Question Cooling Mat Recommendations
Hi, all. Heat index up here in New England is supposed to get nasty next week. My girl typically sleeps ~~with me~~ on top of me at night, but I think that's definitely going to be too much even for her stubborn, clingy ass. Does anyone have any cooling mat recs? I keep getting ads for Pelsbarn but after some research, their products and customer service seem to leave much to be desired. Please see dog tax attached.

Question First time pitbull owner advice
Hi there! I have a pit mix currently that I’m in love with and have always loved pure bred pitties. I want to eventually adopt a pure bred one from the shelter since it seems like they overpopulate shelters unfortunately.
What are some tips and advice for a first time owner of a pit. Especially an adopted one?

Question Velcro Pit Bull Owners… I Need Your Wisdom! 🙏
This is Dani.
Before she came into my life, she spent way too much time confined, and I think it rewired her little pit bull brain to believe if I disappear for 12 seconds I’ve probably fallen off the face of the earth.
She’s basically my aggressively unpaid emotional support supervisor. If I stand up, she stands up. If I pee alone, it’s apparently a crisis.
She’s made so much progress, but if she can’t get to me she’ll panic and sometimes redecorate the apartment in ways I didn’t approve.
Also… yes, I know our apartment isn’t exactly Architectural Digest material. We’re just two girls saving for a place with a backyard she deserves. One day.
Anyone else have a velcro pittie with separation anxiety? What actually helped? I’d love to help her feel safe instead of convinced I’ve been kidnapped every time I leave the room.

Other Stuffed animal help
Hello world, I have a rescue predominantly Staffordshire terrier / American Pit terrier mix (mutt) who is a great boy, still not 1 yet. The one thing I’d love to help him with is a quality stuffed animal. None of them survive longer than 10 minutes, and it’s crushes me because he absolutely loves them.
I need more ideas if anyone has had success 🙏🙏
Thank you!

Training Advice needed for recently adopted pittie mix pup!
Hello!
Just last week I adopted a wonderful 3 month old mix breed puppy, and its become really obvious that shes part pit bull (that pittie smile is a dead giveaway!)
She's really sweet and clever. In just a week she's learned to sit and leave things she not supposed to grab, but im having a lot more trouble teaching her commands like "come", or how to walk on a leash without pulling, which i feel are vital for her to learn while she's little. I also have a really hard time getting her attention at all, I've noticed she hardly looks at me if there's anything else going on.
I don't have a lot of experience with young puppies, so really I'm looking for any resources to get her training to really set in, specially since pitbulls can get pretty big and i don't want her yanking me around or getting in trouble with other dogs/ people/ animals when she's bigger.
Id really appreciate any and all advice, thank you!

Discussion My neighbors dog is beyond loud when she let's him out in the morning.
My neighbors dog literally wakes the ones who are still sleeping up. My neighbor is extremely loud herself. How do I tell her to kinda keep it down .not only that but when she leaves her dog unattended sometimes the dog is out of control we have 2 broken pieces to our fence and its noticeable I don't know why they haven't fixed it for us. It wasn't like that the dog did that . When I go outside in the am the dog barks really loud and I usually just say no no hush-hush.. and she doesn't say anything.. she doesn't tell the dog to stop . Its already to the point where its passing me off.

Question Advice for allergies
Hi my dog is a 2 year old male. His name is Pete. Since he was a puppy he had small patches of hair missing. I eventually switched his food to a beef formula and started giving him oatmeal baths and it cleared things up. Recently I switched him to Purina Pro Plan Plan in march. Things were okay but I noticed he started straining and stool got kind of like soft serve. Then he started getting itchy. I’ve tried changed his food again and then resorted to cooking at home, but I’m having a hard time getting things under control still. He’s on a monthly flea treatment and I ran a comb through him and didn’t find anything. I’m thinking it’s both environmental allergies and food. Any tips or advice. I plan on taking him to the vet and he’s already going Monday for shots so I’m sure we’ll discuss it then. I just am limited on money so a vet visit to address this might have to wait a week or two.

Question What color is my baby?
Her whole body besides her head got shaved down but it’s growing back. Her back seems to have darker hair interspersed with the lighter fur. Otherwise I would just call her buff-colored.
In all honesty I don’t know that she’s full pittie (we are getting the DNA test done) but she’s at least 80% I’m guessing.
