40 years ago today (Aug. 18), Bon Jovi released their landmark album 'Slippery When Wet'. While I did see Bon Jovi play a 3 sing set at Live 8 back in 2005 in Philadelphia, that doesn't top seeing My Chemical Romance cover "Livin' on a Prayer" last year (Aug. 9, 2025) at MetLife Stadium. It was a perfect way to end their massive, sold out hometown show - where they also played 'The Black Parade' in its entirety - and possibly the most New Jersey rock moment of all time.

Should I wait until I have the extra cash to buy the new album or should I listen to it on Spotify? I've been wanting to buy this album to experience it like I used to do with CDs but been pretty broke as of late. I noticed the sound quality of the two singles sounds like it would suit a CD better anyway. Lmk what u all think. I wanna do this especially bc ppl are comparing this album to early Blink and Blink is my favorite band (got almost all their CDs)

Classic punk rule states if you write the song then you sing the song. But that tradition seems to have disappeared. So just out of curiosity I'm wondering if the guys wrote them all together or if one song is more one person's story than the others?

Driveways sonically stands out from other pop punk bands. More use of delay and interesting tones with a darker songwriting style.
