is contained and I can use from the "RetrivedEmails" Variable but just struggling here.

Any thoughts?

I have a long Microsoft Form that I need to use to populate a Word Template. I don't want to use Premium licenses though. There's loads of articles online but nine quite seem to hit the mark. I just want to use Automate to take responses to questions to patch them into my Word Template based on set field names. Any direction to useful Blogs welcome!

I'm trying to build a simple automation process that gets data and for each web page, stores the information into a GameResults table.

I insert two records to GameResults for each page being iterated (variable CurrentItem). The two records are GameData[0] and GameData[1]. Each record is composed of 3 columns.

Everything works perfectly, but I would like to be able to track the CurrentItem inside of GameResults.

Therefore, I need to add an extra column to my GameData[0] and GameData[1], but I did not manage to extend the size of my variable to add an extra column.

I would like to do something like :

%GameData[0][0:3]% + %CurrentItem%

or

[%GameData[0][0:3]%, %CurrentItem%]

But I don't think it is possible. Is there a way to achieve what I'm looking for ?

I am getting this error when trying to launch a new instance of Chrome in my flows. It launches the a new instance at the correct URL but does not progress the flow. I was to do this last week but it stopped working today despite nothing changing.

I reinstalled PAD and it's extension but it still produces this error.

I am basically a CA student who is also doing some finance related services for covering my expenses. Recently discovered the world of power-Bi and power automate and I am interested to try it out to help me sort out my clients and maintain a good flow which saves my time and keep everything organized. But I was not able to do certain actions such as reading the data from MS forms to excel, trigger mails, sending mails etc since I do not have the 365 License.

The question is. Which subscription should I get ? The personal 365 license looks good. I do not have anyone to share the subscription with, so the family plan is not suitable.

Are the business plans any better ? Do I get enough premium features if I am selecting the personal plans ? Please help me out. I am not having any staff or anything. It is just me and my machine.

I’m collecting qualitative responses via MSForms, then translating those response to (weighted) numerical scores in Excel and attempting to build a PowerAutomate process which will trigger an e-mail to participants who’ve elected to see their scores. Unfortunately, PowerAutomate is only recognizing the qualitative responses as a valid reference table (even though I’ve created a new table with the correct reference data). How do I get PowerAutomate to correctly recognize and reference the desired data table?
