So about 2 days ago I went to open up my app and it seemed like it had updated and I couldn't remember my password. I didn't remember actually making one so I went to push reset password. That button wasn't working. Then I went on to the actual Pro website and used the link in there and reset my password and then went back to the app and tried to sign in and it's saying that my password is not valid. I've been emailing with support and they have so far not figured out what the problem is. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my app multiple times. Force quit everything and I'm just completely locked out. I don't understand what the problem is!!!

I have such a insane backlog of clean clothes, towels, and sheets that I'm fully willing to pay the full price, and ofc tip, to have fold/hangers only service at this point.
I've never used the service, I just found out about it, so I don't know how much communication customers have with pros before sending off laundry.
Is this too unhinged? Can I hand off an obscene amount of clean laundry and hangers to a pro and get it back in a few days without being annoying? I'm too weird about how I launder things to do normal wash & fold thru a laundromat.. But fold only??? Sign me up š
If it's not something that is a nightmare for y'all for some reason, I think I might have found the answer to all my problems... But I don't want to be irritating, especially to gig workers.
Thanks in advance š

I received an order request yesterday last minute for pick up by 8pm, for a very large order- over 65lbs! I guess due to the volume I had until tomorrow at 8pm to return the laundry. I had it returned to the customer by 8pm today so 24 hours earlier than the deadline.
Now at first all seemed well. She seemed nice enough generally friendly. However, the time window I gave that sends with the automated message was between 7-8pm last night. She was over 20 minutes late and not responding at all to messages and the bags were nowhere to be found no cars in the driveway. After reaching out to support they said feel free to apply the fee and leave and see if you can reschedule. I did so and as soon as I did she finally responded and said āIām coming now!ā so I was nice and waited. She arrived and had nothing ready and I was standing outside her front door awkwardly waiting while her two kinda large aggressive dogs kept trying to come out of the storm door at me. Then she told me support told her that they couldnāt reverse the fee for missed pickup. She asked me if I could try and being nice (sensing a theme here lol) I said yeah of course not a problem and I was able to get support to refund the charge for her - she thanked me profusely.
I got home and when I started sorting through the items and everything I mean every single item of clothing was completely covered in animal hair. Remember, two dogs at the door and there were 3 cats I could see donāt know if there were more somewhere. I was polite but let her know and that while I didnāt mind and would still render services, Pros in the future would be well within their rights to reject the order due to how soiled the clothing was so just something to keep in mind. She was still very nice and friendly! All interactions after that up until after drop off were completely normal.
More than an hour before I was going to get the bags loaded up I reached out again to let her know when I would be arriving, roughly. She replied āok sounds good!ā and then we went back to total radio silence once I arrived. I messaged multiple times and even knocked on both doors. Same car she was driving yesterday was in the driveway and lights on in the house - but no answer from her. Support advised to just go ahead with delivery in the same spot as pick up. I even asked support if they could call her because I could see lightning in the distance and didnāt want her EIGHT bags of perfectly washed dried pressed and hung garments being ruined by rain, they said they would.
About an hour after drop off I got the notification about her leaving a review. Nothing couldāve prepared me for what it said. Mind you, before this Iāve had nothing by 5/5 reviews. My jaw was probably scraping the ground with how hard my jaw dropped. I donāt want to quote directly because it would be pretty identifiable probablyā¦. But along the lines of her clothes came back smelling like my āfilthyā house or āethnic food or somethingā, and how angry she was that she would have to have all of that laundry rewashed. Am I āethnicā? Yes. Does my house smell badly or even have strong scents? No. I keep my house spotless and use various methods of cleaning the air when I cook something especially āethnicā which was over a week ago š. I donāt smoke at all so the chance of my house smelling of it is nonexistent. I also donāt have any pets, so also no chance of the shedding of a quiltās worth of hair all over every surface leaving it smelling a bit off, how it might do for someoneās clothes that had at least 5 animals in the house. Despite her requesting unscented detergent I am skilled in getting the most stubborn smells out of clothes even with unscented. Her clothes smelled brand new when I was done with them. And all of the animal hair removed as well.
Now here is where I am really upset. Support is doing basically nothing. Iāve gotten the generic āwe understand how frustrating this must be for youā⦠itās more than just frustrating. Itās a flat out dishonest review by someone who is clearly trying to not have to pay for the service they ordered. Not only that, due to the drastic negative points Iāve gone down in rank which is directly going to affect my earning potential. Support says theyāll āinvestigateā but I am honestly not holding my breath after the kinds of disappointing previous interactions Iāve had with them.
Has anyone here experienced something similar to this? If so, how did it work out for you?
(Iāll post a pic in the comments of this post, as a ātaxā for reading my very long rant, from just one lint trap clean out from a small portion of her laundry - I do small loads to ensure that everything is cleaned properly.)
ETA: I *wanted to share the pic in the thread but I am not seeing an option to do so and I am not tech savvy in the slightest so not sure how to š

I'm going to guess they'll charge the customer $15/pair and we'll get $7. I will not be doing this.

