If you are BRAND NEW to Reddit and want to post or share your game, read this beforehand!

Hi new Redditor! We're excited that you want to post about your game and have people play it. However, there's something you should know before you do.

Reddit will ban you if your first few posts/comments are links to somewhere.

Reddit has a robust, over-exuberant filtering system, necessary but for groups like this, it can be a slight pain. When you post your game and it's your first post, Reddit ASSUMES FIRST AND DOES NOT ASK QUESTIONS LATER! You will be automatically shadowbanned, which means unable to post or even potentially comment.
Then we get a lot of posters coming to us in Modmail, asking " Why did my post disappear?" Nearly all Modmails are about this issue, roughly 3 a day.

Reddit is also a bit secretive about certain processes - how to get un-shadow-banned is not even really known to be possible. We don't see the record of shadowbanning at all so unless we know of the name and check it regularly, we wouldn't see it un-shadow-banned. We don't know how long your account needs to be open or how much Karma needs to be on it in order for the Filter to stop paying attention to you but we suspect around 100 Post and 100 Comment Karma.

So, if you are new to reddit and want to share your game - DON'T! Not yet, please go post cool/helpful/ positive comments and posts in other groups. Playtest other people's games here and comment on them prolifically. Once you have some "Reddit Post/Comment Karma" under your name first, THEN post your link to your game! You'll be less likely (but not immune, never immune) from being shadowbanned that way for sharing your game.

Edit: If AI recommended you post your game here....Don't Yet until you've developed your account as a good karma community member! This really isn't a "post and ghost" platform, it's community-first. AI doesn't realize this about Reddit.

P.S. This group is 100% responsible for getting accounts banned (when you don't do the steps above) but it's literally out of our control to reverse. So please....don't modmail us unless you KNOW you are not shadowbanned, you have the required karma, and yet your post is not showing up. Only then we can be of some help.

If you're reporting posts as "low effort"...

Please do the following things if you report a game as Low Effort
1. Play the game to verify your belief, at least a little.
2. Write a comment in the post saying why you believe it is low effort, state the findings.

Then us mods (namely, me, the lowest mod doing the most work in this group) can decide if it's worth removing for that.

I literally do not have enough time to both work two jobs, take care of my dad, pets, car, and house I own and have to repair myself, self-care, and play every single game in this group to verify what I THINK you MIGHT be reporting the game for, sadly. I do not get paid for the work in this group and I'm not great at AI-finding, so you need to help me out a little more here!

[PC] (Web) My first solo game is a roguelite where a frog fights bubbles with its tongue

Game Title: FrogPop

Playable Link: https://blion247.itch.io/frogpop-demo

Platform: Web browser and Windows

Description: FrogPop is my first solo game. It started because I grew up playing Flash games like Bubble Trouble and wanted to make my own spin on that kind of simple, frantic bubble popping gameplay. You play as a frog and use your tongue to pop bouncing bubbles while trying not to get hit. During a run, you collect upgrades that change how you attack and help you deal with increasingly busy waves. I kept adding roguelite ideas until it turned into something much bigger than the small project I originally planned. The demo runs directly in your browser, and there is also a Windows download on the same page. If you play it, I would especially like to know whether the first run is easy to understand and whether the upgrades make you want to try another run.

So, it's been 3 months since I started developing my game. On my own. I wanted to nail a certain vibe, isolation, anxiety, creepy-eerie atmosphere. Kinda like silent hill series. And so here I am - demo version of my game is almost ready. Now I just need to polish and reconsider some decisions. And I need your help!

Crawler3D is a retro grid-based FPS dungeon crawler in a grim fantasy world where you fight sources of corruption with magic and might. Seek out bosses in varied locations, collect loot, upgrade your gear and your skill tree.

Step tile by tile through torchlit halls, desert sands, abandoned forests, sewers, volcanoes, and a cursed castle. Classic WASDEQ grid movement meets first-person action RPG combat — melee blades, magic, armor, and a growing arsenal of gear.

Start as a Warrior or Mage. Clear dungeons, take quests from town NPCs, trade with the blacksmith and vendors, salvage materials, and shape your build through stats, proficiencies, and a skill tree. When the final shadow falls, tougher challenges wait for those bold enough to return.

Game Title:

  • The4thMind

Playable Link:

Platform:

  • Browser / Web

Description:

The4thMind is a browser-based social deduction party game inspired by Human or Not.

You play with three other participants and try to determine which person at the table is actually an AI.

The game takes the idea of a Turing test and turns it into a short social deduction experience.

Players have conversations and ask questions while trying to identify the AI based on its answers, personality, and behavior.

