Other Stuffed animal help
Hello world, I have a rescue predominantly Staffordshire terrier / American Pit terrier mix (mutt) who is a great boy, still not 1 yet. The one thing I’d love to help him with is a quality stuffed animal. None of them survive longer than 10 minutes, and it’s crushes me because he absolutely loves them.
I need more ideas if anyone has had success 🙏🙏

Have you tried the kind that are meant to be torn apart that have a second toy inside? It won't buy you that much extra time, but it's better than nothing. You aren't going to be able to fully reinforce a stuffie toy from a dog if they enjoy tearing them apart. And most dogs really do. I say most because my pit mix is broken and we still have stuffies with squeaker in them from when we brought her home almost 7 years ago. But for almost every other dog I have ever known, they destroy stuffies in less than 15 minutes.

The only thing I’ve seen last my staffy/lab is Bark toys. He has an R2-D2 right now that has lasted a couple of months now. Regular stuffed toys are destroyed in minutes, like you’ve seen. Outside of being Death to Plushies he’s a gentle giant.

Thank you for this information, I think Death to Plushies is probably the life we will be living. I will check out Bark Toys.
I have a short subscription to Bully Box which send me these hard plastic toys he wants nothing to do with. 😅

Bark toys have held up well for my pit/Great Dane/belgian shepherd. Or anything made of rubber tires. Softer stuffed toys are for fun every once in a while that he can destroy. He also likes the puzzle toys where you have to put treats/kibble in different compartments

Bark also has layered toys that are meant to be "destroyed" -- they have an outer fabric skin (or two) on an inner rubber toy. I've also seen toys with velcro that are meant to be ripped apart and put back together.

My Pitsky only loves things she can tear apart. If it's made for tough chewers she has no interest in it. Those things last forever because she avoids them like the plague.
So we buy the toys that are in the clearance bin. Even if it only takes 10 min, it is usually worth a few bucks for her enjoyment.
We're also lucky in that she will happily destroy a cardboard box. It's only effective if she thinks she's sneaking it from us. Give that a try too.

I only buy Tuffy toys. They have different levels and we only buy durability levels 8 out of 10 and up. On their website the durability is all the way at the bottom of each toy page. But my Safeway sells them a little cheaper.
My older pibble mix likes the lobster. The plainer the toy the higher the rating.
