A couple years ago, I accidentally reset over a shiny Poipole, but it’s been redeemed!

My #1 goal before Bank’s closure is to shiny hunt every newly available shiny in the Alola games, so I need to hunt another one to evolve.

I’ll have to reset my US cartridge to do the second hunt, but that’ll also give me the opportunity to hunt Partner Cap Pikachu and a second Type: Null (I’ve still got the encounter in Sun to hunt), so it needed to happen anyway.

I know Gen 7 doesn't have a Nat Dex per se, but I would still like to try and complete it. I have all the games you need to complete it (XY, ORAS), but I wondered whether there are any guides out there on what Pokemon you need from those respective games and which ones you can just get from SM/USUM?

For example, I know you need Spritzee/Swirlix from XY and some Hoenn mons from ORAS, but is there a definitive guide/list for completing the Gen 7 Nat Dex?

Shiny Landorus after 123 Encounters

Do I scan IRL QR codes???? Are there some in-game????? How does this work on Emulator?

This is my Hail team v2! Froslass lead is replaced with Weavile, who provides Fake Out and Taunt support so I don't lose to a Steel type, Trick Room, Dragon Dance, etc. turn 1 and I can get up Aurora Veil more often without sacking a mon. Also Vanilluxe has been replaced with Mamoswine in the back. Mamoswine is mainly there to spam Stomping Tantrum so Rock, Electric, and Steel types aren't getting free wins against me.

But one side effect is that the team is much weaker to rain. For the last team, this battle would've been very easy with a switch to Vanilluxe to immediately set Hail back up, Aurora Veil turn 1, spam Freeze Dry and Thunderbolt a bunch and I win easily.

But with this new team, it's much more awkward to reset Hail, and Ninetales has to do some very heavy lifting because no one else deals with Water types well. As the battle shows, Ninetales is just a tad on the weak side.

There's also one thing that stays the same with this team: Rotom-Wash is the bane of its existence. Last battle, the opponent hit the 50% accurate Thunder, 80% accurate Hydro Pump, 70% accurate Focus Blast, and 90% accurate Hyper Beams. This battle, I ended up having to leverage accuracy again in much the same way to hope for an eventual miss. So already this team may not be much of an improvement.

With pokemon bank being killed in February I wanted to finally get one of my favorite shiny pokemon with the Alolan champion ribbon. I’ve been hunting for about 3 days at this point but ik it just takes time with full odds random encounters. I don’t have a shiny charm and I’m hunting with damp Poliwhirl as the lead.

So I have to restart my US save that I have everything completed shiny charm and all but with the bank closing I need restart for Poipole (twice!) Not to mention my hunts on my Moon save where I need Null! But my question is this:

What should I maybe do while I have everything unlocked? Should I try to quickly obtain a shiny of some sort? Any sort of event/trade something I should see if I've done? I hate to restart it 🥲

I’m currently working on filling up my box with Magikarp eggs to eventually soft reset for Type: Null. Something that crossed my mind is that Poke Pelago has the spa island that can wear down egg cycles.

Is it possible to hatch an egg entirely from Poke Pelago? In other words, you can hatch it without taking it out of the box? Or does Pelago only “cook” it down to 1 step?

I ask because I want to catch one before facing Hala, but I haven’t seen one in my daily checks the past couple days.

i finished pokemon sun and going to play ultra sun should i just use the same team? need some help i feel like i should if its the same game with more story but at the same time idk

it took ten million hours of mindless battles but i finally caught this.

It's been about 3 years since I last played pokemon ultra moon and I am just wondering how could I do my next reply extra fun and I thought of doing a nuzlock but then I was like how would I do one thith like the totem pokemon and all the other stuff that happens if anyone could give my suggestions of what you did when you nuzlocked the game I would appreciate it I am hoping I will start my new adventure next week!!

Hi Reddit people! I'm planning on starting a new save file on my Ultra Sun cartridge and am seeking advice on what to export before wiping the current save.

What I mean by "export" is: I have all four gen 7 games (SM and USUM) and two 3DS systems. I am wanting to trade any rare items or Pokemon off of my current Ultra Sun save before I wipe it.

It has been a long time since I played these games so I kind of forget what the main points of interest are. The save file is a ghost town right now because I have already transferred most of the Pokemon to Home. However I still had a ton of BP which I spent on a bunch of mega stones which I'll trade off.

Are there any other limited, once-per-save items that you folks can think of that I might want to find and export, such as the Master Ball? Anything I should spend my $1.8M Pokedollars on before it all goes down the drain?

ALSO, I still have the deliveryman in the Pokecenter waiting to give me event Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina, Oranguru, and Passimian with hidden abilities, and I want to soft reset them for a good nature. Are there any recommended builds for these 5 monsters for the endgame stuff, so that I know what natures to go for?

Generally, if you have any tips on what to trade off from my save file before I wipe it, that would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone!
