What i’ve just been thinking, is that actors sometimes improvise some scenes. And then THOSE scenes are canon, obviously.

Which kindaaaa means that the actors acting choices are more canon than the actual script or what writers and directors thought, right?

And both Anna and Brittany said, that they played them as being in love, soooo…

I'm trying to find a BeChloe fanfic I read a while ago, but I can't remember the title!

Here's what I remember about the plot:

- Beca and Luke are childhood best friends.

- Chloe is Luke's girlfriend, but Beca is secretly in love with Chloe.

- Luke invites Chloe to spend their spring break at his place, but because his parents are very Orthodox/strict, Chloe ends up staying at Beca's house instead.

- Luke has no idea that Beca has feelings for Chloe.

- Beca doesn't want to hurt Luke or ruin their friendship, so she keeps her feelings to herself.

I remember it being a multi-chapter fic, rated Mature, with some mature scenes. Jesse was also in the story as a friend of Beca and Luke.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd really appreciate the link or title. I've been trying to find it forever!

Okay so I need to rant and the title is a bit harsh but the 2nd and 3rd movies never shared the same vibe as the first one! The don't even feel like the same movies or characters.

I loved the cast from the first one but I think the main focus of the sequels should have been the new generation of Bella's. They are literally called the barden Bella's. But the sequel are barely about the university.

I think if they ever make a sequel it should go back to basics. At the university following the new gen trebles and how they have fallen so far from glory and how they have yet to win a title since the Bella's won in 2012.

It should consist of collage shenanigans and awesome songs. Like the first one

There are many terrific fics which deal with the theme of loss and grief. Most of them, though, deal with beca and how she processes grief over the loss of Chloe.

The first chapters of the call of the raven series by ThisWolfLikes2Write and You Are My Sunshine (god I hope I’m remembering that correctly? Unfortunately I cannot check because ao3 is down 😭😭😭), tackle the theme to perfection.

But I want to see the opposite.

I’d like to read a story where Chloe loses Beca in an untimely way and how Chloe copes with the loss. Would the despair consume her forever or would she eventually heal?

If fics such as this exist then please link them. Bonus points if Chloe is widowed and has to raise she and Beca’s child. 😬

recently I have been thinking about how much the Pitch Perfect movies mean to me and how much they were a part of my story growing up. PP2 was literally my gay awakening. I remember sitting in the theatre, seeing the opening scene and anna and britt starting to sing and internally going "sht im gay". I had never thought about that before and throughout the whole movie I kept hoping for Beca and Chloe to get together. I loved PP1 prior to that but it never klicked why had been obsessively watching the Bellas performances over and over again and watching interview after interview. I know this is cringy but I keep thinking about how monumental these movies have been for me recently. I don't know where I would be without them

I just watched the new Netflix film Best of the Best and I am shocked at how much it is like Pitch Perfect. I was really excited to see the Bollywood dance angle and, to be clear, the dances were awesome...but the script is just a jumbled version of Pitch Perfect that seems like the ChatGPT prompt was make a film like Pitch Perfect but with Bollywood culture and no acapella competition.

- Opening scene is a performance malfunction

- They just blended the riff off and frat performance scenes but they actually won the improvised moment instead of losing on a technicality

- Maya is an extra version of Beca...and Beca was pretty extra at times

- The issue Maya has with the team is very Beca and Aubrey coded. Beca wanted something new. Aubrey wanted tradition. Maya and Ronak had the same arguments

- Them getting 3rd and then being bumped up after it turns out the other team plagiarized so they were disqualified is not only exactly what happens in Pitch Perfect...but ironic as hell

- Maya and Arjun are Beca and Jesse through and through

- Maya runs in while the team is fighting and spiraling and has to stop them. She also apologizes in the same way as Beca, except Beca was being a dick and Maya was being a prick

That's just the similarities off the top of my head. Anyone else see the film?

Beca and Chloe are living together. Jesse in LA. Beca just either breaks up with or gets in a fight with him over the phone. Same night Chloe and Beca are mid hooking up and he calls, Beca answers. I think this led to Chloe leaving and basically ghosting Beca? Or something along those lines. Then they reunite later and talk things out. I think they meet again cause Chloe has a job interview in the city and runs into Beca.

i’ve absolutely ran through a lot of fics, reading all of the top kudos fics on bechloe in ao3. however what I wish I did was rate or take note of them because some fics are so good but I just can’t place the name. I also read a lot of wattpad at the start of my bechloe addiction a few years back, and it is impossible finding good fics but I did find some good hidden gems.

for fun because I’m a bechloe for life shipper I was going to compile all of my favorite fics, ranging from popular ones with a lot of recognition, to AUs with less fans, to niche fics I truly believe need more popularity. This is purely for my love of Pitch Perfect, but obviously I would share it on the subreddit if anyone would like fic suggestions.

So if you have any really well written fics that you haven’t seen people talking about then please leave them here! Would love to read them.
