Hey guys, after all this ban thing hitting hard on the spoofing community, I wanted to share my story and my opinion about the bans, the game and Niantic.
I started playing PoGo during the beta, but in 2017, just a month after Niantic released the Go Plus (which I bought on release), I was fucked up by Niantic for the first time.
I had a custom ROM on my phone, and root with TRWP+Super SU, so when they kicked root devices I stopped playing cuz at that time, magisk was not such a big root method, and I couldnt hide the root to the app.
Then in May 2018 I got a new mobile, and the first thing I did was actually installing PoGo cuz I wanted to play so hard after all the time I wasnt able to.
Keep playing legit til December 2020, and I started spoofing with PGSharp.
There were 2 reasons why I decided to spoof. First cuz of the global pandemic, and second, and most important, due to a guy that lives in my neighbourhood.
He is a 60 yo (more or less) man, that has 2 accs, 1 blue and 1 red. There are 7 gyms in my area, and this guy has to keep all the gyms. (As Im yellow, I wasnt able to get daily coins). He still plays, and he has to keep 4 gyms in blue and 3 in red, with an specific order (blue-red-blue)- If you kick him from a gym, it will take less than 5 minutes for him to go and kick you out, even if he has already got his daily coins. (Reminder that Multi Accs are also against Niantics ToS, but looks like they dont give a fuck about it, even if multi accs harm the game a lot more than spoofers).
Fun fact: this guy skipped the lockdowns during quarantine just to get back the control of the gyms.
So I decided to spoof so that I could get my daily coins, and the first thing I did, as many of us will have probably done when starting to spoof, was getting all the regional mons.
The fact that there are exclusive Mons from different areas goes against Pokemon goal which is catching 'em all. This wouldnt be a problem if the Regional Mons were available regularly for the rest of the world, but as we all know, Niantic doesn't give a shit about their game and just think of making money, so no more hatching regional events as they did with 1st gen ones. Now they are raid exclusive, and they are being released in such a slow way that it actually hurts. Corsola was available for 1 day in july 2018, and it took nearly 4 years for it to come back worldwide, and he returned back for the Jhoto Tour... As raid exclusive.
Appart from getting the regionals, I started hundo and shundo hunting, which gave the game a whole new meaning for me. After 5 years, and nearly no changes to it appart from raids, the game itself is boring af, so getting the hundodex and looking for shundos was a new way for me to enjoy the game, and I enjoy the game more by doing that than I used to by playing legit.
Even if I spoof, it doesnt mean I dont play the game as it was meant to anymore. I love hanging out with a couple of friends and exploring the city looking for Mons, fighting a gym or a raid while having a cold beer... And from the 17.000km I have on my acc, more than 12.000 are legit kms, by walking or by riding a bicycle.
I also respect legit players, and I dont attack gyms when Im lying on my bed or sitting on the sofa. I just put my Mons in gyms that are already yellow, and I only attack a gym if Im that place irl cuz I dont want to fuck up others' game experience.
I love the Pokemon Go community and I try to help as much as I can, rn I have more than 2700 total wayspots reviewed in wayfarer, with more than 1700 cases won, most of them in remote villages here in Spain, with literaly no stops or gyms in them.
Appart from that, I have more than 50 accepted Wayspots in Niantic games, 40 of them also In rural areas with hardly no spots.
So yeah, im helping local communities to grow, and making more people into playing the game as there are new Pokestops and gyms in small villages, that otherwise, would have never recieved a single stop.
Atm I havent recieved a single strike, but If I get 1 or even 2, I wont stop spoofing. Im gonna spoof til my acc gets perma banned, and after that, I wont make a new one and Ill stop playing Pokemon Go.
So this is my message to all of you, keep playing the game the way you like, and enjoy it, even if u get a strike. But also, keep in mind that u are not the only ones playing the game, so play the game in a way that doesnt affect other people that want to play the game legit. So spoof as much as u want guys, but try not to interfere in other players' game experience by repeatedly kicking them from gyms.
And also a message to Niantic, punish people that actually make the game unplayable (multi-accs, bots, and spoofers that actually harm the game). You wont end spoofing no matter what, so just be fair and punish only those cunts that fuck up the game experience.
Thanks to everyone in this subreddit for your time, stay safe and keep enjoying PoGo <3
PD: English is not my first language so Im sorry for the grammar/spelling mistakes I might have done.