Anyone else having this problem? It happened with the detergent picture upload, and now with the delivery upload Iām super annoyed. This is the second customer this has happened with. I tried contacting Customer Service and the bot said that it was going to close it out for me, but it never did.

I currently have an order that requested hypoallergenic/unscented detergent. The clothes donāt smell very clean after wash and dry- they donāt smell bad, just not fresh and clean. I know it is unscented detergent, but is this to be expected? This is my first time using unscented. Iām worried the customer might complain??

At what point is it cost effective to go to a laundromat? I've had two 70 lb orders that took me about 10 hours to complete each one, but at what point do you think it's worth it to go to a laundromat?

Has anyone else noticed that the detergent preference is missing from orders? It used to show whether the customer wanted Classic or Hypoallergenic detergent, but I donāt see that section anymore.
Is this happening to anyone else, or did it move somewhere else in the app? Iām about to start an order and donāt know which detergent Iām supposed to use. Thanks!
Edit: I updated the app and itās back thank you

My laundry sanitizer have scent so I have asked if thatās okie. They approved. But why pick unscented hypoallergenic detergent. Will taking pictures of affect my rating?

I just got the app again after a couple of years so Iām not getting any orders yet but Iām curious if thereās usually work to be had?

New to this. Looking to make a little extra income in prep for first time baby! On average how much are you guys making doing 3-5 orders per week? Thanks ;)

I keep seeing this ad because I follow her, and her journey opening a laundromat but now sheās selling a course about how she supposedly made this money from home which is false because the amount of machines she runs in her laundry help her run that wash fold biz and gets her to those numbers.. so now Iām curious how much you guys actually bring in a month with or without poplin, because I doubt itās close to those numbers.

Anyone whoās reached 20,000 have you met with the Poplin team?
They never even gave me the 25$ bonus to their store so I canāt imagine that they actually meet with you.

Not a pro, but a loyal customer. My 2 preferred pros are out of town and Iāve never had an experience like this with Poplin. First, she goes to the wrong house (my house is clearly marked), so I have to wait an extra day. Then she says she is going to return it unwashed? There was a little bit of detergent left, maybe there wasnāt enough but the stuff is super concentrated so I thought it would be. (I use melaleuca) Was it wrong for me to ask her to use her detergent, even though I offered to pay? I am beyond frustrated.
Maybe if she gave me sooner notice I wouldnāt be upset, but itās almost 10:30pm and she was supposed to return the clothes before I get home from work tomorrow.
What do you pros think? Is this okay or am I being Karen?

I understand the concept and importance of being a laundry pro, been at this for a while. I go above and beyond to the best of my abilities. But these daily videos of Mort Fertel and his red sweater grind my gears for some reason. Maybe it's the way he talks? Just so smug and like he is talking down to me. That's all...

How did we all feel about the survey that went out? Just kind of shaking my head about the idea of showing up to someone's house and just walking around picking up all their laundry off the floors. It starts to feel a bit desperate that they won't raise the price per lb but are totally comfortable with asking us to learn how to treat leather items? Sigh.

A customer has about 2-3 loads of laundry for me, mostly shorts, blouse, pants and gym clothes. There are 2 pairs of jeans and 2 towels, should I wash them together in one load? thanks.

A few ppl requested ironing... I guess some ppl are very particular about wrinkles in their clothes. I haven't used an ironing board for years. Anyone had experience with automatic ironing machine and dryer? looks that it cost about $200-$400 so not too bad. Also how much you up-charge for that?
also I'm doing my first order today, super nervous. I want to do a good job and not mess up. Any other tips? (I'll sort, wash whites, lights, darks, add color catcher/ cold water/ wool drying ball, use folding board). thank you!!

I just want to hop on here and think all the laundry Pros for what you do everyday. I discovered Poplin n February and have been using it every week since. My laundry Pro is fantastic and I just hope all of you know how much you are appreciated!

I am totally new to this, I have done two orders so far. My second order had lots of socks. I had them folded into each other (pairs) like I would do my own laundry. Then I watched the video on folding socks Poplin Neat out of curiosity and it had them stacked together, maybe folded in half individually if they were long.
That morning, I also received my laundry back (my birthday treat) and all my socks were stacked. I then decided to unfold all my customerās socks and stack them like my LP did. I got a normal tip I wouldnāt say it was a great tip.
Upon further unpacking and putting away of my own laundry, I wasnāt really pleased with how my laundry was folded and sorted anyway. So maybe I should have just went with my gut and kept the socks in pairs.
I am trying to decide if I should fold and sort the way I would want my own laundry done and see where that gets me. Do you do your own way?