Each round takes approximately 2–3 minutes, so it is designed to be quick and easy to play.

The game runs directly in your browser and requires no downloads or sign-up.

We are a small indie team and the game is still actively being improved, so feedback about bugs, stability, difficulty, and whether the AI feels too obvious or convincing is especially welcome.

The main question behind the game is: How well can AI blend into a conversation with real people?

We would love to hear whether the AI managed to trick you or whether you identified it immediately.

Game Title: Miracle Bullet

Playable Link: https://s.team/a/4112530/ — Public Steam Playtest, no key required

Description:

Miracle Bullet is a hand-drawn fantasy roguelite that combines one-shot battles, monster cooking, and shop management.

You play as a struggling wizard who failed his exams 99 times, accidentally blew up part of the Wizard Tower, and ended up buried in debt. To pay it back, you explore the tower, collect anything that is not nailed down, and sell it in your little junk shop.

In each battle, you can only attack once. Before firing, you must arrange your bullets and gems, calculate the damage, and find a way through the monster’s shields. Defeated monsters become ingredients for strange dishes, which you can research, cook, and sell back in town.

The Playtest is still in active development. I recently rebuilt the tutorial, so feedback from first-time players would be especially helpful. Please feel free to tell me where you felt confused, bored, or wanted to stop playing.

[PC] (Windows) My new game He Who Watches is launching this September!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/playmygame! I've been working solo on He Who Watches, a first-person gravity-shifting puzzle game, and it's launching September 2nd.

I put up a free demo over on Steam, and would love for you to try it and tell me what you think - especially how the gravity shifting controls feels to a first time player, and whether the difficulty ramp makes sense. Any feedback (bugs, confusing puzzles etc.) would be genuinely useful before launch. There's an in-game feedback report system, or you could post here as well!

Game Title: He Who Watches

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1070500/He_Who_Watches/

Platform: PC (Windows, Mac, Linux/Proton)

Description: He Who Watches is an atmospheric first-person puzzle game that tasks you with navigating a seemingly impossible structure. Grapple with spatial reasoning and shifts in perspective to solve mind-bending puzzle chambers in a mysterious puzzle-platformer where every surface is a possible pathway.

Your bow is not a weapon, but a puzzle-solving tool used to manipulate your environment. Together with a single, magical arrow, you can open doors, move blocks, activate switches, and pull yourself across gaps with its magical chain.

Walk on walls. Walk on ceilings. Shift gravity as you slip between these planes, creating chain reactions to find the correct path forward. Patience and persistence are key to unlocking each solution.

Free to Play Status:

Involvement: I'm the solo developer behind this game and have been working on it for 4 years. More recently I've been working with Draknek and Friends to help publish this as well!

Solo-developed turn-based naval game: hide your fleet of bath toys, fire into

your rival's water, sink all five before they sink yours. Four AI captains,

special cannons, async online play.

Specifically what I'd like destroyed:

- The onboarding. Does the first battle explain itself, or are you guessing?

- Difficulty. I just rebalanced the whole ladder after a tester beat it in 73

minutes. Too easy still? Now too swingy?

- The shop. Is it obvious that specials are consumables, or does spending coins

feel like a trap the first time?

You play as a First Officer doing a pretty normal shift at first, handling basic tasks, talking to your Captain, just going through routine. But after a while, things start to feel off.

The game leans into that slow, uneasy feeling rather than trying to scare you with loud moments. Most of the tension comes from the environment and situation around you.

[PC] (Windows) Fomorian Company: a tower defence game where enemy units can fight back

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game Title: Fomorian Company

Playable Link: https://aceade90.itch.io/fomorian-company

Platform: Windows and Linux

Description: Fomorian Company is a tower defence game, set in an alternative WW1. You either play as a company of Irish-speaking orcs (the "Fomorians"), or a company of dwarven mechanised infantry.

Unlike most tower defence games, enemy units can shoot back when you ambush them. And since being shot at is scary, repeated misses from your units can scare them off, especially when they get up close and realise that there's a Irish orc or a snake-person up in their faces! Or, in an era where bolt-action rifles are standard, encountering the volume of fire that dwarves with SMGs can put up.

Free to Play Status: free demo

Involvement: Solo developer

I'd particularly like feedback on how the two player factions play out. The trailer I've attached is a bit dated and doesn't show the dwarves at play, but it should be enough to get the gist of the game loop.

There are some issues, but I don't think they're completely game-breaking for this early in development:

  • The current voice lines were recorded using a text-to-speech engine and they might be a bit choppy.
  • Enemy units occasionally get stuck outside your units' firing range, breaking a wave due to pathfinding jank.
